Embraer jets are an absolute blessing for 2 hr or shorter flights. Nothing worse than a turboprop puddle jumper that flies at 12K - 14K ft, in all the gnarly weather. File that under: never ever again.
Looks like a beautiful plane for short hauls. My daughter is on one now flying STL to ORD en route to Boston. Being a smaller plane it just gives the impression of a nicer in cabin experience. Seats look comfortable. Thx for the video!
I flew Salt Lake City to Calgary and back last week on E175's. Wow. Great flights both ways, this is in my list of favorite aircraft. Buries an Airbus A320 in all departments.
Agree. Before my short flight from LAX to SFO, I thought all airplane seats are rock hard. Never image the smallest airplane I have ever flew is so comfortable. After spending 13+ hours in a noisy B777 with hard premium economy seat, this 1 hour flight is so refreshing. The cushion on the seats is not that much. But it's enough to put itself in a different world from all these Boeing and Airbus (well, I am not including the first class seats in this comparison).
might look great but they are as hard as a rock!! So uncomfortable your butt will become numb within an hour xD imagine sitting there for 4. Done that.
@@m1r3o you're probably a coach passenger that thinks everyone fly's coach like you,The first and business class seats are very nice, They are not hard as a rock as you say.Remember you get what you pay for!
I love the new Embraer 175!!! Was surprised how roomy is!! Flown on American Eagle (Envoy) MIA-LGA and love the sound of the engines !!!! The sounds are music 🎶 to me and love ❤️ it’s. Hopefully to fly more frequently. What other regional airlines ordered the E-175?????
Piedmont, Mesa, Express jet, Republic and many others. They al serve the major airlines in the United States and around the world. EMBRAER is a Brazilian company that now partnered with Boeing
I flew on a 175 from Jacksonville to Chicago not long ago. First time on one of these little regional jets. First few minutes felt a little claustrophobic, but really not that bad once I was sitting a while. very smooth flight.
$917 round trip for 3 hour flight first class. Same exact price as Alaska Airlines gives me (but they don't have a nonstop, AA does and is $150 cheaper. (both Business/First Class). Others have TV, usb chargers, cup holders in the arm rests - these first class seats don't even have a table/tray or am I missing something?
Happy to see this video and the comments. I have to fly from Buffalo to Chicago and this is the plane. I was worried it would be the old Bombadier..which I feel trapped in.
Embraer aircraft are very safe, E-Jets have a significantly lower average of accidents per million takeoffs, in more than 20 years no E170 or E175 has crashed causing casualties until now (2024). Unfortunately in Brazil, we only fly by ATR... That's comical!
The extra jumpseat is for deadheading pilots and flight attendants when there is no regular seat available on a full flight. I image the flight deck has one as well.
The cabin for the luggage can fit approx 2.5 allowed carry on. And I think it's calculated for 3.5 person per cabin. So problematic with the space if everyone brings a "proper" carry-on. Flew it from Amsterdam to Munich.
I have read that these new "slimline" seats are comfortable and I have read that they are uncomfortable. Would love to get more opinions from those of you who have flown this aircraft.

A320 carries more people
every department except for capacity, range, speed, flight systems, computers, and sound cancellation. but other than that, all departments.

very love Embraer aircraft but still haven't had a chance to fly with Embraer.

A beautiful short-haul aircraft and I'm sure it will be very popular with passengers.
Thanks for posting.

better and safer than the 737 MAX.

Stay away from the seat closest to the engines unless you want a constant hummmmmmm in your ear
So coach seats from 35 years ago are now first class seats, the airlines should just call themselves Trailways or Greyhound.
You can fly halfway across the country for like $120 these days, who cares about the seats. Its a huge bargain and the E175 is a fantastic plane.

Very few operators of Embraer here in Asia. Can the E175 land on runways designed for ATR 72-600?
Awesome get to board one of these soon.

very cool just cirious how come these aircraft dont have inflight Entertainment.
Simply because the flights are short -less than 2.50hrs- plus companies don't want to add weight for short flights. More weight less passengers
cause these airplanes travel short distances and add weight to the flight.
Im going to guess from recognizing the controller's voice you must be in DCA? Sad that i know that....

Would an electric guitar with hardcase fit in that cabin?
I've seen people bringing their guitars onboard. But, they usually ask the flight attendant to put it in the coat closet.

unfortunately none for that particular airline. they are installed as customer request

No, I meant the customer (airline) as to when they make the order to Embraer to build the aircraft.
