I've been working in aviation line maintenance for more than 14 years and will share the little I know with you. My experiences and tips in aircraft systems and procedures as well as my travels I did throughout these years will be present it to you.

What is hydraulic PTU switch for?
These are my preferred aircraft when the A220 isn't available because of the 2+2 seating...
I have a problem with this airplane. When preparing for takeoff, a wing walker must make a 90 degree walk to the GPU and communication panel to disconnect the LAN connection, WHILE ENGINE ONE IS RUNNING. The distance between engine one and this panel seems very short. Because from my understanding, the dangerous ingestion zone is 15 Feet. Does anyone know the distance between the GPU/communication panel and engine 1?
I work as a ramp agent, normally the Captain starts Engine #2 so the wing Walker is not near the side with the running engine. I'm not sure if the distance of the Ingestion zone to the GPU Panel
@@erikdegby4652 Woah! Are you sure? It makes more sense this way! I am a ramp agent, that works with this aircraft. Engine 1 is started after pushback and then we walk in a 90 degree line towards the GPU panel to disconnect everything😳. They tell us walking the 90 degree angle keeps us safe and away from ingestion zone while that thing is running😡!
Make sure to run solely off the apu, I've had problem with apu running and gpu selected. The ecu doesn't seem to delete the data to remove the messages off the eicas with ground power.

Most likely your steering manifold is bad…. If the reset didn’t work. Let me know

Pilots can see the engine and flight controls in sypnoptic pages in the cockpit. Although,there are interoceanic airlines that have cameras all over, for the entertainment of the passenger

should you really be using the ptu this way? 175/190 checks before departure are at least 25 minutes, the hydraulics will get to temp on their own by then.
This is only done by maintenance when acft needs to be relocated and no time to wait 25 min

I absolutely love this! I’m currently an Airframer in the Navy and part of my dream career when I get out is to do exactly this. It’s nice seeing the other side of these aircraft’s from the Maintenance and Ground Crew’s perspective vs the passengers. Great video man! Aviation is such an awesome field.

Would an electric guitar with hardcase fit in that cabin?
I've seen people bringing their guitars onboard. But, they usually ask the flight attendant to put it in the coat closet.
@@aircraftsystemsembraerfami5888 some plane’s cabins are so small. They even do not accept cabin size luggages that’s why I wanted make sure if the overhead bins large enough for a guitar. Or do you think they carry guitar in a different place in the plane?
@@jdm3014 if you are flying this type of aircraft EMBRAER, Yes it will fit. But like I said the crew will rather have it in the first class closet. If you go to the airline web site you are using, there u can find the aircraft type for that particular flight segment. If it is Embraer you're good
