    I absolutely love this! I’m currently an Airframer in the Navy and part of my dream career when I get out is to do exactly this. It’s nice seeing the other side of these aircraft’s from the Maintenance and Ground Crew’s perspective vs the passengers. Great video man! Aviation is such an awesome field.

    The similarity but scale makes me feel like I'm doing a walk around for 737, but I'm 2.5meters tall...

    Aircraft systems EMBRAER family : Why do the strobes change from winglets to enhanced winglets?

    Hey thanks for take your time and share your knowledge. Just a simple doubt, and I don't wanna sound dramatic, it's just simple curiosity. Placards on MLG indicate chocks must be on outboard tire?

    • @aircraftsystemsembraerfami5888
      @aircraftsystemsembraerfami5888  7 лет назад +3

      no. those placards are just values for brake and tire installation.
      It really doesnot matter where you put the chocks as long as they are firm on the ground to prevent acft movement

    Why the uneven tread wear on the left onboard tire on the main gear?
    Also what is the rattling noise when you rotated the engine fan blades?

    • @aircraftsystemsembraerfami5888
      @aircraftsystemsembraerfami5888  6 лет назад +6

      Tires wear on one side more than others because many reasons, one could be that the aircraft lands on its sides (cross wing landing) or others tires are not inflated equally. In this case is because the tire was change when it reached its wear limit. The other tire was good still and it did not need to be change yet.
      The engine rattling noise is because the blades have some clearance on their root, and when they are on the 12 o’clock position they drop just enough to make that metal noise.

      The fan blades are mounted “loosely” so they can’t vibrate like tuning forks which could cause undesirable harmonic effects like possible structural failure at resonant frequencies.

    What's the PSI on those tires if you know? Maybe nitrogen is different from oxygen though or regular air in terms of PSI as well :)

    • @aircraftsystemsembraerfami5888
      @aircraftsystemsembraerfami5888  6 лет назад +1

      146 main and 110psi nose (nitrogen)

      Had a plane come into the hanger overnight and one tire was 120psi hot - was an instant tire change.

    Why don’t they install cameras so pilots can see engines and control surfaces?

    • @renzobenavides8889
      @renzobenavides8889 2 года назад

      Pilots can see the engine and flight controls in sypnoptic pages in the cockpit. Although,there are interoceanic airlines that have cameras all over, for the entertainment of the passenger
