The most likely reason the FA "invited" a few other passengers to join you in First Class is due to weight and balance issues. On lightly loaded flights such as yours we need to move passengers from the aft part of the aircraft to the front to balance the aircraft.
I don't think so they would have loaded the luggage to take care of the weight and balance. Removing a few passengers to the front won't make that much difference. What it does help is for the flight attendants so they don't have to walk as far. Keep everybody closed and they can have an easier time serving them or answering questions
I was going to say the same thing. I remember one time I was near the front and the flight attendant asked if there were passengers who wanted to move to the back. I volunteered. The reason why, the passenger sitting next to me was fatter than a hippopotamus. When I boarded the aircraft he already had the arm rest up where some of his blubber spilled onto the area of my seat. It was only an hour flight (San Francisco to Burbank) but I didn't want to deal with that the entire time.
@@tomwilliam5118 On larger aircraft they generally do this but not often on smaller regional aircraft like the E175 on down, and YES, it can absolutely make a difference.
I personally think the E-175 is one of the most underrated aircraft, even though it’s small, it flies just as nicely as all the other short-haul aircraft like the A320 family and the 737 family, and I like it even better then those because even whilst sitting in economy, the legroom is insanely amazing!!
I’m flying the E-175 from SAT-SFO then 787 onwards to Osaka. The SAT-SFO portion is blocked for 4 hours and 23 minutes. It’s in first class also but that’s still a long flight for such a small plane. In my experience airlines like to add about 20 minutes or so worth of buffer to keep their stats up so hopefully it’ll be just under 4.
I love E jets. I'm a bigger guy who has a hard time on Boeings usually. But one of my most comfortable trips was an American Eagle flight from Dallas to Billings, MT and it's a plane I would go out of my way to fly on.
Your videos are always so helpful when I'm trying to decide which flights I want to take. I wondered what this plane was like to fly, and now I know. I love all the info you give us about the terminals, too.
I'm looking forward to my first E175 flight. The single-seat configuration on the right is marvelous, especially in these times of COVID and its variant spreading.
I love this aircraft, mainly because there is a very high chance of upgrade to 1st class on this particular aircraft, because the ratio of first class seat to economy seat is very high.
Great video! I am flying one of these this weekend in seat 1A and this shows me exactly what to expect. I am a pilot and probably the reason they moved those people up front is for weight/balance considerations. One thing we learn in training is that it's dangerous to have too much weight aft. If you're going to have an unbalanced weight distribution you want most of it in front. Anyway I don't know if that's why they did it but I think there is a good chance. Thanks for the review!
i flew first class on an e175 a few weeks ago from IAD to DTW, i loved it :) the legroom was amazing, (this is coming from a person who is 5'4 haha but my brother is 5'10 and he had the same opinion) i was in seat 3c (aisle). (the ticket itself does NOT have lounge access, but due to my premier 1k status, we could still enter the lounge) however, one complaint i have was the lack of personal item space :)
Great video, loved every second of it! I have an Alaska/SkyWest 175 going up tomorrow morning on my channel, and the pilot kept the idle reversers engaged until we had turned around and we were actually on the taxiway, it was really odd.
Oh yeah, just got off a delta E175, they feel like a slightly more upgraded experience since they offer both usb and regular power outlets, while United only offers power outlets, and american offers neither (even on their newest E175). Enjoy your flight
I fly on this plane often when crossing Texas on shorter flights, like Amarillo to Houston or Dallas and vice versa. As a man who is 6'5", I do not use the lavatory haha.
Hi, I love all your vids, especially of my favorite United for sure. I love these EMB 175's & 170, even JBU 190.. They give a good ride most of the time, except maybe this flight where you were fighting T-Storms & Turb.. I watch you & Chriss Jazz alot on these flights.. How safe is Le'on Mexico, I mean do you feel safe there, like safe from the Cartel ? What some other airports you'd like to see ? I love your videos & his.. At same time I get to go flying through your camera eyes.. I'm 5'10 but I still love those EMB 175 & I also like the ERJ 145.. I remember taking that down to Brownsville, South Padre Island TX alot when my sister lived down there.. I love those planes, cause when you take off they take off quick & you get up in a hurry in ERJ, I remember long ago, back in mid 90's to 2000 taking ATR 42 IAH-BRO Those use to give a pretty good ride too.. Your were lower alt so you got too see more from looking down on the ground.. Keep up the good video's..
I much prefer the ERJ with the 1-2 FC seating. I always shoot for the A side to have my own seat. !A is a great seat. Even on short flights its totally worth it to use miles for First Class.
I don’t understand why GAP (Grupo Aeropuertario del Pacifico) neglects their airports so much BJX,CUL, LAP,MLM, TIJ ,AGU, HMO could all use some love.Especially BJX and TIJ

On a similar short flight LAX-SAN, and I think also on an E175, I was given a pre-boarding upgrade to F while being just basic Mileage Plus. That was a surprise! But it was a 30 minute flight, so not a big deal really. - Red

American does give you lounge access if you fly on an international flight in their Admirals Club but, Delta doesn’t though unless you fly in their Delta One Cabin
I will soon be flying my first time on business/first class. What’s the best seat to in? The front left because you get more legroom and theres no one in front of you or the back left because you are able to lean back all the way without bothering the person behind you and theres no one to kick your seat? Also it was hard to see if the front left has power ports.
Why and how could you have filmed 2 different First Class Seats ?? One had the aisle armrest liftable and on the following plan, it had the old seat design ... how can it happen ??

When I booked my tickets for my last trip, the airline would charge me an additional $10 to choose a seat, or I could wait until the day of the flight and they would choose it for me.
