@@Dont14-r4k Correct, first impression videos are....not that useful. They serve to release a video when a ship comes out, the opinions stated about the ship should basically be ignored.

Adding to "watching other CCs or just creators in general", is to try to find some that you disagree with, because that will help broaden your perspective on something. Like I don't agree with PQ a lot of the time, but his views are still important to me to make my own decisions on things.
You can't make a properly informed decision in an echo chamber.

PQ and Flambass feel like the no men for me. They’re willing to criticize quickly, and criticize often. Their opinions can be harsh, but they give you a good pause to think about how you’re really feeling about the state of the game.
PArt of the reason it probably felt bad early on is because of the superfiring turret aim bug, if you were getting more and more frustrated in middle- and close-range engagements. The raised second turret will hit at a point higher than what you're aiming for. As in and setting aside things like sigma, normal dispersion cones, etc, and thinking of the turrets as firing a laser, the front/lower turret will hit exactly what you aim at and the second/higher/superfiring turret will hit a decent bit above that.

For that to be noticeable you'd have to be 3km's or less away, he was just unlucky, nothing to say

what i observe from the rng is that for American bb while reloading constant aiming at the enemy through the scope gives you more accurate shots.

Potato here… Yeah I’d value a video on WoWs client mods too.
I use Aslain’s mod pack because it’s simple and easy to install.
Re-downloading and reinstalling every update (average of 9-12 Aslain updates per WoWs point release) could be seen as a disadvantage but I take it as an opportunity to re-check what I like and swap between options to try and work out what combination of mods from the pack works best for me.
He does have a video from a few years back talking about the mods he uses, still relevant today
I think comparing it with Slawa would maybe make more sense than to Montana. Different hull and different Shell arcs but overall, pretty similar accurate low-shell-volume squishy battleship. Anyway keep up the honest work.
I think what wasn't showcased in this clip is how great it is against DDs and cruisers. You were mainly shooting BBs all game but you can easily get 5k+ salvos into DDs which is really big. And that's with AP loaded.
PQ is still the best wows youtuber! I think it's obvious you are genuine that's why I watch.

Going for max range is kinda silly, as with other American BBs. The flight time is so god damn long, that you almost need to see the future to be able to hit anything at max range.
I got my Whiskey yesterday and only played a couple of games. Damn, it is so nice when the guns shoot where you aim. I definitely like it more than the Monty, and especially more than the Iowa. I'm almost afraid it will sour other battleships for me, because they don't have the same gun handling.
Hey, only found your channel a few days ago as I got back into playing WoWs on xbox - played this a bunch through the pandemic but haven't played it in years, built my gaming pc and really fancy downloading and playing the pc version but it seems quite intimidating and quite a grind 😂 whats ur advice for a new player on pc with some decent experice coming from the console version ?
I think Montana and the Iowa hull ships should get the better shells from this ship, the better penetration performance.

You.need to play your review ships with the commander you get from get go, Jo a 21 point commander. Use 6 or 10 point normal commanders, not every one has.21 point elite and special commanders, they make a huge difference

even if it was truly bad, im still buying it, american bbs look gorgeous + its a real steel ship so its already better than 70% of the ships in game lol
The ship you need another look at is Jean Bart
You play it nose in not kiting,..... also have poor dispersion, so could be a good ship for you to master

Don't beat yourself up about it PQ. WG-games do be like that, it's why i stopped playing World of tanks. You get a week where RNG takes you out to dinner, pays the bill without you needing to ask and treats you like a princess - and then you SUFFER for 1 month straight

A review should be how you see it. Some games comes down to the team and the opposition and some games just are not fun. With a new ship such as this anything to quell the FOMO is helpful. A review is a review and you have followed up on that. We are human and learn as we go.

Do u have any advices about the most optimal camera setting for aiming ? Some time I aim right at the water line of a broadside ship and only get penetrations but not citadel hits. My main ship is Vermont.
Rng be rnging no matter what and bbs are like the most rng class in the game

I wonder if WG going to give New Jersey basically a HE spam version of Iowa. It still have super heavy AP shell. With 32 seconds reload. But trade off with better HE damage and shorter Flooding recovery time.
Lot of Wehraboos crying coz too much HE spammer that they cant play secondaries build in random and now make another HE spamming? You want make them pour more tears at corner?

@@eiresby2344 SAP New Jersey sounds good too. Maybe replace HE with SAP nerf the reload to 35 seconds. But special thing about New Jersey Sap is that it does exact the same damage as 406 Super Heavy AP shells. Slightly worse penetration angles compared to Italian SAP. Basically it can delete a DD with well aim. Even with French Saturation.

For the people who don’t play American battle ships they hate them because they don’t know how to play them American battleship guns are hard to learn how to aim because at range they shoot low so you gotta shot a little high and up close they shoot high so you gotta aim a little low once you figure out how to aim the guns they are actually really fun to play

50k+ on a Monti with 406 guns is absolutely insane. You will close to never do this on an Ohio, e.g.

These ships can be nerfed btw they are not immune like the older premiums just be aware.
CC's are paid by WOWS with ingame goodies and therefore not an unbiased party.

You must have the youtube fairy on your shoulder cause my dispersion is rubbish. Secondaries should be a little further out, shells are so slow and 30 sec reload is crap should be 25 secs at the most

Most of the CC's I like to watch for a well rounded opinion of the game hate WG for their scummy tactics. Never forget the mass exodus of the original group of CCs who as a group unanimously took a stand against the evil that is WG.

I think u had bad luck and maybe you were trying to hard and getting frustrated. Sometimes u just need a break. Any time wg saying its good dispersion dont expect good dispersion. Just like when they say good aa dont expect good aa lol
