Slava is still the best sniper with the best ballistics. Still more accurate than whiskey and much better ballistics. Less armor but better guns and shells
@dangardner8456 Those aim bugs and rng are not exclusive to slava and apply to wisconsin too, so that argument is irrelevant. And Slava is a much better sniping platform with much better shells, ballistics and guns. That means less reliant on rng. Wisconsin have American AP which is slow as hell so you can't even play far back like slava even if you want to. Wisconsin is a tier 9 ship that is moved to t10 and melts like butter on asphalt on a sunny day with that t9 hp, so it is not particularly tanky. Even with funny button. Also, while slava plays at the back because of less armor, it can have kuznetsov and it has hidden armor plates. Btw snipers do not need armor like a kremlin. That is why they are snipers. ;) and slava is a real sniper. Wisconsin is not. All American bbs are mid range ships.

Thoughts: 1) I agree with you on the Unique Upgrades. Using the ship to earn them was a good way to get experience with and understand the ship, and to get a grip on what fitting them would do to her performance. (I earned my Minotaur UU with the ship in the old fashion.) 2) The HE, being 150mm (nearly six inch), can be quite useful. I think you missed opportunities to potentially start fires on angled targets or ships that had taken a flood. 3) I've never been more tempted to forego a research bureau ship and grab a few Unique Upgrades instead (specifically Sicilia, Elbing, Vermont). 4) Lutjens is valuable to German destroyers, to which he grants a situational heal (as you benefited from here). I was tempted to put mine on the Schlieffen, but he ended up on my Z-52. I could easily find homes for a dozen Lutjens-es. Thank you for doing these Unique Upgrade reviews.
I earned Conqueror upgrade mod the old way to make the 457mm Conqueror better. Then they brought out the Thunderer when i was on hiatus from WoWS, and took away my 457mm guns and then the Thunderer disappeared so now im just stuck with 419 Conqueror. Makes me so mad.
It’s got the same niche as Sherman and the two ships somehow ended up on the two ends on PQ’s spectrum of destroyer preferences. Really relieved to see that resolved
Haven't played in over a year, yet still insanely excited to see this video pop up. Once you get a feel for Elbing and the dmg it can provide from range, it is insanely addicting. Was always saddened that you didn't get that the last 2 times you played it.

It's pretty rare you need to use HE in Elbing. Even against DDs the AP overpens will often be as much or more damage than your HE chunks, especially if you get Full Pens when they are slightly but not fully angled. I'll occasionally use the HE to set some fires on nose-in BBs, but that's about it honestly. Or to secure a kill on a stubbornly nose-in DD that's low and I don't want bounces. It's honestly funny how many DDs will pick fights with Elbing not realizing the 25mm armour plating and 35k health makes her absurdly tanky and then get absolutely smashed by her consistent and reliable DPM, even if it's not the highest DPM. Played Leg Elbong a few times this week and ruined some overly brave Shermans, Klebers, Gdansk, etc without even breaking a sweat.
Well, about Elbing LM: I did like the ship even before they added the Motorboost and released the Leg Mod, but didn't find the turret traverse very enjoyable. Which for me made the LM a must have/Patch day purchase, which I did and don't regret at all. In regard to the accessibility of LMs: - I do agree that the old system was more newbie/casual friendly - While it was a slow grind for most players, it did at least teach you a lot about the ship itself (unless the LM completely changes how a ship plays), which isn't a bad thing either - For veterans the new system is imho slightly faster, as long as you have the x2 bonus for RB and don't care too much about opportunity costs. - Best of both worlds would be a system, where you could either buy it for RB points or manually grind it by playing the ship itself. But I don't think this will ever happen, because of that opportunity cost aspect and WG trying to slow down the game economy (+ with collab/event copies of T10 ships giving WG the option to sell direct access to these legendary modules).

What do you mean, "too much love?" Monarch's balance changes have been 1. about 2km more gun range, 2. a 0.05 sigma increase, and most notable of all 3. a superheal instead of a standard heal. I recently re-set my UK BB line and am back at Monarch and from my experience, the only noticeable difference is the superheal. The extra range is nice, especially in passive T10 games, but means little if RNG decides you don't get to hit anything. Ditto on the extra 0.05 sigma. My most recent Monarch game was just the other night and it was a struggle to land more than 3 or 4 shells on BB's even at 12-ish km. As for the superheal, 1 of my very first games back in Monarch about 1 1/2 weeks ago was an excellent example. It was a double up-tier with stock ship modules, so A hull with 53,900hp, 26.6 knot speed and 17.9 gun range. Needless to say, I stayed at range spamming HE, mostly kited and ended up with about 110k damage and was 1 of the last to die. Overall, Monarch remains a very average BB.
Ill remember that Great torpedo hack for enemies turning in.. getting spotted firing at the ship to bait them into turning back into the torps. I like ccs like flambass sometimes but the educational content and borderline unsettling bouts of laughter set you apart from all the others.
It's a tier 10 Z-31, I tell everyone it's a heavy destroyer or a super light cruiser and you should play it as such, looking forward to getting the Elbing!

The HE is actually semi good on the Elbing, it is used as standard, light ships on fire, spam AP. Elbing is my fav. DD in the gamem and it is the only ship i have seen that can cit at 18.6km range that is not a BB :)
Elbing is one of my most played ships. I however play it max range for how funny it is. With the range you had on this build, HE is rarely needed. It only really comes into play at 14km+ range when you aren't going to pen with AP on BBs so you just want to set fires. Also I find that I get a ton of torp hits by just dumping them on CD.
@@SofaKingA Cooldown. Basically as soon as they load send them in to a random zone where red ships might be going to push. Slow torps often get hits precisely because by the time they arrive you are off somewhere else visibly doing something else, so people don’t expect them.
i would argue that the reload buff is the most important buff, so long as your team is actually shooting. the % increase on reload is higher than the % hp healed. so if your team has 3x reload buffs, and the red team has 3x heal buffs, your team will out damage the healing they possess. imo the buffs should be prioritized in this order: reload►damage►HP►heal but i'm just some guy, and this is just some game.

Elbing is low-key the biggest flex ship in the game. Even more than radar Mino, there is no ship that has a higher skill ceiling than Elbing. A god in the right hands. And yes, HE on the Elbing basically doesn't exist.
Well u have to make use of the torps when not in smoke and use the guns either when the other ships have shot already or u force them to shoot u and miss or take small dmg so that u can smoke and keep em spotted and shoot in smoke so yeh that's mostly the gameplay...u use HE first, get a fire or two and if not dcpd then u use SAP for alpha dmg so yeh that's mostly this dds gameplay
People have been sleeping on Schultz and Elbing, calling them “weak” DDs. Sure, whatever. What other DDs win broadsides against CAs and BBs. These things are nutty and punch so high out of their weight class.
it annoys the hell out of me in this game it feels like BBs, the ships with the largest caliber cannons have the shittiest, most inconsitent damage, ill fire a Kursfurst AP salvo at a broadside Cruiser and watch 4 shells fall short, 3 fly over, 2 go to the sides 1 non pen 1 torp protection hit 1 overpen for 850 damage. i then get a wall of Deepwater torps from the Yugomo {however its spelled} thats 6km away full invisble that promptly throws smoke and then HE spams whats left of me I hate that everyone complains nobody pushes but the devs do everything they do to stop brawlers from brawling.
