His driving style reminds a lot of Alonso's. Those aggressive turn ins really rotate the rear exactly where he wants it. And the speed he's carrying through the corners is absolutely mental.

It is so damn statisfying to watch such great and consistent laps.
Gonna start sim racing right after my major exams and would definitely aspire to be of this caliber.
i can advise you to start simracing calmly and not expect to be on this level after a few months. the pace of the top esports drivers is the result of many years of hard work
If you aspire to be of this caliber then just don't lose motivation. It's hard. I remember when I first tried to get on pace with these guys. I was 5 seconds a lap slower than them per lap...and I thought I was driving fast 😂 guess I was wrong.
It took me 3 months and I slowly chipped away at it. I can lap within 0.3 tenths of these guys now. Just don't give up and you'll get there.

With the performance upgrade that downgraded massively Ferrari engines, it's now way easier to catch Leclerc. Apart from that Jarno is a monster, one of the best on this game. No question about it.

I believe that "swing" of the car is to make the braking line angled to the track line- hence making the braking distance measured parallel to the track shorter. BTW friendly reminder that you could compare pad vs wheel physics using axis mapping software (to make you wheel be recognized as gamepad).

Watching JD’s onboards thinking I’ll never be that fast vs watching Opmeer’s and my mind is just blown.
I find shifting very quickly into 1st gear and back to 2nd gear before you straighten out gets you a great launch out of the first corner

Well you're trying to get more weight on the right tyres which means more grip (at least with f1 tyres, which can cope with the loads)

he is, this way the weight is already on the right which prevents the car from having weight transfter at the start of ascari and allows him to carry more speed
Interesting the comment on turning out to right a nudge and then back in for left turn. Just like skiing, particularly telemark, to get that weight transfer onto a new edge for the turn. Both feel natural.

That aggressive turn to the outside before the turn is interesting. Not realistic but gotta take all the game will give you.
I’d like to see some corner by corner analysis if possible JD. Screenshots and speed with your commentary. You could work out the differences from that and improve the small fractions you need. Would teach us mortals a lot too!

You definitely have the 1 lap pace as seen in the world record lap times you do often. I think the low speed or sub 150kph corners Jarno shines more so as compared to you plus he does it consistently. You definitely have that potential, just need to be more aggressive with the wheel like you said. When I've watched your live streams you definitely are more gentle on the wheel and seeing jarno he just flings that wheel in the tight chicanes. I suspect that is very difficult and so understandable why he is one of the very best.

P.S. I have only 13 years old and I use 90 of difficulty (no assists)
All these pro drivers use 110 AI, but 90 ain't bad
90 isn't a bad difficulty. I'm the same age as you on a controller, and I play 100
At the moment I use 90 but gradually increase it to give myself more challenge and make myself a better driver

You double dip when you swing the car like that. Not only are you using the steering wheel to turn the car you are also using the momentum of the swing to keep pace in the car and naturally shift the direction.
My opinion is, that they should create divisions from 1 to 3 or 5th division, and use a point system obviously to where relegations happens. They can make good money and can take advantage of the data of more players...

I used to think I was awesome at F1. Compared to people in my local area that I would play against, I was always ending up with huge gaps behind me as they struggled to match my pace... then I went online and didn't even break the top 500...

The swinging left to right for corners is called the scandinavien flick. Its commonly used in rally raising to complete tight hairpins and corners

F1 2021 needs to bring back ERS modes 1 Low 2 Medium 3 High 4 Overtake 5 Hotlap I dislike the ERS this year cuz the deployment deceases quickly
NO. the current system is realistic man. in real life they don't change the ers modes all the time, norris and others complained a lot about it when they played f1 2019.

Time and patience. It doesn't happen overnight and there's no secret formula. Playing against other players who you consider to be good, watch their videos and play consistently is the way you improve leaps and bounds overtime.
One key is to always enjoy it. If it becomes a chore or you find yourself frustrated more often than being happy, then take a break and approach it again.
It still pains me people use T-Cam to be honest..

Its so strange, i have to use abs on, otherwise its just impossible to brake, does someone know what ihave to do based on my setting
same, i’m on a thrustmaster tmx so the pedals aren’t the best so i just stick to abs.
Practice trail braking, when you brake it isn't all just "slam and send it".
People who dont use abs probably also have $950 pedals that also vibrate, so theres that..

by approaching the turn from the inside back to the outside before the turn he gets a very good control on the directional grip of the outerside tires helping him max his speed around those turns with consistency

I play the Ps4 version. A gamertag of VSR_Vasterracer has a 217,000. So yeah its really difficult. Im only in the Top 3%. My first try ever out of 16,000 on Ps4. So, im pretty happy about that but not satisfied.
