Top notch m8. This is the first video I've watched detailing the steps of the rolling process. I also liked that you kept it short and concise. Thanks a lot.
Sushi is so delicious ! I have already made four sushi dinners by myself so far and still I can't wait for another sushi meal... I strongly recommend that japanese food for all of you mates ! Thank you !
I didn't follow this recipe, but the concepts were the same. My first sushi roll fell apart due to having too much rice (whoops), but the second roll came out so much better! I had never made sushi before, and I was quite suprised how tasty it came out! Also, instead of using a bamboo wrap in plastic wrap, I used a silicone sushi wrapper that I found on Amazon, and it worked well!
@@Kjell-bq5lg It was fun to make and turned out pretty nicely. The first one I made was fat lol but the second one I put less inside and it turned out perfect.
@@assassinn8er656 I made sushi as well yesterday and I messed up the rice at first so I had to make new rice lol and I put WAY to much rice in the first roll which made it thicc as hell haha but I only had forgotten how to make it since I made sushi several times already haha the following roles were very nicely done and I even made a california roll:))
Loved this recipe! The rice was so delicious! When I order sushi, the rice is usually very bleak and has no taste, but I really loved this one. It was also super easy to make for beginners
Also: if you're struggling with the rice, which is what I always found to be the most difficult part, this is what I do. For 2 cups of rice, to 2 and a quarter cups of water: Rinse the rice until the water runs clear, then soak the rice for 30 minutes in water. Put the rice in a pot, and make sure the pot has a lid that fits snugly. Bring the rice to a boil, and the minute the rice has come to a boil, turn it down to a simmer and set a timer for 15 minutes. DO NOT LIFT THE LID. Don't lift it while bringing it to a boil and don't lift it to check. I know it's tempting, but don't lift the lid. It lets all the steam out. Once the 15 minutes is up, move the pot off the heat, (once again, DO NOT LIFT THE LID), and wait another 15 minutes. You should have perfectly cooked, fluffy sushi rice :) works for other rices as well, I've found.
Some folks may not be able to afford a rice cooker, and others may not want to take up more space in their kitchen with one :) no harm in cooking it the old fashioned way.
Thank you for this tutorial! I always thought this was the kind of thing that was way too hard to try at home, but I tried this today, and it went really well!
Always wanted to try making sushi myself, but I've always been told it's ridiculously difficult to do. You make it look so easy so I'm going to at least try with some smoked salmon, cucumber and maybe some spring onion to make it relatively simple... (and also not risk getting food poisoning from bad raw fish...)
