i dont mean to be so off topic but does anyone know of a method to log back into an instagram account..? I was stupid lost the password. I love any help you can offer me.
I've been rolling joints for almost ten years, so maybe I'm a step forward to begin with the art of sushi? edit: this year I complete 10 years rolling joints and now I'm making my own sushi
Lmfao thats what i thought i just started as a sushi chef with no fucking experience at all and imma tell u i can roll jointa all day rolling joints aint like rolling sushi lol
I'm a former restaurant owner/cook and foodie, lover of cuisines of every imaginable variety. I recently, after seeing a TikTok, decided to try to make my own sushi. I'm all in now! I'm making sushi and Japanese food every day. I am little obsessed, but I've changed my diet so drastically that I was able to bring down my cholesterol to normal levels and avoid statins. Thank you for your videos. Thru you, and others, I've made this life changing switch that has been so much fun, AND potentially life saving. Keep em coming! Very watchable, easy to follow content. Makes me smile!
Thank you for the positive comment Stacey! I'm very happy that my video is able to help you live a healthier life, means a lot. Keep it up and I hope to bring some new content out soon!
Hi Sushi Man, Just wanted to thank you, saw this guide 2 weeks ago and i have now finally made my own sushi with no hickups, because of your guide. Thank you very much for a very detailed and easy to follow guide.
I was just given a promotion to sushi chef at the restaurant I work at! Thank you for helping me prepare for my first day as a chef! I’ll surprise everyone with what you’ve taught me!
This is by far the best sushi tutorial on RUclips. For the past few years all my attempts to make sushi were ugly AF, and fell apart when attempting to eat them. Not to mention that making the “inside out” roll was completely out of the question. Using this tutorial I just made all 4 of these rolls and all 4 of them came out at least 80% as nice as the ones he made. Mine were at least Grocery store quality which is not something I could ever say before. I would even serve it to friends without being embarrassed; before I never would have dreamed of it. Thank you so much for this amazing tutorial. This added a lot of value to me, for real.
Ive made sushi around 8 times and this helped me a lot with the rolling. The thing about the inside out roll still having the seaweed seal at the bottom was very informative
Just started a new job, they threw me on sushi and it was easier to pick up then i thought it would be, but this video definitely helped me fill in some of the blanks on technique. Thank you immensely.
Dude same to me i get so nervous tryna roll it tight enough ans also any knives u recommend to but to cut sushi ive always been a grill and satue cook and they randomly thru me on sushi at my job because were short staffed but having a real hard time picking up the trade any advice or tips?
Thanks for the positive comment Dmitri and I'm glad the video was helpful! Hope you're job is going well and let me know what type of content you would like to see in my future videos.
I've been trying around a few asian recipes because my favourite restaurant closed, so I bought some stuff from the store to make sushi, including some sake, which I didn't know had alcohol (I thought it was a type of diluted vinegar and I grew up in a household without alcohol so I didn't know what it smelled like) and I tried some and it tasted really good (don't judge me I love mustard, wasabi and everything that's pickled) so I drank the entire bottle (except the two spoons I needed for the rice of course) there is rice all over the kitchen and I'm not sure where the cucumber slices are but my sushi rolls are round as hell. 10/10 for this tutorial
You sir are the GOAT! Like many before have said, you can find plenty videos on YT how to roll sushi, but your's the most accurate and fool proof I've could find. So thank you very much for the effort! 💪🏻
this definitely helped me figure out what went wrong when i tried rolling some earlier .. they still turned out ok but not tight enough , i didn't realize you fully cover the ingredients first , next time will be better i'm sure.
I decided to try making sushi last night and came across your page when looking up how to make sushi rice. I watched this video and a few others and made some amazing sushi on the first try and it's all thanks to this page. I think I will try making hand rolls tonight now that I've nailed how to make sushi rice.
Just made a salmon, avocado and cream cheese roll before watching this and I should have watched this first it would have come out much better! Very helpful thank you
I love how you make funny comments while giving excellent instructions 😁 I’m about to try making sushi for the first time after watching several of your videos. From one Jun to another, great content and thank you!
Thank you so much for making this video. I’ve been trying to roll sushi but it never turns out the way I want it to. I’m going to be making sushi for dinner tonight, and I actually feel confident doing it this time after seeing your video. 😃
You made that look so easy. When we no its not. I did see that I've never seen tha mats covered in cling rap before. No wonder people can't do it properly when trying to do it on the mat without the cover. Thanks for that. Definitely going to try out after just watching how to make your sushi rice. 🍣
🌴 Yep it’s me again, I’m binge watching your vids, ha you make it look so easy, one thing that nobody talks about is the rice should be cooled a bit before you use it , I learned the hard way putting hot rice after you put in the seasoned vinegar and using it right away will destroy your nori when you go to roll it and having rice that to moist from adding to much vinegar making it wet , soggy sushi , will fall apart, another is over filling the roll , I guess this is where experience comes in, thanks again for another great vid , 👍🏼
Glad you enjoyed the video! And yes, it's best to cool the rice down before using. You can also fan it while you mix in the vinegar to cool it down faster. Sounds like you're learning a lot through trial and error though, which is great! That's how we gain experience 😊
I just rolled the bombest Salmon and Avacado Uramaki thanks to you(first ever homemade sushi roll)! I topped it off with sweet soy glaze and siracha mayo🔥
I absolutely enjoyed your video..thank you very much..I am going to enjoy making these right away. Will absolutely get back to you and keep you udated on my making these.. Thank you again
Thanks Angela! If you don't want to use plastic wrap I recommend rolling with the seaweed on the outside or you can find a non-stick plastic rolling mat.
Update: sushi turned out amazing for my first time. The trick though is the sushi rice. My 1st time make sushi was a little soggy...I think because in the instructions, it says to soak rice for 20-30 mins. Not a fan.. lol I mean I've been cooking rice since I was 9! Not every rice cook the same! Lol Anyway, the second time, I only rinsed till all the starch runs clear and then I cooked it. I have pictures on my Instagram to prove it. 😆😆 My family and I had sushi 2 nights in a row! The second time around the rice was PERFECT!! It was more easier to spread on the seaweed.
Love the clear and precise instructions, they're genuinely helpful. Do not love the excessive amounts of cling foil, too much plastic. You suggest to use a "damp, wet towel". You know that damp is also a stage of wetness, don't you? And since you're using such a nice long-bladed knife, I suggest you use the full length of that blade and make one single drawing motion to cut the rolls rather than sawing them in order to get a cleaner surface and nicer looking pieces.
Wow 👏 Thank you so very much for teaching step by step. You are the best. This will be my first time of making sushi. I bought the kit last weekend. Can't wait to make sushi. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️from NewYork ❤️ Komal
i just tried making my first ever sushi rolls today, the first two didn't turn out great lol, but i kept practicing using your tips and guidance and im happy to say i've improved!!! thanks so much for this video, i cant wait to make some more tomorrow!!

This was a very helpful instructional vid done. Delivery of info, simple variety of examples & reminders of the tedious-looking extra steps being almost necessary for good & aesthetic sushi 🍣.
This is a great tutorial. I made sushi for the first time yesterday and it came out really well but I have seen a few things here which I have been doing wrong. Cant wait to try again tonight as I think after watching this, it will come out amazing! 👍
