That was fantastic! Thank you everyone! I really enjoy watching Downton Abbey! The characters are all brilliant and their storylines are so fabulous, sad, happy or in between. I am a senior, have watched a lot of series and movies in my life but Downton Abbey outshines them all. ❤❤
Hugh always dresses so nice I love this series.. it is about time there is one that isnt raunchy and dark and depressing. Kudos to the producer and cast.
They are all so wonderful people, aside from the Show/Movie. I saw it and loved it. We need them to continue. Our world needs Downton Abbey. Thank you Julian Fellowes.
I just finished watching from beginning to end nothing but Downton Abbey on Netflix. It was marvelous to Marathon ! Maggie Smith is a brilliant Actress and many of her quotes echo in my head but one that was quite exceptional was her leveling of her Grand-daughter Mary at the dinner Table after Mary had been particularly scathing to her sister. Violett says - “My dear, a lack of empathy is just as vulgar as an excess of tears”.
This show/Movie brings the world together, just like Doctor Who. And they are both from Britain. How strange and great is that. A period Drama anda sci/ fantasy show. Both are watched by families together. I am from Canada.
Thew blew the first movie at an hour and 40 minutes. They cheaped out. They do make epics at 3 plus hours.. Ratings were poor .. I have a solution for low ratings. Hire all remaining JAMES BOND actors to play a five minute scene as generals and admirals invited to some fancy party. Your viewership would double. to see all the BONDS on screen together for the first time.
I saw the film today. Loved it! It's completely predictable and will be wonderfully satisfying to all Downton Abby junkies who really need a fix. Bravo!
Hi ! I'm French, living in Paris... I deeply appreciate and enjoy each one of this wonderful gift, Downton Abbey !! 🌷 Nevertheless, some of actors are never in interview !? At least here the so nice and excellent Kevin Doyle...but why the other excellent Scottish David Robb (Dr Clarckson) or the smart refined Douglas Reith (Lord Merton) are never interviewed ?!! What a pity !... I think they really are missing !... Thanks a lot to include them more now, because I'm sure they have very interesting things to say to all of us !!!🌷 Astrid
This interviewer must never have seen 'Downton Abbey' before this event - she wasn't aware that Alistair Bruce has been their historical consultant throughout the series. Geez, get someone knowledgeable to interview. Or at least someone who's done some research.
Love Downton Abbey, then you will love C.A MacRae's Gemini Complex, The Cabal: After the final demise of the Cathars at Chateau Mount Montségur in the south of France in 1244, a heroic rescue by a Knights Templar took place. Six hundred and fifty-three years later a murder and spate of suspicious deaths of the clergy become linked in the south of France. Flo’s first day (10th November 1918) at Chandringham doesn’t work out quite how she imagined. A bright but humble farm girl finds herself thrust into the upper echelons of society. Rather than being trained in the everyday tasks of a maid, she’s told she needs to leave her old life behind and immerse herself in the life of the aristocracy, as Lady Mary Tavistock. Her world is turned upside down, Flo realises she’s not the person she’s always thought she was and to make matters worse she finds out her life is endangered. In order to make sense of who she really is and what her purpose in life is, she’s sent to Switzerland to meet others of her kind. the first book of a trilogy. It's going to be released later this year.
I thought the custom of servants turning their faces to the wall in a great house when someone from the grand family was passing related to when there had been a death in the family that they would not be looked upon by their inferiors whilst in the midst of their grief and mourning.
He is not a poor thing at all. Moseley is a special character in the show who has to struggle to keep his job. It is unfortunate how he gets treated by Carson but as head butler Carson has power over the downstairs staff. Some bosses can be downright nasty!
You would think they could've found a dirty sock to do the interview, or at least something that might have been up to the task. I felt sorry for the actors....
can someone suggest them to make a comic version of the script....something like casual and informal lifestyle with cracking witty jokes by the servants to the lords and pulling their legs and the crawlies saying and doing stuff that makes fool out of themselves...

as opposed to Michelle this time ! Why on earth did she put this shapeless male Tshirt on !

Her quote is actually "A lack of compassion, can be as vulgar as an excess of tears"
Her best quote though, is "What's a weekend ?"
lovely to see Mrs Patmore all dressed up
Saw the movie yesterday - loved it. Fan from Denmark

Hugh is hilarious!!!
Wish they would make a second full-length film!
The film did really well. I wouldn't be surprised if they do another one a few years down the line.

@Astrid Vitols, Hello! I can’t agree more. x
Would have been good if we could HEAR what they were saying especially the host. Doesn't anyone know how to use a microphone?
Imagine violet in America 😂 " why does everyday involve a fight with an American!?"
I like this moderator. She ask good and different questions. Love them all but, my favorite were Mrs Patmore & Cora. ❤
This interviewer was just along for the ride, she didn’t even try and do her job 😂

Love it!
Sound is horrible for this video.
Might be because some of the cast appears to be holding their microphones too low and far from their mouths.
Oh Mes Patmore “Sex Therapist” & Branson’s interjection of “Coronets”. Just marvelous interview from there...
"Courgettes"

Such a painful interview - I wish that lady had done some homework. How does she not about Alister Bruce?
The interviewer really didn't do any preparation for the interview. The most half assed questioning I've ever seen 😬

Why is Rob James Collier never in these things?
@Justin Stewart like what?
Probably not available
Michelle as Thomas! I suddenly remembered a fanfic I read where Thomas was Mary’s secret twin with their matching cheekbones, pale skin, etc. lol
No....just no
Lol. That would kinda be very interesting as another movie
they should make an episode or movie of he death of lady grantham
Hugh is a fucking dreamboat. WHERE'S EDITH!?!?!?!?! #TeamEdith

They were all good. I just had a softer spot for moseley. Poor thing😁

Is Hugh straight ? He has that gay man sense of humour which i love !
