Michelle Dockery has this beguiling quality about her that draws you in and this carries over to her portrayal of Lady Mary. Love all three of these actors but I could not imagine Downton without her.
W ES Your comment is such a lovely comment. I adore Michelle Dockery and Lady Mary is my favorite character on Downton! Beguiling is a perfect word for her!
I love her pants suit :)
Maggie Smith is my favorite.
Honestly, they are a brilliant ensemble of actors, love them all really but, for her humor Mrs Patmore is a fav, and Cora. What can be said about Dame Maggie Smith...a treasure she is for sure.
These actors all seem like delightful people!! Loved the film!
Michelle and Laura are very good friends!
I am so crushed that the Dowager will no longer be part of any sequels in the future. Dame Maggie Smith is a class of her own! Love all the Downton Abbey casts -- they were all fantastic!!
These actors seem like such delightful people.
I saw the movie a week ago, and loved it!!
Saw the Movie last night.IT WAS OUT OF THIS WORLD.Many congratulations to you all for making such a movie to remember
Absolutely loved the series and the movie, and can't wait for the second movie! I could see this series continuing on throughout the years, to when Mary, Edith and Tom are all old, and their children are the adults taking the helm.
I would also love to see some great composer write an entire Opera Series of Downton! Abbey!
Allen is so funny and sweet. ❤
Lady Edith { Laura Carmichael }looks incredible 😊
Lauren Guinan yes, lady hexham is proper fit
She always did look incredible in real life, of course, but they just managed to make her appear plain or even a bit homely on the show, through the use of hair style, makeup, lighting, camera angles, etc., don't you think?
Adore them all!!!♥️
THIS INTERVIEW HAS SPOILERS!!!
SCREEEEEE! "Mary has Caroline, now"!!!!! She had a baby girl!!! _dying_
We knew she had a little girl at least 6 months from that photo of her holding the baby girl.
Omg I saw the movie last week and I didn’t even realize she had a daughter named caroline? Lol wtf
Loved the film and am not damning it with faint praise to say it felt just like an episode of the series.
Hope there will be a follow up movie but with peace breaking out between the sisters, Tom finding romance and even the kitchen maid settling down, I wonder if some of the tension that was central to the success of the series has been lost.
For example, Carson can't continue to replace Barrow and had miraculously lost the medical condition that led to his retirement. Barrow has discovered a covert world that may give him happines. Even Molesey and Baxter are edging towards something.
So wherever is the grist for the mill?
You got your wish
Laura! You look so awesome!
I love how Laura described the show as Joyful Escapism.
And the questioner is right! It's beautiful to look at, well acted and well written.
All that said I think I've finally outgrown DA and will be putting it aside for a long while.
I've watched the entire series probably near a dozen times, and finally today I made it to S5 and really felt like Ive seen enough of it.
It's a show that demands a long break! I personally preferred the initial seasons and episodes where all the characters and situations are unevolved and yet to be changed. That's the part of DA I love the most.
It's haunting and comforting to watch and I know I'll be watching the series again the minute I start missing it.
❤❤❤
"Lord Fellows"...well said!
Agree with the hat 🎩 answer!!
💕
Do we get an European renaissance with more realistic actors without the typical standard and mostly fake beauty? Downtown Abbey has deep and complex characters. Love it
I Wanna hang out with these three!!!!
When they were talking about their dressing...I think every man never endingly wore cufflinks and button studs.i don't think i ever saw a shirtcuff buttoned
I wonder if the Movie will come out on DVD? We don’t have a cinema in our town :(
mishmash911 it usually comes out 6 months after the movie premieres.
Chris Hodges that’s great thanks :)
You can bet your life on it. Yippe!
@@grandmanonnie5 and will stream on Amazon Prime either earlier than that. I imagine by December. I also suspect PBS will air it early next year.
mishmash911 You can pre-order the film on iTunes . After seeing the movie, I knew I’d want to have access it so I can watch it over and over
Love
Downton Abbey, then you will love C.A MacRae's Gemini Complex, The Cabal: After

France in 1244, a heroic rescue by a Knights Templar took place. Six hundred
and fifty-three years later a murder and spate of suspicious deaths of the
clergy become linked in the south of France. Flo’s first day (10th November
1918) at Chandringham doesn’t work out quite how she imagined. A bright but

aristocracy, as Lady Mary Tavistock. Her world is turned upside down, Flo
realises she’s not the person she’s always thought she was and to make matters
worse she finds out her life is endangered. In order to make sense of who she
really is and what her purpose in life is, she’s sent to Switzerland to meet
others of her kind. the first book of a trilogy. It's going to be released
later this year.

That's funny Allen leech is common about what he misses and he said talking about the weather how he lives in la nobody talks about the weather because it's sunny all the time. I was born and raised in LA and then I moved to New York and I found it strange how people always talked about the weather, but you're being 15 years in New York now I get it why we will talk about the weather
it's actually really maddening that edith is supposed to be the "unattractive" one. i hate the hollywood standard
Edith is gorgeous and Tom....I fell hard, when he was standing in the bedroom, sans shirt🥵Oh baby.I hated Mary through 3 watching...after the 4 time,I understood why she was such a “B”....
