TOOL has been around for 30 plus years. Their catalog is amazing and the fans are amazing! The last album, Fear Innoculum is a masterpiece, but all of their work is masterful. Opiate, Undertow, Sober, Bottom, Stinkfist, Push it, Third Eye, Lateralus, Schism, Vicarious, The Grudge, Jambi, Wings for Marie/10,000 days, THT, the list of greats is long! Go on the Tool journey, it will be worth it!

I think what a lot of people would be blown away by is how this band comes up with their music.
Often times the song writer will write a song and have a general idea of what the music needs to sound like to back it up. Or maybe a small riff to get them going.
This band creates the music without Maynard James Keenan, and sends it to him, he then listens to it over and over and writes based off what it inspires in him. If it doesn't inspire or he doesn't like it he sends it back and tells them to do better.
