It's a distraction technique. I found a paper bag worked for me. Just breath in and out of it a few times. You're recycling air which brings down the oxygen content, thereby avoiding hyperventilation.
Hi Paul! I am beyond grateful when someone shares something that helps them with the community. The best possible outcome of the community is people working to help each other increase their quality of life. Thank you for being a part of that ❤️💪 -Rob
Yay! Come back and let me know if it helped you out during a period of anxiety. If you can’t find them at the grocery store, I know they sell them on places like Amazon. 😅😊❤️ -Rob
Oh you are such an incredible blessing, Rob! You keep amazing me by your exceptional selfless attitude of wanting to share as much as possible anything ANYTHING helpful that you discover to help alleviate the struggle of innumerable fellow human beings! Deepest appreciation, thanks and a flood of blessings from Brussels, Belgium! Be safe, be well (as well as you can be) and may you be filled & surrounded by Light & Grace at all times.
Yay! Thank you so much for sharing it with others! I hope it helps as many people as possible. It’s not an instant fix, but all the little things that we do add up to reducing the severity or duration of these nasty feelings. Hope you enjoyed your weekend! - Rob
I was a 100% expecting this to turn into a comedy sketch with an ending like "for 9.99, fix your anxiety forever!", such a funny editing! will try the trick, though
I'm not surprised with this technique as I've heard it through my mental health/pysch ed courses which I've taken through a mental health org. Other techniques include holding an ice cube and box breathing
i definitely use flaming hot cheetos or authentic mexican verde sauce and the initial shock from the spice as a "helpful bandaid" sometimes, warheads makes sense to use to.
For emergencies - Dr. Bronners Peppermint soap and a cold shower will shock your socks off. It'll be no time for anything but snap out of it and night night lol
I didn't realize it was a thing. I have been popping Trident Sour Patch Kids gum and, even though it's not as potent as WarHeads, it does help with my general agitation. And, now that the getting sober honeymoon is fading, there's a lot of agitation. Like, a lot. 😅 Thanks, as always!
Strangely, large green olives work for me, though they are not very portable as the oil can seep out of the container. For that a small plastic zipp bag protects well enough.
Were you paid by the company? Why can't you just say "sour candy"? Don't mix psychological advice and economic interests. I love your channel and I expected better of you. Apologies if you were not compensated for this (but perhaps you should have made this clear in the video or the description somewhere).
Lolol... I will NEVER sell out to a sponsor on this channel. I hate commercials with a passion. This is just a fun technique with some nostalgic candy I used to eat as a child. HAVE YOU EVER EVEN TRIED A WARHEAD? It's literally the most sour candy I've ever eaten, which is why I chose them. And I accept your apology lolol =) Be well, -Rob

Horehound candy is good too, it's also a natural vaso dialator. This too shall pass.
