I like the single arm ohp that you demonstrated here even more than the standing ohp. Barbell ohp is, undoubtedly, a fabulous movement. But, there's something about the single arm ohp that really blows my shoulders up. Cheers!
I thought it was someone else narrating the video at first, because I expect a beastly built man like you to have a deep coarse voice. My mind can't process how you don't sound like your look.
The add audio function on the editor i use does something to the voice. Have a look at videos where I am talking directly to the camera and its different again
Laird,i have started doing overhead press like you do,feels good definitely feel tricep more and saves the neck possibly straining as you dont move it forward, gonna progress with this way
Your strenght is very impressive. In your opinion is benching and OHP 3x week on the same days reasonable or would you rather alternate them if the goal is mass mainly?
Bro what. We're the same height and I've always had your physique in mind because it's my goal, even though I didn't know you. Now that I know it looks like I found my dream body lol. I have 2 questions. 1 - what is your bf%? 2- What muscle groups should I focus on to have a physique like yours?
Yeah powerlifting has an extremely late peak. Some go until late 40s. Mark Felix competing at worlds strongest man competition was 50+ . Heaps start late and still do very well.
in upper lower program it is good to use Swiss bar Bench press or Dumbbell same for ohp? or do 2 upper days in a week same standard Barbell Bench press and Barbell OHP for front squats they can be dane with ssb bar? if someone doesn't want barbell bruises on their bones
Any kind of overhead pressing..you are so right, people get to obsessed with “exercises” those were great picks. Love the front squat also.
Thanks mate. If you stick to thoes you will make far more progress then the majority of the population
Good technique in front squats will also humble the strongest of people. You're a weapon.
Thank you very much mate and yes they are a very humbling exercise

I know exactly what you mean mate and alternating the 2 as long as it's some form of overhead goes well
Single arm overhead press is awesome!! Nice video Laird
Thank you very much mate. Its a great exercise.

Moin Laird, nice summary of your best exercises for more strength.
Greeting Friedhelm
Thanks mate, hope it helps
These are the videos I'm trying to find when I come to youtube

Front Squat for me is the king. 💯

Looking like a monster while lifting that stone 💪
The one arm press is a favourite of mine. Hope you have been well mate
Awesome. You are quite a stud.
That is what my wife says too
Your back is insane.
Pullups, OHP and bench press grew it.
Front squats and Zercher squats all the way! I stopped doing back squats years ago.
Yeah front squats are great
The Boss!!!!
Thanks mate, seem this one
@@LairdRoss glad you did!! Love the different variations of videos too from the garage to the yard to the comp!! The Boss is BACk
Yeah and just giving info as to why I use these 4 exercises the most
@@LairdRoss keep it up cause now your comments are getting better
Amazing man!That back😮subbed!
Thanks mate appreciated
Great video Laird! Training with a purpose doesn't seem like work at all! Cheers mate! 👍🤠
It does make a big difference especially with competition on the horizon
Can you make a video how you get those big freakin traps please
Yeah mate I can do
1st like, view, & comment From T.W.L.G.🤓🤓🤓
Thank you mate appreciated
Can i do these 4 every other day? Full body .. but switch variations
I wood probably do them twice a week
Your strenght is very impressive. In your opinion is benching and OHP 3x week on the same days reasonable or would you rather alternate them if the goal is mass mainly?
I would drop it down to 2 x weekly. One heavy day and one moderate volume day
Magnificent !!!
I wanna be strong like u
Which bench press variation do you prefer for overall performance?
Competition grip, index finger on the rings of a comp power bar.
Amazing, Laird and Happy New Year, buddy 🎆🎆🎉🎉🎊🎊👍👍👌👌✌️✌️💪💪🏋️♂️🏋️♂️🦍🦍
Hello, do you also recommend 10rep sets for beginners and intermediates, also what supplemental/accessories do you recommend? thanks!
Yeah I do, as for accessories I try and keep them compound. I don't do a lot of accessories - just the same movements with dbs
where are you from mate?
I am Australian mate

I think I am about 12 - 14%.
Training splits are many mate. That isn't an easy question
🎖👍
You’re welcome, buddy, could you do with EZ Bar Curls 👍👍👌👌✌️✌️💪💪🏋️♂️🏋️♂️🦍🦍 0:21
Doesn't not doing full-ROM OHP promote injury?
Not at all mate
How old are You mate?
Hey mate I am 30
@@LairdRoss oh, so You are clos to Your prime i suppose?
In powerlifting / strength sports you don't peak till early 40s. I have many great years of gains ahead
@@LairdRoss thats nice to hear, sice i am nee 40 :D
Yeah powerlifting has an extremely late peak. Some go until late 40s. Mark Felix competing at worlds strongest man competition was 50+ . Heaps start late and still do very well.
🔥🔥🔥🔥
What are your thoughts on reps till failure each set for muscle endurance and strength building? Is it efficient?
One set to failure is more than enough mate
in upper lower program it is good to use Swiss bar Bench press or Dumbbell
same for ohp?
or do 2 upper days in a week same standard Barbell Bench press and Barbell OHP
for front squats they can be dane with ssb bar? if someone doesn't want barbell bruises on their bones
The collarbones will get use to it mate. Its up to you - can use dbs or different bar - this is just what I prefer
No hinging and no rows is surprising. Really need an RDL and some horizontal rowing I'd think!
Each to their own mate but you also can hit a point where it is just junk volume
Hail lobster. You're a beast
The lobster gaffe 😂
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks mate
only just stumbled across this channel and the first thing i noticed was that the voice doesnt match the face
Yeah blame the add audio function. I think my phone is also on the way out - video in voice on other videos is fine. Added voice, not so
Hi ! how old are you !? 👍🤓
32
@@LairdRoss 👍👍👍⭐ thanks
For the algorithm
