True, raw strength comes as much from building muscle as it does from years and years of strengthening your tendons and ligaments. The term "old man strength " has little to do with muscle its years of building strong connective tissue.
I just found this channel and subscribed, I want to have that raw strength but I’m struggling with my squats 😂 I’m 6’2 / 188cm and I feel like my legs are a bit long for the squats. Yesterday I injured my back trying to squat 130kgs. But not giving up, hope to get your strength some day. Amazing
Haha, I saw in ure 100kg x 15 reps o'head press videos that all your replies finished off with 'mate', and I bet to myself that you were 'Straylian. Now hearing this videos commentary it would seem you are Australian, mate! Much love from Adelaide, looking at your thumbnails you are a genuine beast and I look forward to your videos!
I rolled my ankle right before my sophomore year in highschool. So I was taking it light on my lower body and really just helping it recover with light lifts. So I benched ALOT and because of that my max went from 195 to 235 in 3 months. I've always been told I was strong and in wreseling i cpuld easily manhandle my opponents but after that max out I was seen as a very strong individual by my peers
That is good mate. Yeah I was always seen as strong. My best bench press when I finished high school at world's was 165kg / 363lb in the 82.5kg / 181lb class.
@@LairdRoss thanks for all the answers, and knowing you lift for more than 10 years plus you aren't that lean i would think you are natty ? btw hope to get a nice lumberjack physique like you

THE TRUTH ! period
What do you do for calves?
Is it genetics???
or is it the heavy carries...
You would need to add them in
You are smart
Consistency is key; there is no magic potion.
Yeah 100%, just takes years and years of training.

what are your thoughts on machine or cable ? they are useless ?
`
They have their place, latpull down and seated machine rows l liked along with the belt squat. Just try your best to stick to compound
