Yeah, in spite of all Ahsoka went through at such a young age, she still remained one of the most kind and compassionate people anyone would've ever met, let's hope she still remains that way on the Mandalorian
I feel like oys because shes one of the few relatable characters throughout all of tv/film star wars. Throughout the clone wars we see her grow and make mistakes, while all the other female protagonists show comparatively little growth. (I.e. Padme becomes more self assured, Leia becomes more open and again more sure of herself, and Rey doesn't really grow as a character at all).
Ashoka is the best female characters in Star Wars but comparing her to rey isn't fair yet. Ashoka was on a 7 season tv 📺 show and she was on another animated series and a 2007 animated movie 🎥. Rey was only in 3 movies. Now let's say Rey gets a animated series after the events of The LAST Jedi and I want luke to get a animated series about Luke jedi school and how he became the luke we see in the last jedi. But a more fair comparison would be Ashoka and the last air bender.
Ahsoka is, and always will be, a steady beacon of hope for Star Wars. She adds so much depth to Anakin while still being a top tier character herself. The season 5 finale of Clone Wars was a huge step that further developed her character into one of the few to call out the Jedi for what they really were. Please never change Ahsoka Tano.
Ahsoka’s a great character because she not only had to earn her place among the Jedi and the 501st as a character developing in a larger story, she similarly had to earn respect from the fans. Thanks to outstanding writing and character development, she accomplished both. Ahsoka has earned her seat at the table! 👍
Ahsoka is an A tier character. Along with Darth Maul and Captain Rex. I’d sad she’s not S tier but she’s very very good. Obi-Wan in my opinion is S tier. I love Ahsoka.
I wish Dave filoni helped work on the sequels and had a plan because not only would the movies eouof be better but Rey would be a much better character. Especially seeing how good he was with ahsoka. Who btw is my favorite female character in all of Star Wars. I loved her progression and relationship with Anakin.
That's fucking travesty that they didn't get Filoni to oversee sequels, they even didn't want George to do that, they thought they know better than creator
Nah Disney would have put him in a strict box like how he was in charge of rebels but Disney limited him to being strictly a kids show and thus we got an inferior show
@@goodmind4940 Lucas hated Ahsoka and wanted to kill the character off. He wanted to write the sequels about the "Whils" which were microscopic intelligent beings that manipulated the universe. He created midochlorians. I have little faith that George would have done any better than what we got, I actually believe it would have been worse. Filoni was great, but he still hadn't hit it out of the park before. Now with the Mandolarian being so popular they might actually take the risk on him...but he wasn't the box office titan that Abrams was...
@@goodmind4940 I'm just saying he is a good investment if your primary concern is to make a profitable movie. Star Trek, Mission Impossible all make good money before he ever took on Star Wars. He has several middle of the road movies that had solid returns for their costs, like Cloverfield, Morning Glory, Super 8., even his less popular work was profitable. Thats just movies, he's been EP on tons of highly popular shows, Lost, Westworld, Alias, etc... I'm not saying he makes good products, I'm saying he is a bankable commodity...a safe investment by the studio.
Because of her growth and development throughout the clone wars as well as Rebels she became my all time favorite character. I'm looking forward to what's next for Ahsoka.
Ahsoka is one of the only down to earth characters that feels like an actual normal person. She has her strengths, she has her flaws, and she’s extremely relatable. She should be in everyone’s top 10 characters at least
Since obi wan she’s my absolute fave. A great story that equals and mirrors her masters! Great writing, something the rest of the Star Wars universe sadly lacks
Looking back on stuff like the Clone wars movie, it starts off Ahsoka at a pretty great spot, and she essentially embodies many traits of a child, then as the war progresses, Ahsoka matured and becomes one of the most loved characters in Star Wars. One of the best written Star Wars characters in my opinion, with an incredible Theme to go along with her.
Ashoka was a completely unnecessary character, that became important through great writing. My first watch of clone wars I kept thinking she was going to die and questioned why she wasn’t mentioned in revenge of the sith that’s how important she became.
I wasn't as harsh, but her leaving the order rather than dying was definitely a surprise while also making complete sense. Not only was she alive, but also holding her own. There was no doubt or worry for her.
@@GregScholfield yeah sorry about that, I like to start off like that to be more dramatic. but Ashoka has grown to be one of the best characters in star wars
honestly I think a lot of people had resistance to her character being introduced bc she wasnt in RoTS, but her path nd eventually leaving the jedi order gave a lot more context and depth to anakins own fallout with the order, some of which felt lacking in the prequels(if only due to lack of time to be able to dedicate to it)
Rey is a bland Mary Sue Finn is wasted potential Poe is completely useless Kylo Ren is held back by crappy writing BB-8 Literally just a worse R2 Snoke “Your theory’s suck” Holdo my least favorite Star Wars character
A Mary Sue isn't necessarily perfect, the biggest flaw of a Mary Sue is that they don't earn their accomplishments. They are typically loved by all even when they fuck up and should be punished for their mistakes. It is really hard to even say Rey is a Mary Sue, because she's just perfect and wins forever. The fact she didn't really earn her power or victories puts her in the Mary Sue column, but there are better examples of Mary Sues than Rey really. Rey is more of a Samantha Carter, like a god walking amongst mortals (though clearly Sam Carter ends up being better because she's on a better series and has better writing around her, just saying there are parallels). Mary Sue has been taken up as a colloquial for "A perfect character", but that makes it intersect with lots of characters that don't really make sense for it. Originally a Mary Sue was supposed to be someone who gets away with messing up, gets little consequences for their actions, and yeah is unrealistically talented to a degree that they didn't earn it. Another good example if Wesley Crusher from TNG. He is a prodigy, but messes up, yet people still think he's the bees knees (other than Picard, but even he warms to him eventually, and Picard's reasoning for having issues with Wesley are deeper seeded issues that Picard himself has to overcome and have little to do with Wesley personally). Harry Potter definitely starts off as a Mary Sue, but moves out of that pretty quickly really by the third book. Rey just barrels through plot more like a force of nature than an actual character. She plays out like a PC in a video game more than anything. She has virtually no character development and no real personality of her own...and honestly I don't think it is the actress's fault. This is a common star wars problem. The reason Han Solo and Leia are interesting has nothing to do with their writing and everything to do with their actor's being legends. Rey's actress's biggest crime is that she isn't a legend, she's just decent...and when you are given a plot that pretty much reads like a lower end AAA video game then what the hell is a "just decent" actress supposed to do... Ahsoka is definitely not a Mary Sue. If you only watched Rebels I could see how one might think that...but watching Clone Wars show's that not only does she mess up a lot, but she faces very real consequences for those actions. She definitely has her detractors in the serious, and she makes enemies that continue to be annoyed by her existence through the entire story. Also...she really only have one major victory in the whole story, and that doesn't happen until she captures Maul. Sure she helps and does stuff the whole way through, but part of the entire point of the Clone Wars is that ultimately the Jedi didn't make things any better, in fact Ahsoka pretty much tells Obi-Wan that to his face...that they are part of the problem not part of the solution. The only times they really made a difference was against other Force users.
Ahsoka Tano is someone who you can and have grow up with. I like her from day one. And I was so happy to see her in Star Wars Rebels and alive at the end of it too. I hope we to see more her soon.
VENTRESS, Dooku's Padawan, would be appropriate, considering hers story is the polarized flip side of Ashoka's storyline, it would be interesting to see how people respond
Im a teen now, and Clone Wars was my childhood show back in the day. I didn't really appreciate her arc then, but now, it is easy to look to her for inspiration, even though I have very little in common with her. That's why shes special, everyone can relate to her, even if they don't have much in common with her.
I didn’t grow up with clone wars despite being the target age, my interest in Star Wars was nowhere near the level it is at now, and oh how I missed out. Watching clone wars start to finish back in 2013 was by far one of the best decisions I have ever made and I owe all of that to Ahsoka. She wasn’t created to appeal to blah blah demographic or push xyz agenda. She was just a character and a part of the world we were getting a glimpse of, a character who ends up being a part of some truly fascinating and amazing stories. From Lightsaber lost in season 1 up to season 5 I was hooked on the character and hooked on the show. I was 19 when I first saw the season 5 finale and I have never balled so much. Watching her walk down the steps felt like a part of my soul had been torn out of me and I can feel myself willing her to turn around and go back, and even now almost 7 years later that episode still gets me wishing that Windu will keep his dumb mouth shut so that she might actually stay.
I‘m male but I realize now I grew with Ashoka as more as watched the show as a child I understood more. Then I knew with 9 what a vote of no confidence is.
She wasn't forgettable... in the Clone Wars movie, she reminded me of the stereotypical adolescents - Assuming they know what's best for themselves, being skilled in achieving their goals, while attempting to show their elders how wrong the elders are. I remember two lines of dialogue from her in the movie I still smile at, while she was making an attempt at diplomacy: Ashoka: I'm a Jedi Knight! [Anikan Turns and Glares at Ashoka] Ashoka: I will be! That interaction sums her up quite well, at that time. Brash, Reckless, Overconfident, and Impatient... traits attributed to adolescents who haven't learned their limitations. She's a self-insert character for most tweens and teens... they can easily picture themselves as being her after they have completed their youngling training and are taking their first steps into the Galaxy as a Padawan. Not a perfect character, for the narrative, but an easily relatable character.
I love Ahsoka because she stopped thinking in good and bad. She made her own way and worked out what she wants to stand for without comprimising herself and her personal grounds, while not stopping thinking in nuances. When she stands her ground for something you know her heart is in it
"Please Rex next" Snips was the best bc u grew with her and watched her grow and develop her abilities. She was the most annoying character at first then she grew on me then she became in my top 10 and a beloved character👍👏👏👏
I mean ahsoka was created to bring in more young girls to the star wars fandom and for merchandising, but she developed as her own character that everybody regardless of age or gender grew to love and respect
@@hellothere2464 that was a secondary reasoning for her character. The main reason was because Shaak Ti was one of George Lucas' favorite characters despite her very low screen time and abrupt death. Since Shaak Ti was already developed, Filoni based Ahsoka's species on her as a nod to Lucas.
The Mad Titan “Now, this is going to be the first video in what I hope will be a long-running and fun series, where we’ll score star wars characters, and eventually, compile a nice long list of some of the best and worst in the francise. Not to mention along the way to look at and discuss why some are fan favorites.”
Great topic! Grade "A" character for sure! Top ten from all the Jedi imho. Great character development! Also you could tell that Anakin loved her, by virtue of getting to see the interaction between them throughout TCW. It crushed him when she left the order. When Luke sensed that there was still some good in his father, I like to think that Ahsoka played a major part in him still having some good left. And him finding out about his son Luke just added to that eventual pull back to the light side and in the restoration of balance to the force.
I'm one of the few that really liked Ahsoka since her first appearance, mostly because her and anakins banter reminded me of me and my sister, I just found her attitude charming in a way, alot of characters that give lots of attitude tend to come off as annoying, but ahsoka didnt to me, and i was young at the time and so i sort of group up with her if that makes sense, with how her growth from clone wars to now has been very inspiring for me, Anakin, Luke and Ahsoka are the best characters imo because they each represent growing up, and have the most real life, relatable personal growth, Luke growing into a man facing hardships, anakin fighting his emotional distress and anger, and Ahsoka being a character that learns to make her own decisions and follow her own path, all 3 teach the most important life lessons imo
Thanks. Ahsoka is one of my favourite characters in The Clone Wars TV series. She starts of as reckless and impulsive but grows into a more mature and wiser character while still maintaining her moral compass. Please do one on Eli Vanto, Thrawn's sidekick.
I had no doubts about her greatness as a character she demonstrates a less extreme version of anakin, a person with good intentions who tried to act upon it
I had the same knee jerk reaction as many: Anakin had a padawan that was NEVER mentioned in all these years before now, and she called her master '"Skyguy"? There was no way I was going to accept this crap aimed at kids. Then came Seasons 2 and on, where she slowly became an interesting character, and of course I was now interested in what her 'final' fate would be, because 'Order 66' was in the future.
@@lukescrew1981 everyone in real life, or fictional characters? Even the latter, no. Because some people write character to be static, e.g. Toph, from the Avatar: The Last Airbender, though I argue that she does grow. Character development can go in either way: character growth, or character decline. In the cast of Ani, it was both, then decline into Darth Vader, then growth when he met and interacted with Luke. Or do you mean everyone has character development in this show? Perhaps yes. I do see them changing even if very little.
Ahsoka's arc is a big part of the reason that I actually for the most part appreciated Luke's in the sequels. Before I get flamed, let me explain. Ahsoka represents ( much like Luke in the original trilogy) the transition from adolescence to responsible adulthood. Luke in the sequels, at least for me, represents the transition from adulthood to the exhaustion, cynicism, and self-doubting despondency of middle age, and how difficult, no matter what power one has by gift, learning, or birth, it is to hold on to Idealism and hope. I know this, because that is the period of life that I am in now. Sometimes it's too much just to get out of bed, let alone try to save the galaxy. The fact that he does eventually speaks volumes about the human condition, as well as the ability of some to overcome. Ahsoka has a similar life-changing moment when she walks away. I know this has turned into an essay, but thank you if you have read to the end. Just my opinion.
I guess this is more about Ahsoka's role than her character... I think Yoda basically knew what was going on between Anakin and Padme, but he also knew that confronting him about it was more likely to result in him leaving the order than leaving Padme, and he thought they needed him. So instead he gave him a young female Padawan so that he had someone else to care for. He basically said that the point of it was to train Anakin in letting go. Palpatine had to know that she would be a problem, so he had to get rid of her before RotS. He orchestrated her framing and would have found another way to eliminate her if she hadn't left. Sadly Yoda's plan backfired and contributed to Anakan's fall instead of helping prevent it.
I was 6 when the clone wars started coming out, so I got the privilege to grow up and see an amazing character in Ashoka grow up just a little bit ahead of me. She has been my favorite starwars character for as long as I remember and it still hurts me to watch her walk away from the order. Sure there are some plot holes that are caused by when she was introduced but nothing will ever top how incredibly she was developed. She is the best character since Obi-wan and in my opinion no one can top her.
Classic Luke Skywalker would be a nice video because it would really refresh him after what the majority of us hated about the last Jedi. So I’d love to focus on his character between 4-6 his training with Yoda and becoming humble, how he was literally beat into shape physically and mentally by Vader in ESB and his determination to protect his father.
Back in 2008 when the Star Wars Expanded Universe (EU) still existed and Star Wars: The Clone Wars film/TV show debuted if you told me that this character who was the Padawan of Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader that was never mentioned or seen before, during and after Revenge of the Sith or any other media for that matter would grow to become a popular character and actually make more appearances in other works like her own titular novel, Rebels and The Mandalorian as a survivor of Order 66/Alliance to Restore the Republic-Rebel Alliance agent as well as having fought not just her former master on Malachor V but Emperor Sheev Palpatine/Darth Sidious in the World Between Worlds and won everyone else in the Star Wars fanbase wouldn't believe it but here we are now.
Ahsoka tano is the best star wars character period ! and ive been a fan of starwars since 1979 when i turned 5 and i’m male i always liked her but fell in love with her in season 2 love her ever since.... before that yoda was my favorite yoda is my second favorite now since hes dead... ahsoka is still alive even after episode 9.... and yes its canon
PLEASE can she get her own show!!! She’s one of the greatest characters ever created. PERIOD. She’s amazing with an amazing story and everyone loves her. She needs her own show and her own live-action movie. Everyone would see it.
I took the dive into watching The Clone Wars around January 2020, when I heard they were adding a new season exclusive to Disney +, I figured it was about time I got it done. I was 17, btw idk if it's relevant but still, and I heard so much about it, so I expected myself to like it and I prepared myself to bear through the first mediocre bits until it got to the good stuff like id heard. So when I first saw Ahsoka, I was really confused why she was so massively beloved, but knew she would probably grow as the show did. And she did, a lot. By the end of Season 5, she had cemented herself as one of my favorites of Star Wars, and of course found myself crying when she left the Jedi Order....even though I had been spoiled about that happening (thanks RUclips Algorithm), but when I finished Season 7, and was done with the Siege of Mandalore Arc, she firmly not only cemented herself as my all time favorite star wars character, but as my favorite fictional character of all time, tied with Iroh from ATLA, and she only got better in Rebels. She still remains my favorite character of all time. She grows so much, she goes through hell but never loses herself to the Dark Side, she sticks by what she knows is right.... even if she doesn't know if she knows what's right. Seeing her fail and learn and grow to become this balanced person, who despite still struggling with the grief and pain of her life, still continues to do what's right, it helped during that April of 2020, which was one of the hardest times of my life, since depression was kicking my ass extra hard, the entire month, but as stupid as it sounds, Ahsoka inspired me to fight through it and come out stronger in the end. She is brave and kind and strong and caring. She's a badass but she's also one of the most likeable and nice characters in the franchise. If I ever adopt kids, and one of them is a daughter, I'm definitely going to show them Clone Wars because Ahsoka Tano is exactly the female role model the future generation needs. I know this is ridiculously long, but Ahsoka is important to me and I need to get it out there
I commented on the poll (where I gave her a B, would have been an A had she died in the fight with Anakin which - imho - was a perfect place to give her a heroic send off), but will repeat it here as well. She is a very good character, but she starts to dwindle in 'quality' the more they keep her around and alive. It is an unfortunate consequence of making great prequel characters that you have to say goodbye to them at some point or you simply cannot rationalize why they aren't more dominant in the original timeline. Ahsoka surviving for so long and having such an impact on the events surrounding the rise of the Empire and specifically Anakin/Vader starts to become a problem.
lostcause78 characters continuing to be used does not mean they diminish in quality of their story is still meaningful and good. Yes it would have been an awesome thing if she died with Vader, but we don’t know what else they’re going to do with her after. They could still do some amazing things with her that will completely change the way we see her. Also there are other characters introduced outside of the OT that were still around and great during that time. I think she can only get more awesome.
I agree completely. She loses points for there not being a good reason for her absence. Plus some missed opportunities to give her some more depth, despite all her great development.
Haven’t read all the comments but I’d say have a poll on Wedge. He was a very minor character in the movies, but as someone whose favourite part of the OT films as a 6/7 year old upwards was the dogfight scenes I loved Wedge. He was a fighter pilot to the core - who I wanted to be if I had been in Star Wars. The EU expanded on that a lot with the X-Wing books - a series I still believe would be a no brainer to adapt for Disney+ (one book per season). That’s all I’ve got for you this time...
Ahsoka is one of my favorite characters because of her great hero's journey, her beauty, and her pure representation of the ideals of the Grey Jedi. Please make your next video discussing another of my favorite Star Wars characters Mara Jade Skywalker.
Ashoka's involvement in the story actually lends more to Anakin's mental state in RoTS in a way that the movies didn't show us. If anything, her existence makes his characterization in that much movie better...
At 10 minutes someone comments they don’t like that Ashoka didn’t try to rebuild the Jedi order. However, a big part of her character development was her ability to say, “I am not a Jedi” and build a place for herself where she can still help the rebellion and the people struggling under the Empire. Clone Wars is her origin but not her only appearance. She makes appearances in several other series which brings my heart joy but her book which takes place a year after Clone Wars shows what she did post Clone Wars and continues that development of refusing the Jedi way but continuing her mission to protect the innocent.
She is top top top character, alongside Anakin, Luke, Palpatine, Kenobi, Maul, and if we count duos then R2 and C3PO as well, I cant imagine the first 6 episodes without them.
I agree. Star Wars is primarily build on the moving pictures medium. The books, the comics and all the rest is secondary. Ahsoka's character was carefully built up over years, and it was the years where it was the only thing holding the torch for the franchise in its proper medium. All those years where it was trendy to hate the prequels, and she has come out the other side as the most complete character in the whole franchise hands down. Well done Dave Filoni and team is all I can say.
Just finished finished clone wars from start to finish. What an awesome character. Massive fan on ashoka. Didn't at the beginning. But never thought about that as the series progressed. I had to watch the last five minutes three times as it was so chilling. This whole series had so much depth, emotional integrity and heart. I watched this on a whim and never have I been so captivated by a show. I am a massive star wars fan. Never bothered with mini shows and I haven't been impressed by the new movies, apart from rogue one. But the clone wars filled my live of star wars to how I was when I was a kid. I finished watching it about 2 hrs ago
I absolutely love Ahsoka!!! Watching her relationship develop and deepen with Anakin in the Clone War Series made their reunion in Rebels so damn heartbreaking.
Ashoka earned our love and fandom. She's beloved because we've watched her grow and she doesn't just feel like some super powered avatar that we are just supposed to like
To quote Ashley Eckstein “Ahsoka is so great because Dave got rid of her gender and race. Anybody can be Ahsoka” and this is why Ahsoka is a good character. Because it isn’t about the fact that she is some super important character. She grew into that. She EARNED that. And she IS that. Ahsoka is the best Star Wars character in my opinion. Not only that but because I grew up with her and admired her qualities I might be biased. However Rey has no qualities other than “I have to be good” that’s not good writing. That’s cliche. That’s BORING.
The way I see it they better not kill off Ahsoka. She's Lucas' last character, his last Jedi basically. We need her to rebuild the order since Luke failed. His destiny should fall to her now
That's not going to happen. She originated in a cartoon. They wouldn't put her in a movie because The Clone Wars isn't very popular. Plus, she is no where close to being as good as good or powerful as Luke Skywalker.
@@cornonjacob18 I wont say it wont happen. They dont typically mix things like that sure but thats not a law or anything. Plus the Clone Wars is extremely popular if you go past just the casual viewers. And we have no idea how powerful Luke was. He should have had the same potential as the Chosen One but he either didnt achieve it or we never saw it. All we have left is Ahsoka. And as strong as Luke or not, she's the most experienced jedi left (that we know of).
@@Jeroogalo That is all true but most people's favorite jedi is Luke Skywalker. He is kind, agile, and strong. Ahsoka is a great character too but they would need a live-action actor for that and I just dont like the thought of one of the main characters if not the main character of the skywalker saga failed and is less powerful than a padawan character who even quit being a jedi. Luke is my favorite jedi and I wouldn't want that to happen. Plus, Anakin is the chosen one and always will be. That is the prophecy. Vader brought balance and peace back to the force. Not Anakin but Vader is my favorite character in all of Star Wars.
@@cornonjacob18 Luke was my favorite Jedi too but in canon Luke isn't Luke anymore. We need a new Luke. Plus Ahsoka didn't really quit the Jedi, more like the Jedi quit her. And still she fulfilled all the requirements to become a Jedi Knight. She's fully trained and capable, trained by the chosen one no less. I think she'll make a good candidate
Ahsoka is a great character, and a great choice for the beginning of your new series. I'm really struck by your description of her as the Luke for the generation that grew up with the Clone Wars show. Like you said, there does seem to be a small group of primary protagonists in Star Wars, kind of like the captains in Star Trek - Luke, Obi Wan, Ahsoka, and Rey - each the viewpoint character for a different generation. That's a really cool insight. But since Star Wars is supposed to be a single story the primary protagonists get to meet and be influenced by each other, and by the villains. When I first saw Ahsoka in the Clone Wars movie I knew her destiny was to be killed by Anakin. She represented the generation of young Jedi who never got to grow up and fulfill their potential because they were cut down by Order 66. But over the course of the series she became much more than that. With the heightened dangers and accelerated development that came from fighting a war, Ahsoka really did grow into a great character in her own right, to the point where I was glad she left the Jedi and apparently survived into the Rebels era. She had become far more than a symbol or a metaphor that existed to underline Anakin's descent into the Dark Side. We all cared for her now. That said I really wasn't surprised that Ahsoka appeared to die in battle with Darth Vader in Rebels. It was an epic and appropriate way to say goodbye to such an important character. She finally met her destiny, but instead of being caught by a surprise betrayal she fought her mentor in an awesome duel with full awareness of what he'd become and why he needed to be put down. That's the way a Jedi should go out. Then they brought her back with time travel. Ah well. It undercuts that episode of Rebels, but what the heck. At least we get to see new stories with her, and if her ultimate end is ambiguous that certainly will increase the tension. There's a chance she might somehow survive now, so we won't want to see her die. Not after all this. She's got to meet Luke at least once.
Asohka is my fave character as she is the best written character in all of Star Wars by far and has a great arc even finishing when she left the order, her force wielding rebel persona in rebels was also very good
I can proudly say I loved ahsoka first time saw her and I didn't find her annoying at all in the movie or any of the clone wars I thought it was interesting although I thought it would've made more sense for her to be kenobis new apprentice
Me too!! Its funny that both Anakin and Luke were way more annoying whiny punk-asses and no one had a problem with them. Ahsoka is absolutely my favorite Star Wars character!
Ashoka is my favourite character, I was about 8 when TCW ended and 12ish when she made an appearance in rebels, maybe it’s because I was the original target demographic for her character but she was always my favourite, in retrospect I think I appreciate her character even more she changed so much in just a few years and in general that story was executed exceptionally and it made her feel like a genuine, real person with a distinct personality. But even before I could appreciate that she was my favourite character I cried when she left the order and when I thought she died in the duel with Vader, part of me thinks it would’ve been more impactful to leave her dead but I’m also really glad they didn’t. I maybe like her a little less in the early seasons now because of obvious reasons but in general she is 100% my favourite character and I don’t think that will change. Overall definitely an A+ character on sheer development alone.
I really do love her character. And she’s probably my favorite of the franchise. I’m finding that the case more and more as I’m going back through the clone wars series. And I think the reason why is because we get to see her story, with actual highs and lows, actual stakes, she wasn’t in the movies so who knows when she could have been killed off, etc. but seriously I think she’s fantastic as a character as far as written, abilities, fight style, etc.
When I first saw the clone wars movie, I didn’t know what to think about ahsoka. Her species was something I knew absolutely nothing about and I just kind of brushed her off. But as I watched the series, she became more relatable. She was a young lady with an opinion all her own who thought she knew everything like most young kids do. I really fell in love with her character in the third season of TCW when she started showing signs of real growth and maturity, she still had her opinions on how things should work, such as with politics, but she learned that there was a time and place for everything. And although the ending of the fifth season broke my heart I think that she made the right move by leaving the order. Like I said even though she wasn’t my favorite flavor in the movie, Ahsoka Tano is still to this day my number one character in Star Wars because of her growth and her character in general!!! YOU GO GIRL!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I was in first grade when the Clone wars movie came out. Ahsoka and SW the forced unleashed were what got me into Star Wars. I'm 20 years old now and Ahsoka has been my all time favorite since her debut. It was so amazing seeing her in Mandalorian in live action. I can't wait to just see her grow more. As for Forced Unleashed, big oof
Ahsoka truly went through some tough times someone as pure and innocent as her shouldn't have but in spite of all those hardships, she still has one of the purest hearts anyone could've seen
I just want to say that the best part of both Anakin and Vader is that they are the same character. Whether than means one video, or two, or three, is up to you 😉
I agree with all the comments displayed and I would add her arc is ironically the reverse of Anakin: she starts off very arrogant and as she grows and learns she becames more mature and makes the right choices. Kind of reverse compared to Anakin who, yes, has always been very ambitious, but seemed to me kind of more balanced and wiser during TCW, only to dramatically fall at the end of his arc. Irony of human nature :)

Yeah, in spite of all Ahsoka went through at such a young age, she still remained one of the most kind and compassionate people anyone would've ever met, let's hope she still remains that way on the Mandalorian
Its kinda weird that Ahsoka's flaws are exactly what make her a perfect and compelling character.
Jericho Sombilon, yup, beautiful - and that’s a perfect message to send.
Imperfections are what makes characters perfect. Perfections are what make them imperfected
true
Zesty Lemon Zach you my friend should replace the writers at Lucasfilm
Because she makes mistakes, not force down our throats, actually have character development as the series went down.

My favorite fictional character, honestly.
Dave Filoni will always be by her side.
Asajj Ventress. Her story is rather interesting both in canon and legends, which makes her even more interesting.
I love her story in the Old EU. I think that version of Ventress is even better than Ahsoka.
Very true. I was surprised how much they moved through her story considering she isn’t a big lead in the show
You have my vote. Loved Dark Disciple. Btw Ventress interactions with Obi Wan haha, that s "classic" Star Wars in my universe.
Is it?
Ventress is a good one too...
Ahsoka’s a great character because she not only had to earn her place among the Jedi and the 501st as a character developing in a larger story, she similarly had to earn respect from the fans. Thanks to outstanding writing and character development, she accomplished both. Ahsoka has earned her seat at the table! 👍

I was so ready to come at you after that first prepositional phrase lol good synopsis

Oh man I cannot wait to see the grading for some of the characters from disneys parody trilogy.
Rey is a bland Mary Sue
Finn is wasted potential
Poe is completely useless
Kylo Ren is held back by crappy writing
BB-8 Literally just a worse R2
Snoke “Your theory’s suck”
Holdo my least favorite Star Wars character
Oh and don’t get me started on sequel “Luke Skywalker” if you can even call him that
In short: Ahsoka isn't perfect.
That makes for a character magnitudes better than a Mary Sue.

She is my favorite character and Ahsoka is a badass. It’s amazing how far the character evolved over the years and she became a huge fan favorite.
It ain’t that hard to be a loved character when you have consistent character development
Like everyone else
She's a well written character with a compelling story who worked her way from random newbie to one of the best star wars characters ever.
She wasn't forgettable... in the Clone Wars movie, she reminded me of the stereotypical adolescents - Assuming they know what's best for themselves, being skilled in achieving their goals, while attempting to show their elders how wrong the elders are.
I remember two lines of dialogue from her in the movie I still smile at, while she was making an attempt at diplomacy:
Ashoka: I'm a Jedi Knight!
[Anikan Turns and Glares at Ashoka]
Ashoka: I will be!
When she stands her ground for something you know her heart is in it
It's simple, she grows as a character, makes mistakes and learns from them and she earned her stripes... Anakin has taught her well.
Why bother, can't argue with facts right?
"Please Rex next" Snips was the best bc u grew with her and watched her grow and develop her abilities. She was the most annoying character at first then she grew on me then she became in my top 10 and a beloved character👍👏👏👏
Ahsoka is great because unlike Rey, she has a personality and has gone through hardships.
She also wasn’t used to push an agenda.
Only watched 16 seconds of the video, but I 100% agree.
What did he say in the 16 seconds?

Because some people write character to be static, e.g. Toph, from the Avatar: The Last Airbender, though I argue that she does grow. I love Ahsoka! She was my idol when I grew up! She has grown so much over the years and I really like her story.
The way she grows and earns her place as a fan favourite / main, strong character is exactly why I love her. She is amazing

PLEASE can she get her own show!!! She’s one of the greatest characters ever created. PERIOD. She’s amazing with an amazing story and everyone loves her. She needs her own show and her own live-action movie. Everyone would see it.
I was just thinking that before reading your comment! I really wish they did give her, her own show
No she isn't
I know this is ridiculously long, but Ahsoka is important to me and I need to get it out there
Seeing her in rebels really sealed the deal for me, it really shows how she grew
Because she has the greatest one liner in Star Wars , "Hairless Harpy!"
Ahsoka is my favorite character and Bo-Katan is my second favorite character which is why I am so hyped for the Siege of Mandalore arc
She’s one of if not my most favorite character
If she was a creation of Dave Filoni it was back when Lucas was still in charge so he was ok with Anakin having an apprentice in the clone wars
I agree with you. She is awesome.
The prequels were awesome primarily for its world expansion/building as well as lore. The problem was just that the movies executed it badly
Score of 4.55 is pretty decent but this video was released before the Siege of Mandalore arc was dropped so the ratings are probably higher now....
I absolutely love Ahsoka!!! Watching her relationship develop and deepen with Anakin in the Clone War Series made their reunion in Rebels so damn heartbreaking.
I’ve been looking forward to this
Ashoka earned our love and fandom.
Ahsoka is very relatable. Makes her loved by all. My favourite character.
Do Anakin Skywalker the Chosen One next
dave filoni knew what he was doing, he designed an actual character growth, the first weve seen ever since the prequels.
How are you doing Thor hope you’re good man
I'm doing great today. How are you, my friend?
Thor Skywalker I’m doing really good I’m glad People are enjoying clone wars
Ahsoka Tano is my favorite character. She has amazing character development and is always a good person. I love how she went back to save Rex
Darth Maul. He's a character that everyone loves.
Do Qui-Gon or Anakin next week, please!
Ahsoka truly went through some tough times someone as pure and innocent as her shouldn't have but in spite of all those hardships, she still has one of the purest hearts anyone could've seen
Asaj Ventress for the win!
As the number one Ahsoka stan, thank you for giving her the love she deserves 😂😂
I just want to say that the best part of both Anakin and Vader is that they are the same character. Whether than means one video, or two, or three, is up to you 😉
Three??
Could be interesting to do another ahsoka poll bc of her series
I’d love it if you did one of these for Galen “Starkiller” Marek.
