Those belts had to be changed at ever 7500 miles. Just did my blog on this the other day do I think a Ducatis make good daily drivers. My answer was yes and no. Check it out let me know what you think. That Desmo service is know joke there is 16 shims in those heads, that can be very time consuming to do. Especially if you actually have to do any shims. Probably planted because the 1299 Panigale has wheelie control, traction control and all sorts of other electronic rider aides.
You can thank Volkswagen's ultimate ownership of Ducati, that led to those longer, less expensive service intervals. Getting German engineers involved with this Italian platform was a perfect marriage.

@@messer7bc I don't get this street lights BS back in the days people used torches and were just fine.... That's how silly you sound. Quickshifter is much faster and smoother to use. Let's not mention it removes the rooms for human error which can have negative impact for lifespan of the transmission. As i said you can live without the quickshifter but just like any modern gadget it makes your life heck more convenient. Also it must have if you do any serious drag racing or lap times if you don't want to be in disadvantage.

I had a choice between a Ducati 749 and a cbr600rr I picked the cbr and for 99 percent of people the Japanese platform is more fun and easier to own then any Ducati.

It's great, i've mainly had older second carbie bikes for 3 or 4 years and this is my first EFI bike that I've owned and also my first belt drive. Smooth, starts easily, no chain maintenance; It's a little down on top end power because my previous bike that i had for a year was a 750 suzuki katana sport tourer but, it has a nice amount of torque and has great range which is why i bought it because its my daily driver. Once i put an intake/pipes on it and have it Dyno'd I might be able to make it a bit peppier but, i'm not too worried, I'm not an unsafe driver.

They are extremely fast. I have a monster 821 and its damn quick. I rode their multistrada which had 160 hp. It was insane. If you get a chance try one. They are a hoot.

There is the brake fluid in.. kinda... When the brake pads are new or in good condition the fluid reservoir is on max, when the brake pads are in bad condition or worn out the brake fluid raises to minimum... thats how you can control the condition of your brake pads on a motorcycle.

The ones where a picture of the bike obscured the speedo were apparently that much beyond the 119 mph already shown. How much more do you want, exactly? :) the machine will probably Ghostrider for you, but the guy would be ill advised to do that on camera.

He meant time wasted mid regular shifts. Quickshifter does the job better and it feels better than the clutching and shifitng.
