I purchased a new B-King in 2008, and loved every mile of the 28k I rode it. It was totaled in an accident in 2013 and I’ve been sulking ever since. It was a funny thing back when it was introduced. No one knew what to think of it. The big magazines loved to hate it, but honestly seemed to be more confused on its intended purpose than anyone. They’d always end up posing it against bikes like the then new generation V-Max... a bike with a COMPLETELY different philosophy of use. In hindsight, Suzuki was bold to put it out there. The economic recession of ‘08 didn’t help Sale’s whatsoever, and by 2009-2010, dealers were begging to sell the remaining 08’s for peanuts. Great bike. Love the channel, the message of Christ and your content. God bless.

The best review of my bike I have seen. I have had it since February 2012. You are right. This makes a good touring bike. I even have a Hepco & Becker Gobi adventure style top case on it, and it looks okay because of the width of the rear end. It is exceptionally stable and what you didn't get over is how tractable the bike is at low speeds. I can ride through a Spanish village, typically about one mile long in top on no throttle opening, the torque is so strong. It has to be the best naked inline four ever made. I have read about owners who have done 80,000 miles and they have never had to shim the valve clearances.
You're going 100 mph at 5,000 rpm in top, just to get things right.
    Your best review so far.

Having this bike since several years, I confirm you analysis. This is an excellent bike with high end quality frame and a very smooth engine (used also on the Hayabusa). This bike has been made mostly for the riding pleasure, you can also go fast with it. I rarely use the B mode (exclusively under the rain). From my point of view the only bike which can be compared to the B King is the the Yamaha VMAX which a heavier power cruiser with a shaft transmission and a bigger engine (1700), the B King is more sport oriented with a high performance engine and a chain drive. Excellent bike and excellent reliability. Many thanks for this nice video and greetings from France. Samir.

I had an 09 V-max with 187 rwhp. I loved it’s look and in a straight line it was a rocket. However, the force it took in the bars to turn the thing (and keep it turning) was AWFUL. Sold it. JUST bought a B-King 2 weeks ago and LOVE it. Looks are not great, but I plan to tinker with mine and improve them. Handling is Amazing. Super light in the bars and very flickable. I’ve done a ton of track days and had many sport bikes in the passed, this 500+ pound muscle bike feels like a GSXR 600 in the bars. Pretty comfy too with adjustable rear sets and bar extensions. Truly love this bike.

In 2008, I had the choice of the GSF1250/S Bandit or the B-King at my dealership. I chose the Bandit because it was more comfortable ergonomically for me. I wasn't a fan of the tank wings hanging out that I had to fit my knees under. I've had many bikes in my 72 years including the 2001 GL-1800 Gold Wing, the 2007 Triumph Rocket III Classic, 2006 Honda PS-250 Big Ruckus, 2007 Kawasaki KLR-650 & the 2011 Kawasaki 650 Versys, all registered & on the road simultaneously. Now I have only two left; the Bandit & the 2017 Triumph Bonneville Bobber high torque 1200, but I haven't found anything wrong with this pair of 1200's yet. They both keep me giggling inside my helmet when I ride them. I think the Bandit is the best kept secret out there; 150+ mph & 59mpg.

      Agreed.
As a B-King owner, I can attest to a few pleasant aspects.
      A: Upright seating position.
      B: Seat itself is comfortable.
C: Controllable fury. Mellow, or Malevolent, your choice.
Lowered pegs, Airhawk inflatable seat cushion, and if wanted a windscreen, make for an exceptional long range rider.
BTW: The ladies love them. The passenger accommodations however; are found wanting.

      On the Road/Street? Surprisingly nimble.
      And, stable.
      Not LiterBike agile, no.
Yet on rough Asphalt Anaconda infested roads....
The King holds it's own against any pretenders to the throne.
Including, Super Motards & Adv Tourers.
Parking lots? It's a large bike, both in dimension and mass. Add a non adjustable Steering Damper to the equation=No, The King is no "Blacktop Ballerina" by any measure.

Splitting traffic is easy due to the brakes on this beast. My only complaint is the small gas tank. Would be perfect if this was 5+ gallon tank. Gotta be careful not to open this thing up on the local street. 1 second in and you're past 45 mph and you're just in 1st gear.

got a 2008 B King today and I can tell you it is very easy to ride! The throttle is so controllable and the motor is smooth af. Not an advanced riders bike at all!

One of the coolest bikes I've never heard of. With some updates it would definitely be a contender today. As an older bike it's perfect for someone wanting something rare and different, but with today's power.

That is something I really like is to have a bike few other people have....Typically about 15 years old or so. Suzuki TL1000S, Kawasaki ZRX 1200, Now a Triumph Speed Triple, which oddly enough of all the bikes I ever had this is the one people seem to like the best, I have gotten more compliments and comments on it than all other bikes I owned put together... It's a 2000 Model in Roulette Green ... so I think that pulls people in.

Cool review. I had a B-King. Changed the exhaust and gave it some more air, cold air. Had it tuned and it made 183.2 Hp at the wheel. Changed it for a Tuono V4 Factory though.

@@robdixon6862 I wanted to change a lot of things on it. And the Tuono had all those things. And I made a picture of the bike once and realized it's a very long bike. Also don't like that.

@@EricvZ1967 Thank you. Yeah, the Tuono seems to be a pretty dope bike. enjoy. I am considering this one and I already have an 02 R6 project bike I got up and running. It's fun to right but not upright.

Watching this Video because I am pre shopping for my next bike. I typically buy 10- 15 yr old bikes in good shape for cheap. Currently running a 2000 Speed Triple... I think I will keep it. Looking at the XR1200, KTM950 SM for fun..... HD Softail Deluxe, Road king, or Moto Guzzi Eldorado for cruising.... Or Moto Guzzi Stelvio NTX or BMW 1150 GS if I want to do offroad exploring. I remember these B-Kings. I like the looks of it and the presence - it's a beast. I don't think I will put it on my short list to consider as cool as it is I think the Speed Triple covers similar territory as far as riding as this does. Thank's for the Video.

I bought one new in 2008, liked it so much I bought a second one to customize and make a bit louder. Had custom paint etc, but I usually kept riding the stocker. Actually it's not that wide, and that tank is not the gas tank, it holds the air box. The tank is lower down for better balance and handling. This bike has one feature I always considered important if available. You can stand up straight on it. Nice when you want to stretch or dry off after riding through a rainstorm. I did take it all the way to the governed 158, in fourth of six gears. Then, in a period of insanity I traded them both in on a Slingshot so I could take my wife riding. But I never gave up two wheels, I still ride a Victory Octane at 86 years of age.
