to be fair he rides a different bike every day and all bikes ride differently. Someone riding a brand new (to them) bike after 5 minutes isnt going to do a 0-60 as good as someone who has owned the bike for awhile. I'd bet if you gave him a couple more attempts he'd get faster numbers.
Absolutely love my 2013 Busa which is the same colour as yours And thank you for telling the world it is not just good for drag racing My Busa eats corners and doesn’t go near drag strips
yeah. can 100% agree. Got the same as shown in the video. WVCK RA L3 . The Torque of the engine and the wide usable rpm range is superb. Evrybody with experience should try one out
You don’t need to be an advanced rider to ride the Hayabusa. You just have to be competent. And I think that’s a required quality for any bike, not just the Hayabusa. And I’m speaking as someone who’s first bike was a Hayabusa. And I started in A Mode too. Don’t be scared. It only goes as fast as you want it to.
I feel like I must give my two cents here! I bought a Hayabusa (1st gen, bone stock exhaust and all) a few months after getting my license, technicly not my first bike but my second. And I can honestly say it's an incredible bike to ride, I haven't had it above ~150km/h so I'm a pretty careful rider in regards to speed but the overall experience is amazing. Great comfort and great confidence in the riding and the bike, great handling bike that feels nimble and not AT ALL terrifying to ride, very predictable! It ACTUALLY does exactly what you ask it to and I have to agree on the point that it takes self control to own and ride a bike like this but ANY bike will get you killed if you can't keep your right hand under control. That was actually the first tip I ever got getting into riding motorcycles on the street, if you lack the dicipline to ride responsibly, don't ride at all. A Hayabusa is a bike for anyone wanting a sporty yet comfortable ride!
Exactly what I did when learning my Blackbird. Did some short pulls in 5th gear and worked my way down the gears as I grew more comfortable. My first time passing a car in 4th gear went like it’s fast, dang it’s fast, yikes it’s fast, holy cow it’s fast lol. I’d love to try a Busa some day.
Hey Sean i rode out to your shop from philly last thurs with a friend of mine i was surprised to see you guys were closed but thats my fault should've called first but your guys were super hospitable let us check out the shop any way tell them thanks for me great channel and business god bless
I've ridden bikes all my life but never a bike with this much power. A friend brought his Hayabusa to my house for me to ride. I couldn't believe the power and speed this thing could do. It's almost like I've never ridden a bike before. It's insane performance by a completely stock bike. All I can say, it's an amazing bike for experienced riders. Kudos to Suzuki!!!
Your right about the busa is a home on the freeway. It cruises at 90 like it ain't no thang! I had a 2013 I did some mods on it to make it more responsive. On take off I black out on it from the G forces and woke up 2 seconds later laying on the tank!! That is when I realized that if I don't sell it I will get messed up or die on it,not to mention the countless times I when we'll over 100 mph on it evading possible felonies.
I mentioned this on another video but I got to ride my mates 2010 busa. Surprisingly good, I'm a honda boy and have had more than 20, Currently have 5 cbr250rr mc22s. The busa was less big and less heavy than I expected. And super smooth. You can ride it like a commuter bike i.e ninja 300 or something. Far less twitchy than the 2008 cbr1000rr I rode. Comparable to my old 2012 cbr600rr or the 2004 one. And yes, when you twist the throttle it just goes like beans. I'd honestly consider buying myself one if I had space and wasn't trying to somehow save for a house
This is the dream bike you want when you don’t have driver license. The feeling is not what you want if you are a beginner and smart enough to think about driving safety. This is not only an issue of speed. This is a high seat with a different gravity center than a small cruiser. Also, if you are a rider, you don’t want to impress, you don’t care about your image of cool teenager. You don’t buy this bike with same circumstances you have watched it the first time.
Great advice for everyone who has even LESS experience riding than you do. Still working on how to come up with an idea you can charge us all for viewing. Best wishes.
The Busa is one of my 4 "I WILL DEFINITELY HAVE AT SOME POINT" bikes. There's the V-rod, the Road King, the Goldwing and the Busa. I've already owned a v-rod. I'll probably save the Road King and Goldwing until I get a bit older, so I guess the Busa is next on the list.

Newer riders, especially younger ones, make sure to check insurance cost before you buy one of these. Over a few years’ time, your insurance cost might equal or exceed the price of the bike.
Actually, it's a GSX 1300R putting it in the sport touring class with the Katana. One of the most notoable differences between say an 02 Busa vs an 02 GXXR 1000 are their compression ratios. The Busa has a low 11 and some change to 1 whereas the GXXR has 12.5/1. Therefore, a Busa, at least the first gen can run 87 octane. Haven't looked into the detailed specs of the 2nd and 3rd gens. In Suzuki nomenclature there are 3 classifications: GS (Standard), GSX (Sport Touring) and GSXR (Sportbike). And yes, being the Busa is a GSX model it keeps insurance premiums ridiculously low.

Gotta say below 5-6 grand there's no difference on the power between A B or C mode just a throttle response delay, you start to see the difference between medium to high rpm, which is kinda useless if you want it to be a bit more docile (especially in traffic) The only time I might use any of the other modes would most likely be when it's wet, but even then I just wouldn't choose ride the thing on a wet day
