- Godzilla: Unleashed for the Nintendo Wii, better than the PlayStation 2 port. Was it better than Godzilla: Save the Earth though? I don't think so, the only thing that was better about this game was the bigger roster of monsters. But no rage attacks?

fun fact, biolante has code and a model in godzilla save the earth, but they scrapped her before the game was finished, you can still play as her with cheats though.
I remember that, would've been lit if they ended up putting her in Save the Earth, the better game.
@DragonlordTevin To be fair, I did play as her via cheats but her moveset is way too good for the game
Yea, the reason she wasn’t in save the earth because of licensing issues, she was finished and everything.

Godzilla Unleashed looks lovely in HD, makes me crave a modern remaster
If they did that, they'd have to either remake the other 2 in the trilogy as well (Destroy All Monsters Melee and Save the Earth), or try to fit the stories of all 3 games into one remake, with Unleashed being the base structure for gameplay elements while also taking elements from the other 2, such as the "Rage Mode".
I'd love all three re-released in HD as a collection, although your fusion remake idea is intriguing as well!
Probably the first Godzilla game to have a lot of characters, probably even more than the ps4, that sadly passed away.
And now we're stuck with mobile games having to give us our fantasy Godzilla battles 😑 TOHO would be smart to make a 4th real game by now.
@@DragonlordTevinI mean, there’s Gigabash, a game that did collaborate with Godzilla and Ultraman, but only added 4 Kaiju’s from Godzilla and 4 Kaiju’s from Ultraman.

Having hedorah and monster X /kaiser ghidorah would’ve completed the roster for me
They should make a mobile remake of ps4 Godzilla but add more characters and give it the vibe of this game

The PS2 version is exactly that, but it's also the worst version for having a smaller roster.

I remembered being disappointed that not all the characters on the back of the cover were in the ps2 version for a long time i just thought there was a secret way to unlock them

It would be nice to have a Godzilla game with a similar concept to this game, but it current gen graphics. And they would actually look like the monster they would suppose to be. Not only that, I wish everyone Kaiju from every Godzilla movie was in the game, not just a select few. And if a Kaiju had multiple versions, then those versions should be included. That we we would have a ton of kaijus to choose from. And the online feature would hopefully be good and not lag any.
Can't be done in current year, far too many copyrights to go through

I still wonder why they didn't add Biollante in the PS2 verison, maybe because the model was too much for the console to handle at the time.
No. The PS2 version was just a slightly reskinned version of Save the Earth, which confirmedly already had Biollante's code, model, and animations.
As a longtime player of this game I really wish it had better controls. With such a big and diverse kaiju cast it’s close to being the perfect godzilla game

When I played this as a kid, my favorites were Kiryu and Godzilla 54' so I guess I was playing the same character lol

To this day im still mad that i can’t play the Wii version with a regular controller. I have both versions but i still play the PS2 version because i don’t have to flail around like a maniac ☠️
I guess it was cool that they were trying something new with the Wii motion controls, but not making it optional was definitely a crime. Might as well make a new game already, where is it TOHO???

Kiryu looks like it's turning on. That's neat. Mechagodzilla I does it better while maintaining that oldschool robot feel.

Final Boss Spacegodzilla is extremely disappointing.
Biollante should be slower, but the earthquake is a necessary addition that I'm glad they included.

Obsidious is absolutely a scrapped King Kong.
I do think Krystalak is being genuinely threatening. I just can't see this guy beyond being Spacegodzilla's sidekick. If Spacegodzilla didn't exist, he could be a good kaiju by himself.

Those were brand new monsters created specifically for the game, they're never in any Godzilla movie.
