Yeah, time sure has been kind to Zilla. Honestly, getting a new name separate from “Godzilla” was possibly the best thing to happen for the ‘98 design. Now, it can stand on its own two feet and be appreciated as its own unique entity. I really hope this and all the other support he’s gotten from fans, along with his roles in the Rulers of Earth comics and the Monster Apocalypse Anime Trilogy prequel novel, help him get some love from official sources like a new short film or video game if that ever happens.

I think it was a huge oversight on the part of the original game developers that they didn't add the Monster X to Godzilla Unleashed, he would have looked much cooler as the final boss in the game, but to my surprise he never managed to get into any of the major Godzilla games.
I like the detail of not only Final Goji, but also Mire Goji and Orga, since their film was made in response to 1998 (and revived the franchise in Japan) with Orga himself even taking some elements of 98 ‘zilla’s design. Seems the moveset is a mixture off 2000 and Baragon, which makes sense since both GMK Baragon and ‘zilla jr were depicted as agile borrowers. There’s also the inclusion of Komodithrax as an alternate skin.
I did not expect Komodithrax, that was such a sweet thing to add, it truly shows how much love was put into this mod and Zilla. Thank you so much for this!
I remember sitting outside as a kid during recess and watching people play unleashed and save the earth an thinking "man I wish Zilla was in it" and now he is. This is literally a childhood dream of mine so thank you so much for adding him(and Komadithrax!) in to this gem of a game!
I don't know, I'm not sure they can accept any money because of toho licencing and such, but I hope they will make a public announcement if there is any way we can support them, because I want to see this project succeed!!
@ They can't do that because of copyright, I think a possible solution could be to contact someone from Toho directly, for example, to discuss the possibility of some kind of cooperation, for example, or turning the team working on STEM into a full-fledged game studio, that would be great.

Okay, two things: 1. We are overdue for a good Godzilla fighting game. This video proves exactly what we need. 2. Zilla needs to be in the game. Or at least a DLC. This should also go for clover from Cloverfield. Bonus: as an idea for an additional skin - Cyber Zilla
Though I'm certainly no dev for the mod, the lack of a cyber-zilla skin makes me believe they are very open to the idea of making him a standalone fighter.

98 Godzilla was my first introduction to The Godzilla Franchise as a whole, while some may see fit to insult or degrade that movie, it and Zilla hold a special place in my heart. So to see him get some respect to his name and by proxy, Zilla Jr from Godzilla The Animated Series as well as Komodithrax, brings joy to my heart. I was born in 1998. The first 2 Godzilla movies I bought were Godzilla(1998) and Godzilla: Millennium. To me Zilla has always been a cool monster but still not the OG Godzilla by any means. I made a friend out of a bully when Godzilla STE originally came out. And Sum 41's "We're All To Blame" is my favorite song of all time. The first time I heard it was on Godzilla Final Wars and here on RUclips about a million times by now. So please understand when I say "Thank you for making this!". Not just the game but the video that brought me back to my childhood 20 years ago. Thanks for letting me relive Godzilla's 50th year anniversary again while enjoying Godzilla's 70th anniversary. You have awesome skills and I always look forward to anything new from you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
i literally cried when they added zilla and komdothrax into the game and having the other godzilla's test and approving them into the family just makes my heart melt with both happiness and joy

Sweet Jesus it's been how many decades and zilla is finally in a bloody fighting game! Zilla was my first introduction to godzilla and he's always been my favourite Godzilla variant specifically the animated series version I just loved his design roar and of course his Green atomic fire breath!

Seeing how one of my favorite godzillas and kaijus have the spotlight and shine in this trailer made me feel emotional watching this, godzilla 98 has been and continues to be one of my favorites, and this video emphasized it to me. Seeing komodithrax there too was what made me love this video even more, definitely one of the best moments of the trailer!

It honestly makes me happy to see Zilla becoming more accepted. I loved the movie as a kid, grew to not like it as a teenager, but now U look back fondly on it as one of my first Goji movies. And even the more recent comics and director of Minus One like Zilla, so that says something.

Brought my girl Komodo in too with a female on the second half of the track?! So fucken good, man! I'm very hype for more gameplay uploads with the updated roster. I don't have any access to this masterpiece but I'll take what I can get. It's shaping up to be just about everything I've been looking for in a Godzilla game. Godzilla: DAM melee and Save the earth got spamed with me growing up but STE was my favorite. Still always felt like there could be more done with this concept. This made me feel like a kid enjoying anime music videos again, the song is a perfect sharp pick, it suits how cool she is just right. Epic level video, now I want to play the game.

It honestly makes me happy to see Zilla becoming more accepted. I loved the movie as a kid, grew to not like it as a teenager, but now U look back fondly on it as one of my first Goji movies. And even the more recent comics and director of Minus One like Zilla, so that says something.

Yo!!! When the Sum41 cover started and the epic Voice said Zillas name, I sqealed like a little school girl lmao And the hype just kept rising. Brought my girl Komodo in too with a female on the second half of the track?! So fucken good, man! I'm very hype for more gameplay uploads with the updated roster. I don't have any access to this masterpiece but I'll take what I can get. It's shaping up to be just about everything I've been looking for in a Godzilla game. Godzilla: DAM melee and Save the earth got spamed with me growing up but STE was my favorite. Still always felt like there could be more done with this concept. I'm like, where's Biolante and King Ceasar?? Little did I know what was coming after the 1st 2 entries.....😅 Out of nowhere, this 'Godzilla:STEM' pops up in my suggestions. Best click ever lol
