- 2025 Mustang sees a massive price increase on GT and Dark Horse Models. WIth the S650 Mustang launch, 2024 Mustang was already seen to be expensive. 2025 Mustang GT increases prices even further without any improvements.
2025 Mustang is launched with GT modesl costing almost $50,000. This makes the 2025 Mustang not so affordable compared to even 2024 Mustang GT which was already too expensive.

I'll keep my 19 GT. With the current prices and the lack of an actual upgrade no need to bother with the S650
Yes! My plan was to upgrade in a year or so but with these prices it’s difficult to justify!
Agree with you. I’ll keep
My 1600 mile 21 GT myself. These price increases are ridiculous
If we the consumer as a whole stop paying these outrageous prices, they will have to do something. We have the power.
We have the power--- ONLY IF WE STICK TOGETHER!!!
WE WONT!!!
Yeah that’s true! Same goes for mark ups! People need to encouraging the behavior by paying make ups
I was on the fence about getting my ‘24 due to price….so glad I pulled the trigger when I did. I wouldn’t buy a ‘25 at these prices. I definitely agree with you regarding lack of competition facilitating higher price. Thanks for the revelation!
@@joesprostreet74gto68 yup! I remember thinking 2024 was too expensive. Now with 2025 pricing, 2024 almost feels like a bargain
Glad I got my 24gt with the price Im comfortable with.
The pricing is crazy on 2025!! With no improvements
@@Red5oh yep, they wanna suck every penny u got
competition is the best remedy.
@@xrmerkur yup hoping Chevy will revive Camaro!
Only game I town---
If nobody buys because of price, they can cancel the Mustang???
Only V8 I town!!!!
Surprised they are doing this!!!
From 23 to 24 was a big jump for the GT, and now this jump!!! CRAZY????
It’s not going to kill the mustang! This is a trophy if you can get one!
For people who can afford it at that price!
I’m glad I decided to keep my 2021 ShelbyGT 500. 🔥👏🏾
Yup until a new s650 gt500 is announced which may experiment with the drivetrain, you should keep yours
Glad i bought my 22 when i saw pictures of the dash & rear end!!!
Front end is good, even tho many say it looks like the Camaro, its the only good-looking side of the S650-----■■■■■
Yeah I personally don’t mind the look of the s650 but these prices are ridiculous
@@rich4860 I had ‘22 premium with digital dash , manual , nite pony pkg active exhaust, slot hee after a year with about 2k miles on her 7/23… never was fan of s650 when it came out , but missed it and ordered my grabber blue 650 in sept 23, got her Feb 24 and I was wrong, my fav car, #45 be exact even better than my ‘06 GTO which was my fav
Pre owned is the way to go if ya want an S650. There are ‘24 GTs to be had for under $40k.
@@chopdogrulz1337 yup 2024 used gt are around high 30s near me
You know what’s funny? In the forums there’s a factory worker in there that talks about how the Mustang should’ve been more expensive anyways and the quality is fine it’s just hard work, etc. 😂
So I’m assuming it’s because of that new UAW contract.
It could be a new contract. I know prices haven’t gone up that much of materials or labor from 2024. The fact there aren’t any changes I’d expect it to be same price but it’s too expensive now
If Ford wants to cater to rich people, that’s their business. But us working class people is what brought the Mustang up to the forefront. I hope they remember that at some point. Meanwhile, I am just gonna stay with the 550.
Yeah at these prices it’s no longer the affordable pony that made the mustang so famous as working man like us could afford it
Honestly fighting with myself on the S650 now. I could have got a 24 but had someone back into my daily pickup but lost a ton of money because of that so I missed out. Really wanted to get into a v8 car for the first time now while at a new job making more money the 25's bumping the price up even more, I'm kicking myself because while not being a mustang fan (outside of older mustangs) the s650 visually really got me interested in the modern mustangs. I'm still on the edge of biting the bullet for a 25 since I won't have the money together for a 24 in time for orders to close at the end of the year but I still really want one but don't want to wait and roll the dice on a 26 and the price going up even more with no changes/issues being fixed.
@@slayedslyr grab a new ‘24, tons on the lots. Great daily driver
Yeah I’d go for new 2024 as mostly dealers are offering great discounts. Or get the 2024 next year. It will be couple years used but price difference is worth it
I own a 21 gt500. It's also a venom1000. I got it for 100k. I think it's one of the best bought mustangs of 2023. The new shelby super snake is only 850 or so, doesn't have the dct (which is pure magic and only ppl who hasn't driven one say "I RatHeR have A maNuaL." It is a manual look it up). Now. Let me tell u about a 1000 hp gt500... it destroys: yes. Whatever gt3rs, m4cs, every hellcat/demon I've ran, cameros, corvettes don't matter. It's the king. It's too much fun. I tell ppl it's my girlfriends dad's car. They never know what to think. Lol. They're like cool dad, I'm like, I'm kidding. They laugh I laugh. It's a good time.
That’s a good deal for that package. Gt500 is the ultimate muscle car in my opinion! Not to mention it will retain its value pretty well. I’d love a gt500 one day
@@Red5oh ppl absolutely love it at shows too.
@@Red5oh also had a 2001 gt. And was raised on a foxbody lol.
@@pjbiggleswerth8903 true mustang fan right here! Foxbodies are starting to go up in value
I love how the reason the 60th Anniversary Package in the thumbnail will have only 1,965 units built is to commemorate the Mustang’s first model year. Because that would mean comparing a quantity to the number of years since Jesus was born.
Lol idk if that was also the intention but definitely for 1965 being the first year
@@Red5oh I pointed out “the number of years since Jesus was born” because that’s what the year’s number means. It normally has nothing to do with the quantity of anything.
Sold my 22 gt500 expecting the S650 gt500 to be better
But no way i was expecting a GTD
The fact that the dark horse is $75k with the options id choose.
Im just glad i sold my gt500 for what i bought it for so no real loss
But with these proces im looking at a used gt500 now instead of a potential s650 gt500 in the mid $130ks
Yeah s650 will be crazy in terms of pricing and not to mention stupid mark ups. Without mark ups dark horse can easily get to $80k I’d imagine gt500 will starting $90k or so then add markups and it would cost so much!
Looks like made a good move letting go my 2022 and ordering my 2024 with all options I wanted 😅
Yeah 2025 is price is just too crazy
@@Red5oh yea won’t be long before I’m back in something more practical , maybe Jeep wrangler again lol
@@SixOneFive get the gladiator or bronco!
@@Red5oh yea have be atleast a wildtrak if I went bronco , raptor way too much. Wife has a loaded 2023 Area 51 f150 xlt so don’t need a truck
Mustangs have gotten way out of hand with pricing.. It's no longer a good value anymore unfortunately. This is why I went brand new BMW M2 over a dark horse / GT premium. Way more performance, luxury, and value. They need to be 5-10k less than what they're at now to be reasonable again.
You’ve got the perfect duo of German cars! S550 was a good value but these s650 prices are getting out of hand now
I dont think the 2024 sold that well for them to bring up the price. I wonder if this is how Ford says "aww well no one bought it, we get rid of this model"
Yeah 2024 sales aren’t impressive so I would’ve they’d add new features and keep the price same but they did the opposite
I ordered a 24 mustang after seeing the price increase and the options that were removed from201A pkg, The 24 is
overpriced to begin with. The 25 will not attract many buyers at that price point,
Yup not to mention for the same car! I even considered 24 due to 25 price increase. I wanted to wait for refresh but seems like it’s goin to be unaffordable
I want to assume that keeping the v8 around is starting to cost more on the side of government regulations and such because they can’t sell these v8s without consequences. As seen they are the last remaining v8 muscle car since it wasn’t good for the other companies paying emission fines out the ass.
Yup the demand for V8 is there but competition is slowly fading away due to additional taxes and fines. So while ford can still offer the V8 it just comes at a cost
Ford is trying to convert the Camero and the Dodge guys over to the mustang arenas but Ford needs to understand that brand loyalty is hard to shake. Like Trump, no matter how much of a criminal he is, they will stand by him. Or maybe Ford is trying to stop the Camero and the Dodge guys from becoming a mustang guy. You can't get the Camero or the hemi dodge so if you want to convert and play the modern stang, you have to pay the penalty fee. Like those moving away from California, there are those who are moving in but the stats do not count them. So the pricing increase will have us Stang guys not buying but the Camero n hemi guys are buying to replace the likes of us.
Probably with these price increase is that it’s overall getting more expensive to get the affordable pony car. $50 for base GT is absurd! Not too many years ago they were $36k. Given not much improvements the mustang enthusiasts are likely to get s550 while Camaro and challenger loyalists may decide to get the older version of their respective brand
@@Red5oh if they are into making money then they are going the wrong way. Just like Ferrari, they limited it to who can buy their brand. Maybe by raising the prices, we shall see less of newer modem stangs out there which then protects their brand and creates a sense of value. Guys like myself will have to jump ship and buy something else in the $50k category if that's the case. Toyota Celica lol
@@liarliar1408 even I have considered upgrading to c 7 or c8 down the line because mustang options aren’t appealing for the price and aren’t too different than my s550
A criminal like the Biden family? Lol
Like you said I think ford is also rolling the dice on this knowing a Camaro is gone and Challenger and Chargers with hemis are gone. Couple that with inflation.
This will start killing off the Mustang brand. Oh it’s not selling let’s axe it
Yup! With no competition ford has become lazy. I really hope Camaro or V8 challenger comes back
@@Red5oh With a regime change in the White House, the EV mandate will go away and a return of some of those discontinued V8s might actually happen!! Cheaper gas and removed restrictions/mandates will happen quickly. 🇺🇸
Keep it up !!!
@@alexvaldez7317 thanks for tuning in!
Dang that’s getting expensive. Even more when you convert it to CDN
@@Photosbydrew yeah way too expensive for being exact same as 2024 and even then the S650 not being a major upgrade
Thats crazyyy those prices save up and a year or 2 u can get a gt500
@@alexvaldez7317 yeah I can’t believe dark horse costs more than gt500. It makes no sense
Thank you so much for your video I think ford now the want people to change them mind and to buy others cars am one of fan of ford mustang but after your video you let me to think before getting mustang otherwise am going for 2019 Shelby 500 i think to. Upgrade your engine and body kit will be better then to buy new mustang
Shelby gt500 would be amazing! That’s my dream car maybe one day I can afford it. But yeah in terms upgrading from s550 to s650 it doesn’t make much sense plus you can’t tune them yet
Elections have consequences. So does printing so much money that the dollars you have are worth half as much as they were. This price increase is inflation in action. In case you hadn't noticed, your groceries also cost 30% more. Your gas is 100% more than it was 4 years ago.
Yup everything is so expensive. I miss the $2 gas and it’s not even like it was long time ago
4 years....that is BIDEN + DEMOCRAT
That’s bc thier pushing the Ecoboost mustang 😂
@@gabrielregalado7087 lol that’s never gonna get caught on with us enthusiasts. Mustang is associated with the V8
@@Red5oh I wanted a Gt but I bought a Ecoboost quick stang but just not the same without the 8 wait 2 years and trade it for Gt 👍
70k im not buying a ford.
Yeah there is a lot of other cars most people would get before spending $70k on this. C8 corvette and M3 comes to mind
