Thank you for the support. And you're totally right about my 'flying finger technique'... in 2005 Drum! MAGAZINE wrote a small article about me stating that my finger technique was different than what anyone else was doing at the time and they were the ones to coin the term "Flying Finger". If you watch my videos from early 2000s when I played live with Vital Remains you will see my index finger never even touching the drumstick, hence the term "flying finger" because with my technique my finger wouldn't even be touching the stick at all. And yes I would say good observation with the foot technique being similar to Kevin Paradis. I do primarily heel up, single stroke rolls (RLRLRL). BTW in 2007 I made a homemade instructional video and a ton of (known) drummer purchased it (Marthryn, Eugene, Pawel (dimmu borgir), to name a few...) it is still available for purchase here if you want to see more indepth view of my techniques: www.lordmarco.com/product/lordoftheblastdvd/ Anyhow, I appreciate the birthday wishes bro and cool video react. I also shared this video with my Facebook followers FYI. Cheers.
Thanks so much bro for checking on the video and providing this amazing information! Ill definitely check out more of what you have going on too! You definitely got my support bro! Also thank you so much for the share! This means a ton to me!(and i am definitely pinning this comment!)
Lord Marco probably has the fastest gravity blasts I've ever seen. He's a friggin' machine. He's recorded drums for over 600 tracks, if I'm not mistaken. He also has a 40 hour week day job and a family he spends time with. He's an extremely humble down to Earth fellow and seems to really enjoy interacting with his fans. He's an absolute monster behind the kit. The band Sleep Terror showcases some of his slower tempo creativity, so he's definitely not all speed. Great reaction as usual, my man! Keep rockin' and stay heavy! 🤘
This is fantastic information my friend! Thank you so much for adding this level of context to Lord Marco. I am even more in awe of him now even knowing all of this. Best believe he has my full support, and I look forward to checking out Sleep Terror.
Love Marco, amazing drummer and super cool dude. If you ever want a real trip, I suggest checking out Vornagar - one of the earliest bands he was in. I think there's a drum playthrough for the song Hyperion up on youtube somewhere, from like 2005 or so.
I’m not a drummer, but even my dumb ass can appreciate this man’s stick skills. I have no idea how he can be so fast, yet so relaxed and efficient at the same time. That’s TECHNIQUE.
I'm glad you finally got to this one man. Ever since I've recommended it, I've been waiting. I feel like reactors are sleeping on Lord Marco..you could dive into any one of his videos and be blown away. Have you seen the one where he plays blindfolded? Definitely check out JASAD. It's really good grindcore
Ill eventually get around to the recommendations. I just have to try to stay organized with how i approach making content so sometimes it takes a while. But im definitely revisiting Marcos work, trust me on that...
This wasn't even one of his faster playthroughs/covers lol You should definitely check this one out on your own time, and you'll see what I mean...gravity blasts from Hell haha ruclips.net/video/ziE1bdDBR7g/видео.html
Lord Marco is such a badass, true drumming pioneer but humble. He also spreads alot of positive and good messages on his profile. His work he did on the newest Waking the Cadaver album is some of my favorite drumming I've heard ever. Him and Chason Westmoreland were my favorite drummers growing up. If you haven't checked out Chason before you should. Super fast, crazy tight, alot of groove elements, the brother can flat out drum. The Exaltations part 1 & 2 live drumcam is an amazing example of his technical capabilities.
@@DrumlionMusic theres a old video of Chason playing jazz infused metal with brush sticks on a all organic/wood drumset at NAMM somewhere on RUclips that's short but awesome. Would make for a great "bonus footage" moment at the end. Love the content my man!
Do to the fact Lord Marco seems he is barely moving. Do to his finger technique being other worldly with all this insanity going on... I just want to mention their is No denying Death Metal song structure is Very straight forward. That if Lord Marco were to leave out even the smallest hit or accent to this song it would have been detectable. But he plays as Drumlion mentioned with such precise precision that is Very impressive.💀🤘I like the memes clips u thru in to..
I agree with you. If i had to call his drumming something i would say, its surgical. And thanks bro. Im glad you did the little additions i threw in there lol
