I love Novation products, absolute game changer. For anyone that watches this video in the future by the way, Novation has updated the firmware on the Launchpad X to allow for 8 custom modes. This was only previously available on the Launchpad Pro! This is an unbelievably cool update for a midi controller at this price point. Thanks Novation

Will there be support for the new scale awareness & tuning features of live 12? Would be very handy if launchpads could automatically adapt to a selected scale or stretch octaves on different EDOs.

Great video. How many scenes can we map with this pads?
I m an owner of another launchpad but i can map only 16 scenes. Does this device can map more?

The included copy of Ableton Live 'Lite' is limited to 16 Scenes. If you require more, you may want to consider upgrading to Ableton Live Standard or Suite.

    Hi,
I am not fond of drum fingering so, is there a mode to enter drum pattern ?
For example, each line could be an instrument from the drum rack, and every column is a beat (or a sub-beat)
So when I launch a record the instruments are played from left to right when a button is activated.
    Regards,

That's not currently a feature of Launchpad X but Launchpad Pro [Mk3] features a sequencer very similar to that.

How do you quantize from the launch pad after recording

Unlike Launchpad Pro [Mk3], Launchpad X doesn't have a dedicated Quantise control but you could use the Custom Keystroke Widget in Components to assign the keyboard shortcut (CMD+U on a Mac or CTRL+U on a PC) to a pad of your choice.

Not quite, Launchpad MkII functions differently. We explain how to get started here - intro.novationmusic.com/learn/launchpad/make-music/index.html#1
