I really am smiling a lot! I have not eaten this dish, but in my Korean drama movies I have always wanted to have some. Now I can…yea! Your videos are so fun and easy to prepare Korean food. I bet a book of your recipes would be wonderful to have. Kamsamida!
I always order this when I go to a Korean restaurant. I never thought about cooking it at home. Wonderful video with clear instructions.😁 keep up the good work. I plan to keep watching.❤
Hi! I finally found Dashida in a store! Where I live sadly amazon does not ship food. But I'm so happy! Of course I tasted it as it is. A tiny bit on my finger. And I instantly knew what taste I missed in my made-from-scratch dishes! I can't wait to use it in my Korean "ramen" recipe! 😋🤤

Recipe is really nice explaned! Thank you i'll try. Only the loud background music irritates me during the explanation. Could be more softly, so your explanation don't goes under
Wow…that looks delicious… The other day I bought dry tofu skin it was cut like noodles…do you have a Korean food recipe for these? Is the bean paste very salty?
Helen, where I live I only have access to Lee Kum Kee Black bean garlic sauce. Do you know if this is the same as the one you showed in your video??? I don't have any korean markets near me. TIA
Hi, You can give it a try, but Lee Kum Kee is Chinese so I imagine that it is made specifically for Chinese cuisine, not jjajangmyun. OR check out Amazon.com and see if you can order it online. All the product links are listed in the description box.
This looks delicious, went out to Korean Garden today for lunch and almost ordered it, but got the Jab chea instead with the onion pancake with fish and kimchi fried rice. It was heaven I have to learn how to make those too. I will check out your video's. I have all the ingredients for this but the black bean paste. Amazon here I come. 😊
@@dare102 well then they should call it by its Chinese spelling and slap the Chinese brand on. Calling it “Korean jjajangmyon” is like calling Mona Lisa “Korean Moona Risa”.
@@dare102 it’s the exact cultural genocide tactic used against China like the Japanese, a revival of WWII, except Koreans have joined the Axis of Evil’s side. And since it can call it Chinese American, why don’t you call it Chinese Korean, but just misbrand it as “Korean jjajangmyon” pretending to be the inventor? Just because you make minor changes to something invented by others doesn’t mean you can just put your brand on it. This is blatant cultural plagiarism and cultural theft just as Japanese call lamian (pulled noodles) as “Japanese ramen”. Koreans and Japanese are joining the New Axis of Evil trying to culturally genocide Chinese inventions and culture by misbranding everything Chinese invented as “Japanese” and “Korean”. Chopsticks, noodles, dumplings, rice noodles, rice wine, hotpot, doufu, soy sauce, miso, paper folding art, penzai, weiqi, tea, tea ceremony, are all Chinese inventions, not “Japanese” or “Korean”. At least Chinese American dishes are known by their Chinese pronunciations and Chinese brand, not “American” brand. Japan and Korea are cultural thieves and must be exposed.

I'll be making this as soon as I get the potato starch. Thanks Helen, You're #1 Asian babe.
i’m sure you can use corn starch as alternative. there’s no difference in taste
we always used flour with a bit of water--anything 2 thicken the sauce!!!!

i hate crunchy even only slightly crunchy onions, but ive found its still delicious when the onions are soft 😊
Try soaking them in seasoned vinegar first…my mom used to do this to temper them from being to strong flavored.

There will always be exceptions. However, a general statement is just that - generalized - hence why even you yourself can agree with it.
