@@BillR-e2g Perhaps the government should give out free 9 volt batteries to low income, nah they still won't change em. What's that beeping noise anyway? I had 1 lady tell me she likes it because it's like having a bird in the house.
@@publicmail2 tried that as a kid, with friends mom's slum rentals as a test bed and they'd never change the batteries and use them in their own junk devices instead! just schedule a mandatory 1/3/6 month or yearly inspection, go in change the batteries, do the air filters and blow out/clean any exhaust fans/dryer vents while there. again, that was the mid 1990's..... nothing has changed and they'll either cobble stuff themselves, expect rent reductions for the material and labor, then it costed you far more to repair right later anyway or they'd do nothing at all and let the place self destroy(water/drain/roof leaks, electrical issues). end result was always a well repaired place went to shambles in a few years tops. EDIT: and I;ll add those were whole rental homes, with garage and decent chunk of land for what is now mid to top tier rent here! they were not really total slums.
In most attic installations you need to install some plywood at least on the service side. Builders don't want to expend the extra $ 60.- to $ 80.- for it!
You want to be the best, you learn from the best and Curtis is one of the best. He has videos on how to wire a heat kit from scratch, I have used it myself, very handy.
may as well stock and sell, new detectors, and Carbon Monoxide detectors as well (CO), in both battery, hard wired, and combo detectors. lol the problem is, that would be multiple thousands in truck stock and none of the clowns would approve replacing/installing them!
I thought you would have put new plastic stand offs behind the circuit board before it shorts out on the cabinet...Looks like it's hanging on by fastener.
Love the videos Curtis , I’m a big fan . I was wondering if you could post some videos or pictures of you when you were a younger tech . Or just you as a young man ! Curious to see how the legend looked
Darn--there;s a "beep" happening every now and then in the background and I couldn't tell if it was one of MY smoke detectors(when the batteries get weak)
Thought Winter, 🥶 Cold would Kill those Darn Chirping 🦗 Crickets. 😬 It’s Not a True “HVAC GUY” video without Crickets. Thanks for Not letting us down. 😬👍
Hey Curtis why did you leave the board hanging ?? if that shorts out that's another callback and a pretty expensive board Just a 2 cent ty wrap would have secured it
Hey Curtis, could you tell us if the job is a rental so I stop thinking one of my smoke alarm battery's is bricked? Also, if I was you, I would change any battery that was chirping, because if there is a fire, and somebody sees the video, they will accuse you af being the " Most Knowledgeable" person. Ive seen it happen. I can't believe how many of your videos have " crickets" in them. I guess that's why the new alarms have 10yr sealed batteries.
I'm beginning to think that you just edit in the smoke detector beeps. Either that or if someone dropped a match thousands of houses would go up and smoke and nobody would be alerted. 😂🤣😂🤣
Love the videos, but Thank full I do not have to go into any homes for my line of work. These videos are making me think most people live like pigs inside and outside of their homes ate disgusting… and I would mad listening to the smoke detector beeping!!!!
Oh, there it is. I've missed that beeping smoke detector sound
Claims they invented everything under the sun on every continent but nary one of them can change out a battery. smh
IKR, it's hard to do, but I made a promise not to comment on it anymore.

Thanks. Heat is good, even in south Georgia. :). Have to watch this later as there is a chirper. Drives my old dog nuts.
My dog, Goldie is old and def, but it drives me nuts though....
I’ve been doing HVAC along time I still don’t understand why when someone install a unit that they don’t put down any plywood.
plywood cost too much for a jackleg job
That would be too easy.

I just fell through an attic about a week ago because of no plywood up there went right through and smacked the furnace on my way down 😭
Cost.
Thank you for the video. Im an apprentice and i learn from you
Glad I can help!

Another excellent video👍👍👍
Thanks again!
Another job well done curtis thanks for the video
You would make a killing carrying 9 volts in your truck😂.
some use AA's
The handicapped ones use AAA
New smoke alarms last 5 years

Once again great job well done
Thanks again!
It's been cold for sure. Great job
A professional job every time!
Another job well done curtis thanks for the video
Hope water pump fixed!
Great job.
If a capacitor reads 0 does that make it a UFO? Lol
Haha
Nice fix
Great job Curtis
Famous chirping noise lol. This message is for the algorithm.
Good video. seemed like that draft motor and the blower motor where both not much longer in this world
Turns out you are exactly right!
Good video
Thanks for the video!
I see the angry ceiling bird is chirping!
Birds hungry 😋
on a gas pack you have induced draft fan and a blower motor
The chirping smoke detector is usually a telltale!
Where did you get that magnet for the door switches?

What was that high-pitched tone and why would you not have repair that?
Give me a break. OK it's the battery going dead in the smoke alarm.
@jthonn no because it started with the furnace motor running
@@onejohn2.26. We must be talking about 2 different things. The chirp is the smoke alarm.
I can't understand for the life of me. Why ppl can't change ppl can't change smoke detector batteries? They sit around and ignore that beep smh

why didnt you take time and properly mount the module that was out of position?
It's possible the plastic mounting spacers were broken or missing but I agree w/y on that. A new board will probably cost another $ 100.-
Beep Beep😅.
Hey Curtis why did you leave the board hanging ?? if that shorts out that's another callback and a pretty expensive board Just a 2 cent ty wrap would have secured it
You need to carry 9 v batteries on you truck and make a hobby of changing smoke detection batteries youll make a lot of more doing it
You need to start charging $15 for annoyance/battery install fee!! The first time mine does it I IMMEDIATELY get up and replace the damn thing!! 😖
air pressure fan relay

jump out hi limit on a a/c I’m not so sure on heating
Blower motor don't have much life left
Would take amp of blower motor.
yeehaw! about 52% out of spec. capacitor, that'll do it! BEEP.... BEEP... goes the smoke/co alarm.
operation mode
hydronic heat start capacitor no fan

Is there a reason that microwave technology isn't used in the HVAC field? You could used it to heat water to transfer to the air.
Because that's both expensive and pointless. Creating heat directly can only get you COP=1 whereas a heat pump can get COP=4 or better.
If they escape it may fry you to a crisp.
the first thing I don’t want see is zoning it probably electrical what’s left
gas
