- Full walkthrough of the PC game "Hitman 2: Silent Assassin" (released in 2002) on the hardest game difficulty (Professional), Mission 9 - Shogun Showdown. The game was played by me with flawless free flow completion of the missions with "Silent assassin" rating. Stealth gameplay style was used where it was possible. All the scenario scenes and dialogues were included in the video, from the intro of the game till the credits at the end, hence the watchers can understand the storyline of the game. Enjoy watching

I like to think Hyamoto, in a way, sensed that his time was over as 47 snuck onto him. That's why he looked out of the window, to contemplate on his life in his last seconds and to accept his fate.

Maybe the weak point in this strong chain was the guards' crippling glaucoma, since nobody except that one ninja seem to notice anything weird he does, or him leaving with the girl. Even when they take off in the helicopter, the guards in the cutscene don't seem to notice at all.
In my playthrough, near the end the guards follow you and at the helicopter ask for ID. Also when using a fiber wire on Hayamoto the guards downstairs rush up, but using a silenced pistol to the head, only the flippy sword ninjas react (weird)
Actually they are trained to hear and check on any weird sound … so what is more suspicious than a sword falls on the ground from your master’s floor.
They don’t make ninjas like they used to.
Love the soundtrack for this level; Jesper Kyd is truly a genius :)

This was the most epic Hitman mission all the way from the beginning at Hidden Valley. It was such a cool setting, great music & extremely challenging.
I hated the Japan missions 😳

@@Jdac333 Only the first one was kind of bad (due to buggyness and the "Yame, yame!"), second and especially this one were really good.
Legend has it, that til this day, Hayamoto's 4 personal yojimbo's are still randomly flipping about swinging their swords at thin air.
The soundtrack of this game, especially this mission, is something else.
Killing Hayamoto with your wire counts as a non-target kill (for unfathomable reasons), but killing him with the bomb doesn't. If you just alert him and get him to lose his weapon, he runs for the weapon system before heading to the helicopter. If you drop the bomb where the weapons system was and just count to about 20 and detonate it, he'll die with no alerts and you won't get 1 kill to your tally.
Man, I've never seen anyone else get to the disguise without taking out a guard, very impressive!

One of the toughest mission in the whole series...
That guard stuck in the wall at 11:17 was giving me all kinds of trouble. It took me well over 2 hours to finish this mission with Silent Assassin rank because he wouldn’t stop following me. Eventually, I led him all the way down to the treasure room where his AI bugged out, turned around, and froze in place. I put him to sleep and the rest of the mission was easy except for that lady who keeps walking up the stairs and the fact the game thinks Hayamoto is a guard when he dies. Still got it, though . Fuck this mission. Not nearly as bad as Hidden Valley, but still broken.
Edit: and don’t get me started on the ninjas hiding on the support beams. You can’t sneak past them if you’re looking at them. You can’t even point your camera that way or they’ll start chasing you. But if you keep your camera straight ahead they ignore you. What sense does that make?!?!
Also, that girl on Kimono causes trouble
The graphics still hold up well considering that it's nearly 18 years.

The atmosphere, soundtrack, locations and gameplay of Hitman 2: SA is Absolutely Marvelous. It completely overpowers and owns the recent Absolution and the new 6th Hitman. Close second best would be Codename 47 then Contracts and Blood Money though the latter was too easy but still very enjoyable. PC game abusing kids these days don't want and don't know how to think for themselves, all they think and care about is graphic, not the actual gameplay and the atmosphere of the game. That's why Hitman series has been turned into a dumbed down, button-mashing, empty american consumerist Hollywood movie... And that's why Hitman 1-4 (with Jesper Kyd) was, is, and will always be the best.

Scientia Ac Labore The majority care about graphics yes. Graphics do not matter in a game,that is true. Hitman 1-4 are fantastic games,yes. Hitman 6 takes the good things about Hitman 1-4 and some good things from Absolution and puts them into one game,a game I personally like. I get why people don't like Absolution but it's still a good,fun game. Yes it strayed from the series a bit too much and I understand completely but I personally still love the game.
You're absolutely right except in one aspect - it's riddled with fucking bugs and glitches (also goes for enemy A.I.)
Scientia Ac Labore actually, this is only your opinion but my opinion is that Absolution is the best as you get to feel and bear the true power of 47 as you can take out targets in more creative ways and the stealth is greatly improved not that which people make you and see through your disguise in mere split seconds even on Normal difficulty which is frustrating, I like Silent Assassin as it has the Silenced Silverballers which are my favorite weapon in the game but still the stealth mechanics and system in the first 3 games was frustrating as even when I sneak behind someone, he spots me which once pushed me to the point that I threw the keyboard on the ground while cursing like a sailor after failing 10 times in a row in just 5 minutes!! Absolution is the best in terms of everything and it has Sniper Challenges which is quite convenient for an ex-US sniper like me and I love the missions that I get given a sniper rifle to take out my target.
LG1201 you mean Absolution, I love it more than the new one as the new one is an example of Absolute Capitalism if you know what I mean and it was about time a classic like Hitman got a strong story, it's one of the best games I've played in my life and I love its final mission!! Every final mission in Hitman games except Codename 47 are my favorite final missions in video games.
Mindblowing, how many Times, you had to play this, to get it as near as perfect as you can!

@@mehname8597 it's honestly not a cheat. I played the mission this way while on ps2
I have found that ninjas don't alert the other soldiers in the game. Everybody else is alerted if you got spotted by soldiers.

I got lucky at the end of this level. When I was going upstairs, the guard looked at me & started following me seconds later. But I just hurried up the stairs, shot the target with my silenced gun that I got from downstairs, & climbed out the window quick. Still got silent assassin. Just FYI, do not let the guards that follow you get close or they will check your ID! Just keep walking until you can escape. This level had a bad design at the end, I think there were bugs & you just gotta work with them.
Hitman 6 need to bring back ninja missions ^^
They really don't. These missions in Japan are godawful and the worst Hitman has ever seen. I'd be happy to never see Japan again after this.

It was an art to play Hitman 2: Silent Assassin perfectly. I never liked this level though. Just large empty rooms.

GizmoRose he's got average build and average height but high strength and that's why it's hard to track him and what makes it even harder to track or confirm it's his work is that he doesn't have a certain pattern of killing nor even an insignia but you can always suspect it's him but you can never prove it!!

I think you misunderstand the in-game mechanics, my friend.
I've played this game quite a lot, and regardless of outfits or disguises, running pretty much raises the "awareness" of enemies really quick. Hence I asked why the "awareness bar" didn't budge at all.

David Medlock walk straight ahead once entering the room and sneak back over to the stairs. Walking in front of the guards causes them to turn and face u and they stay that way allowing u to get up the stairs

there's an easier way to do this use anesthetic on the meditating guy , then go to the hitman mark - get the bomb , plant the bomb
steal the machine and then come up and from the back side of the helicopter shoot at hayamotos window - while he's standing at the window with a silenced gun - he'll start fleeing , then you can just go to the exit ( other than helicopter) and wait till hayamoto comes to the helicopter and starts it ( use map to track him ) , then boom goes hayamoto and you leave via exit
remember to hide the unconscious meditating guy and do things fast or he'll wake up - use all 5 sedatives
There's a question I wanted to ask since the Tubeway Torpedo mission: Does using a bonus save on Professional difficulty stop you from getting the Silent Assassin rank?

Just wondering why Lei Ling doesn't get changed when you come to take her with you. Surely she'd be freezing to death in that kimono?
Another way to do it is to leave an armed bomb in the basement, trigger the alarm from the surveillance room, keep an eye on the map, and when hayamoto reaches the basement to take the guidance system, then set the bomb off.

Looks like 47's upbringing didn't keep him from developing a sense of humor. Also, I like it how the ninja goons just stand there while you take the chopper.
Is it easier to get silent assassin in normal? Or AI awareness stays the same?
The AI is the same no matter the difficulty on Silent Assassin. This game is notorious for its difficulty compared to the new games. Things even as simple as running or being to close gets you caught. The only difference between difficulties on Silent Assassin is the amount of saves you can have per level.
At 10:40 how come the lady DOES NOT find hitman suspicious. I am trying to play this level and am stuck at that. The lady always feels suspicious about me and informs the other ninjas. Even if I evade her then ninja at 11:34 is faced towards me and not the opposite direction as you are playing, so when i try to go upstairs that ninja is ALWAYS following me and checking my ID. Thats where things go south man. Anyone facing this issue?

I love this stage, back in the day guess I shot everyone with my ballers.
Badass mission, my brother and I played it with this same strategy, though yours was more smooth (no weapon in hand so as not to arouse suspicion).
In my opinion SA way of doing this mission is seriously fucked up (because of io). When you kill Hayamoto, ninjas appear immediately. Silent Assasin's way is "no witnesses, no evidence, no alarms" And here there is some kind of commotion. The only thing to explain this would be that this outfit doesn't allow Mr 47 to be recognized. But it is, well...far-fetched.
How did you get past 5:15? I've been trying for hours, but the guard on the wooden bar always spots me.

MEH NAME He's not using cheats. It's called skill, and maybe a little bit of luck.
FTSDude69 at least 50% of every mission that involves stealth in both Silent Assassin and Contracts is luck and the rest is skill.

I don't get it at 6:46 I walk out and everyone's facing me, then after a few seconds the alert bar goes up and they start shooting.
Edit: I figured it out. i had the crossbow still, i had to drop it on the floor.
Check the controls in game options from main menu. There is a special button for it.
