Im using the door setup with my hennessy hammock. Works perfect. Can hang it on ground(trekking poles)or trees. Laughing at my friends who needs to look for flat ground to pitch up. Sometimes do a hexamid with trees or 2 poles. Or pyramid ....or 😂 100 ways to configure while only one with tents

Ahh, I can't wait for it to warm up around here Wooly! My kids have watched me deal with tarps and are all critical because it won't be "warm". Well, we know that but if I can arrange things like this, it will give them that feeling of enclosed and thus a warmer space.
Thanks very much for your efforts!

Nice. The enclosed would be great with a 4.5x3 tarp for more height for use with a hammock. The other set up for that tarp is the tarp tent with floor. I use a DD xl instead of pinning the door flaps back I use a carabiner to clip them to each other to make more of an inclosed tent. The other trick for more space is use two walking poles as an A frame instead of a single pole. It give so much more room. I made a double open Andes sleeve from some old canvas to put the poles in so they don’t slip and or damaged the tarp b

I'd have just dropped the top ends as well, that way you'd get extra closure.

This is brilliant! Thanks for showing this! Do you think in the event of a storm this would be good and strong?

I'm surprised at how well it lasted. It's still up now, a month after this was shot, 60 mph winds , rain, hail it's seen it all. It depends on the storm I suppose

Good setup . Used that before . Tight ( for me ) if both ends are enclosed . Still handy to quickly shut up shop if it gets a bit nasty outside though . Atb 👍
