    It came out great 2nd time. I pressure cooked it for 20 and then did the extra 5 minutes like you on the air fry and it was awesome!

    I followed the (whole) herbed chicken recipe in the foodi cookbook that came with it and it is WAAAAY off! Says 22 min pressure, and 8-18 air fry. The bird was DONE at 22 mins pressure. Not gonna trust the book any more. Ill come to your channel or Google it from now on. Glad I got the chicken on sale!!

    I was wondering why you cooked it for 15min. when the herb roasting directions in the booklet are for 22min? I cooked my 22min. and when I took it out and tore a leg off there was little traces of blood still seen so I had to put it back in and pressure cook it an additional 5 minutes. I guess every chicken is different. Unfortunately I didn't realize it until after I had air fried it for 8 minutes. I will know next time to pressure cook it for 25 minutes at least and air fry it for about 8-10 minutes.

    • @JohnSanders
      @JohnSanders  5 лет назад +2

      That is a good question and I had to do some digging to find the answer... the website states 22 min and the book that came with last foodi I bought says 22 min, but the one before that says 20 minutes and the book that came with that particular foodi... the OP305 states 15 minutes... so..I guess they have did some adjusting along the way... and I agree with you on all chickens are different and 25 minutes should be the norm... or at least the 22 they now state... thank you for watching!!!

    Had the NF 8qt for about 6 wks now. Must say that most of the chicken recipes are like this one. Pressure cook first and then crisp, etc. Honestly, i wish i was inclined to do a RUclips video because i would yell from the top of a mountain to NOT pressure cook your ckicken. unless u r dong a chicken soup or thawing out chicken beforehand.Pressure cooked chicken is tasteless to me no matter how much you bathe it in oil or butter and crisp it. I broil mine after i marinade it in say, Mojo for 8 hrs and let it drain for 30 min. Add some adobe seasoning or whatever u like and then BROIL it for 10 minutes or until u r happy with the look. Trust, it will be done and delicious!

      Thanks for commenting,I agree it is not quite the same as a baked chicken when you pressure cook it, it is excellent for many recipes though...Thanks for watching!

    • @wayneblack990

      Pressure cooked chicken will be tasteless unless you fill the bottom under the chicken with all your spices and broth.
      Lemon juice, honey, chicken broth or whatever.
      This will infuse the chicken with some wonderful flavor.
      Baste the chicken with salt, pepper and butter. Air Crisp to your liking Yum!

    If the truth was known, the one on the box is covered in all types of spices to give it that GOLDEN BROWN look. Since using this for SOUP, you probably wouldn't want all those things added in, tho. but GREAT JOB. Keep up the great videos.

    • @JohnSanders
      @JohnSanders  5 лет назад +2

      I would not say it rattles, however it does make a fairly loud fan sound, maybe you need to look closely in the fan to make sure no debris or loose screw is in there.
