OK I cooked a 6lb exactly as you did(i did use a different seasoning)and the chicken came out AMAZING!!!!!! Thank you so much for sharing this recipe!!
You are my go to channel for all my foodi recipes. Thank you doug.
Simple video showing the tool at work, thanks for that mate! Bought a Foodi at Sam's Club the other day, trying out something like this chicken today (garlic rub/stuffing instead of yours, mostly). Looking forward to it! :D
when that chicken came out at the end, i could here Denzel Washington in my head ; My Man..........
OMG Doug...that chicken looked awesome! I bet it tasted incredible. It browns nice. I was drooling the whole time. I do like the combining of the 2 appliances. I think if I ever see one I'm going to pick one up..thanks Doug!
Thank you soooo much for sharing this recipe! My husband and I loved it. I knew I could trust your recipes when I followed along with your Ninja Foodi pot roast 🙌🏽
I like how he flipped the chicken over and got the other side. Only video that I've seen that did that. Great idea... 👍👍👍👍
Good thing its October now. He grabbed that knife and went after that chicken like an old Fri the 13th flick. JASON LIVES!
That is seriously delicious! I love how the juice is running down the chicken as you cut!
Thanks man. Keep up with the videos. New favorite cooking show!!!
I’m loving your latest gadget!! Such a cool idea. Your chicken and vegetables looked so delicious. Thanks for sharing😃
You inspired me to try the liquid smoke. Since one of my favorite resturants that had wonderful smoked chicken closed I have been craving smoked chicken. Thanks
Hello. Have you tried this gadget?

Great ideas ! Thank you SO much for sharing !
I didn't know you could have liquid in the air fryer. I've learned something new today.
Eff the haters and trolls this looked bomb!! Thanks for the video!
You made this video so well. I was drooling. I don’t need this but sure do want it for I have been looking for something like this.
That looks amazing!!! You always make me so hungry, lol!
Thanks for sharing! That chicken looks delish!
Gosh! That looks so good. I’m very tempted to buy one.
Thanks man. Your videos are great. Ur voice is awesome perfect for this.
This is a really nice all in one cooker and I like the sneak a peek lid because you don't have to stop and pull out a basket like a regular air fryer. Just the fact that you can pressure cook the chicken then brown it all in one pot then remove it and cook your sides in it in air fryer mode is saving a ton of time and also clean up too! If this came in an 8 quart version it would be a Home Run! Hey Doug how about trying some homemade Mac N Cheese in it and finishing it off with the browning on top in air fryer mode. Great Video and I'm all in on watching your next one with this cool machine!!!
I just received my Ninja Foodi from Walmart yesterday, and I'm impressed by the practical layout of the manual and how the recipe suggestions in the mini-cookbook are geared to North American tastes. I see that roasting ("TenderCrisp" cooking, actually) a whole chicken seems to be the first thing the folks at Ninja want new users to try (after the "never before used a pressure cooker" water test), and I plan to try cooking a whole chicken in my new Foodie this weekend. If the weather stays cool in Illinois next week, perhaps I can try the chili with cornbread baked on top next week!
I love how you always share your food with us. 😍
This is wonderful !! I can't wait to make my chicken!
That's one awesome cooker Doug the chicken was tender juicy and delicious the whole meal looks delicious.
Thanks man!!
That chicken looks scrumptious! I have the Ninja Foodi and I'm going to do a whole chicken. Thanks for sharing the recipe. 😊
Hi Doug I would like to see you use the slow cooker function. Chicken looks great
I can't wait to try this!
Awesome carving skills. lol Looks yummy!
I just love your videos Doug...just subscribed..
Great job Doug it looks really great
Truly loving your new toy Doug. That looks delicious 😋
ok, while im not in the market to grab this Ninja, I will take the task of pressure cooking first and THEN air frying....my goodness, that chicken has got me drooling! those veggies look wonderful too! Great job!
The chicken you prepared looked delicious. I was interested to watch you carve the chicken so I could learn from you the proper technique. Why did you cut the chicken like that?
I'm not a chef...go watch a chef...my goal is to show you how the machine works...troll on tho and thanks for the view
Please PLEASE do consider getting one of these when it's available...you will wonder how you lived without it!
I've been looking for an easy way to cook my own whole chicken and this may be IT.
Thanks for the video.
Now, if they could only get these things to self clean...
Looks amazing! Do you have a specific app you use for your videos which allows you to stop and start video?
I can't wait until we get these at work so I can get my employee discount. Looks like a beast.
Thanks for this video. I'm going to make this today.
You should do more videos you did a great job on this one buddy!
I currently have 848 of them :)
😂😂😂😂 I found your channel years ago when I was in my George Forman modus. (I think it was 2017/2018) I didn’t buy it in the end, but watched a lot of your videos back then.
However, I just did buy the Ninja Foodi OP 300, and bumped into your channel again. I was thinking to myself how many of these kitchen devices will Doug have these days…..? 🤔
Anyway, great to see you again! I did subscribe this time. 🙏👍😀
Great job on this, how was the clean up on that basket? Does the air crisp lid get greasy?
Love the foodi videos. I have a 6qt cuisinart pressure cooker right now and I'm waiting for the 8qt version of this to come out before I upgrade. If you had to pick 1 pressure cooker, would this be your favorite?
Doug, just to let you know, I just came back to this video to prep/ cook my whole chicken tomorrow (Thanksgiving) .. instead of a turkey. Needed a refresher how your chicken came out in the Foodi... couldn't remember if you had pressured first and then air crisped... Hope mine tuns out like this one just air crisping. Happy Thanksgiving to you and A.J.!!
To kick it up a notch. B4 doing chicken use apple juice peppercorns and some herbs whole. Whatever you want. But whatever you use will be what the inside of chicken will taste like. And vegetables add some lemon sliced on top of veggies.
Doug that looks great did the chicken already come that way before u added the spice or did u have to prepare it prior?
Ready to try this today!
That looks seriously good.
ty so much for posting
Doug u are the man, that bird looks perfect
You're making me hungry!
Looks delicious. Thanks
Awesomeness!👍🏽
Ahh I need one of these!
Thanks doug, I am not a very God cook but had a go of the recipe her in the UK I don't think we can get liquid smoke but did try bbq rub great job 👍
Amazon sell liquid smoke
Been debating whether to buy one or not....i think we will go ahead and pick one up...it does seem very convenient
Hubby, ordered me one for my birthday, fedex will deliver it today... I can’t wait 😊
How are you liking it? Do you use it often?
Impressed!
i have an instant pot but im getting a foodie too now, cuz that skin is CRISPAYH ! can't do That with an instant pot... thank you Doug : )
Damn that looks good... Lmao And you just made it sounds like it's off the chain.. Lmao
Can you tell me when to get all those cool accessories. The digital temp. The white ceramic pot etc for the foodi thanks
The ceramic nonstick pot comes with the Foodi. Not sure about the thermometer but they carry those at some grocery stores.
Your video was great!! The chicken came out juicy! It had all us so hungry.😂😂👏👏 The vegetables went perfect 👌 with the chicken. I will be trying this soon. I’ve had my ninja Foodi for 2 months. I loved it so much I gifted my 2 sons their own Ninja Foodi. And gifted my Uncle 1 for his birthday last week. I Love ❤️ it. Your videos inspires us.👏👏👏👌👌👌
Hey Doug, thanks for this vid. I am going to get an 8qt Foodi as soon as they become available on the Ninja site. I am wondering if it is a good idea to get rid of the water in the pot when switching from pressure cooking to broil so the food does not steam from the water/broth on the bottom in broil mode?
Sonic liberation, I’ve been using mine about two weeks now and I haven’t removed the water after pressure cooking and things still get crispy. I bet you could make some good gravy right in the foodi with those drippings! 😋
Did you do a quick release after you pressure cooked?
wow, great video. i just ordered one for myself
wow... looks great AND it didn't take much time at all!
I’m jealous of your kitchen 😂😂👍
My man Doug!!!!! 👍🏾👍🏾
Hey Doug how long did it take to cook the chicken.
Did you dump the water before Crispin Doug? Looks delicious 😋
Yes
Doug, instead of using the spatula you could’ve used the Ninja silicone mitts, grab the inner bowl and toss the vegetables. FYI. As always, you make great videos.
Great video
Hey Boo, your chicken looked like it would melt in your mouth. TFS👍👍
Hey babes, thanks for stopping by!!! How are you doing boo?😘😘😘😍😎
Doug, it’s been rough, but by the grace of God I’m on my way back. I went into Sepsis and I’m blessed to even be here.❤️
That chicken looks Awesome, I really really like it, It would come in handy for the Holiday, I think if I brought one I think my husband would think I have lost my mine, and he would go crazy lol not me I would be happy since I have 2 IP & 2 AF, But it is still very tempting lol, But I do like it, maybe I will try the chicken in my IP then transfer it to my AF, but oh boy so much work, when I can just use one pot Lol !! Thanks Doug for Sharing !!😀❤️😀
What was the total cooking time, including waiting for the Foodi to come up to pressure for the pressure-cooking portion of the cook time? I really like how my Bundt pan works as a vertical roaster for chicken -- but it takes 1 1/2-2 hours for it to cook through. A quicker method of producing juicy yet perfectly browned chicken would be most welcome!
Nicely done. Question: when you air fried the vegetables how long and what temperature? Keep up the great work.
🙌thanks...check this video out
ruclips.net/video/jhHyhaekV5E/видео.html
that looks awesome, but I missed the rotisserie part.
Ok, now I'm hungry! LOL
Wow !
Thanks Doug
Hey Doug, That looks better than Walmart chicken. !!
Chicken looks sooo delicious.
The skin one of the best parts... 😋
Been watching videos on this thing. Looks like a gadget is like. Only draw back is the air fryer lid has to stay on.
I think that’s to prevent accidents. Was watching another RUclipsr demoing the emeril pressure cook/air fryer (detachable) and it almost slipped out of her hand. Imagine the burns someone would receive touching the heat element
Just a suggestion. If you sprinkle the season lightly, you won't need to use the brush because most of your seasoning winds up on the brush.
I am curious of what the time difference would be for doing it this way or just in an air fryer. I don't know much about pressure cookers and how quick they are.
Same....40 min(20 a side)
I can almost taste it, yummo 😋
I did a five LB whole chicken with no issues - my family loved it
What did you use for time on the Pressure and then on the Air Fry
Really good video!
Our Ninja Foodi is going in our RV with us!
Going to try this recipe too!
Thank You for sharing!
What would the instructions be from frozen?
Looks tender I thought maybe it werent cooked cos it looked pink in parts but I realise that was just cos it was cooked so tender. X
I would love to have one of them ninja Foodies. everybody said they are good 2 cookie in wish that I could have would want I would get one I like watching you do you meals in it
Flipping the chicken without burning the daylights outta my hands was a challenge 😂
Hey. I got a question to ask you about that liquid smoke cuz I didn't seem to see it on the bottle anywhere but when you open that up and start using it how long does it last and do you have to refrigerate it once it's been opened
???
Yum
Looks amazing! I have a question. How do you know what temp and time to set it at? Does it come with a guide?
Experience :) but a meat thermometer would be very helpful
COOKINGWITHDOUG thank you
Winner Winner Chicken Dinner,Literally!!!! Could you have made gravy with the leftover drippings/cooking water? Hoping you make an updated Turkey Breast video using this device. Definite space saver for sure!!!
I LOVE Kick'n Chicken seasoning. I just used the last of mine today on some ribs. It needs to come in a bigger container 😑
I made this recipe. It was awesome!!! My son asked for leftover chicken before going home. My husband was arguing over how much he should take :) Now everyone is asking me to make it again. Thanks for sharing. Keep posting recipes for the Foodi. I love it!
C Lombard, Oh my gosh...you know they loved the meal when they fight over the ‘left overs’! 😂
It looks like you gave the chicken slightly more time crisping than the Foodi instructions call for (so I'll try to remember that when I'm cooking chicken in my Foodi). I also like how you were able to cook vegetables for a side dish in the Foodi while the chicken was resting. Did the veggies infuse with some flavor from the chicken juices which had dripped down into the main bowl under the crisper basket?
Well I dont look at instructions...been air frying and pressure cooking for over 2 years...but yeah if your just starting out plz read your manual :)
COOKINGWITHDOUG I've made ribs in my Instant Pot several times (different method than the one in the Foodi manual), but haven't cooked much else in it so far, so I will definitely be making use of the Foodi manual, esp. for anything involving the crisping lid, as I have never air-fryed before.
Can you also use the broil function?
Good job
All you needed was that melty cheese atop the veggies Doug!
