I did this, twice in one day. The chickens turned out delicious, just like rotisserie! And I afterwards used the bones from the carcasses for bone broth also in the Foodi! Thank you for sharing this!!!

Nice chicken! This would be a great way to cook chicken in the summer as well.

Tried this for tonight’s dinner. Worked perfectly! Crispy skin, super juicy and cooked to perfection. From frozen brick to better than restaurant results in 60 minutes.

These things are awesome! Got one for Christmas, changed most of the way I cook now. . . Try the pulled pork, incredibley good and the baked chicken is awesome. Hard to get juicy white meat and crispy skin in a one hour frozen chicken but this thing does it. EDIT: Buy a cheap roast, comes out great!

if you dumped out the water you would not need to turn it over designed to brown both sides in the pot

Thanks, Farmer Brad! Our power happens to be out tonight and we are running a generator so everybody is taking turns with the Ninja Foodie which doesn't use a lot of power. Nice sound effects for the lid placement problem!

Nice video. I have a frozen chicken I'm going to cook in my Ninja tonight. I cooked one before but it wasn't frozen. That was the first thing I cooked in my Ninja. It came out great!
Now I am wondering if my chicken has the giblets frozen inside and what to do if it does?

If your frozen chicken has the giblets inside, they're in a package of some sort usually. Paper or plastic, you wouldn't want to cook it still inside the bird. If it was me, I would pout boiling hot water into the cavity (with the chicken in a bowl, sitting in the sink), let the hot water loosen the package & remove it with tongs. Do whatever you do with your giblets (I like to simmer it all in some chicken stock with onions, garlic & celery to use to make gravy). Cook the frozen chicken right away, the way Brad showed. Don't let it wait till later. Good luck!

Hate to say it but that bird has been well over done. Temperature and times needs to be adjusted for that size of bird. It may have worked out better for a much larger chicken.

Farmer Brad thanks for the video. Did one for dinner tonight @ 360 because I didn’t want it to dry out. Came out great. Trial and error. This is my 3rd whole chicken but first frozen chicken. The first one it burned a little because I added butter for the air fry portion as well as cooked it at 400 degrees. 2nd came out perfect and so did this one. Didn’t buy it frozen though and I always, well 95 percent of the time, season my meat before freezing. I also didn’t turn the chicken (since it was pre-seasoned). Most of my cooking is done in the Foodi now. Such a game changer. 😊

@@FarmerBrad Nice for 1st try. Trial & Error. 1 thing...please clean out your pot after setting a frozen wrapped chicken in your pot. I'm just thinking of all the hands & what that bag has touched. I'm sorry I'm OCD. But then again if you're a true farmer that may not have come from a store. Carry on. Thanx for the video. It has inspired me to go stick my frozen bird in my foodi.

According to the USDA, it’s safer to destroy bacteria when you cook it. A recent study looked at people who washed raw poultry for a meal. Sixty percent had bacteria in their sink afterward, and 26% had transferred bacteria to their salad lettuce. The FDA Food Code recommends cooking chicken to 165°F (74°C). But the pasteurization of chicken is actually a function of both temperature and time. If you can hold your chicken at 145°F (63°C) for 8.5 minutes, you can achieve the same bacterial reduction as at 165°F (74°C). Unless you are cooking with something like a sous vide machine, in the home 165°F is the safest measure.
