Next time remember to remove the tool and deflate the air wedges before you open the door(Otherwise you risk warping the frame or damaging plastic components within the latch)

Jigglers, Lishi could be a alternative, pick, at the end of the day there just a waffer lock I'm no expert ..just a thought

100% I have one of these and the central door locking button is located on the lower side of the ICC

I find the boot open button next to the petrol flap button works quite well... Or the boot open button on the remote if you have one...
