Everything really just gets a lot more darker when you really think about all the stuff that would go wrong if Deku weren't around.

Giving Mirio One For All was a large part of the reason he was going to U.A., he just happened to run into Midoriya and made the decision to give it to him instead.

You know, I feel like the ending is purposefully misleading. Tis is just a feeling with no backing to it, but I feel like he turned that gun right back on himself and fired. That has more of an impact than simply killing the Symbol of Peace, after all. He hunted him down, captured him, and then instead of acting like a 'child' and killing him because of his emotions, he makes a statement and honestly hurts All Might more than death ever could. Imagine being captured because you said something with good intentions that ultimately caused nothing but agony all those years ago, and right when you think that you're going to die for it... You feel the warm splatter of blood on the back of your neck, dripping down ever slowly, and you don't understand, at first. You turn around ever so slowly, a sinking feeling in your gut; knowing on some instinctive level but not understanding what the hell was wrong and what just happened... Only to look backwards and see a teenager dead on the floor. All because of you. "Congrats. You killed him." And now the whole world knows it too. Deku certainly made a statement, didn't he?

Oh good lord, I am utterly enamoured with this video, especially Toshinori's smile at the end. It's all speaks of such tragedy and sadness. The pain that each character feels is screamed through each moment, each individual scene tells so much and broadcasts so much. Both characters are screaming their agony to the heavens. Until that final scene. All Might's final smile, it tells so much yet at the same time so little. The pain of Izuku is amplified tenfold in contrast to the lack of anything from Yagi, all hidden behind an iconic smile. As he said at the start of the series, Yagi smiles to deceive the fear within him. I feel like the smile shows how tragic his tale is. Even in the face of what he thinks is his death he doesn't know what to do, so he continues the one thing he knows. Yagi smiles because he's scared and he doesn't know how to handle it, so he has to smile and trick himself like he would with any other situation. The only thing he has left at this point, with his body frail and his mind clouded with terror, is the smile his beloved Nana Shimura taught him. The smile only gets worse when one sees how pained and broken Midoriya is. Here is All Might, in the public's eyes, the cause of a young boy breaking and going bad. This hero destroyed a boy's life and won't even give the courtesy of remorse or sadness, just his eternal smile. It's because of my love for this video that I wish to write a short videos the scene that could come after the conclusion of this video based on my interpretation of this beautiful work of art. We will be operating off of an alternate cannon devised purely by my own mind after just this video, so without further adieu, here we go. He gives a small triumphant laugh and mutters two words. Words that would ruin everything, not that he knew that. With pride in his voice he speaks through the viscous fluid. "I win!" Such a fool. There's no reply. Only a wet thud and the muffled noise of something dropping. His smile widens in response to the disconcerting sounds, it was an instinct he had developed long ago, and one that would only serve to worsen the situation. The broadcast cuts. He realises what just happened. Too late the smile falls, twisting into a look of anguish. God, he was screwed. All Might laughing triumphantly, his signature smile stretching disproportionately across a blood soaked face, it all made the legend look like a manic monster. The muttered statement of victory as the blood dripped from his face only cemented a new view of heroes. Their greatest and kindest hero was a homicidal beast, a monster that loved to hurt and kill. He broke a poor child and laughed at the aftermath. 'If All Might was like that, then what are all of the other heroes like!?' They all thought, terrified. Society came crashing down. That video was the start of a major paradigm shift. And the begining of the birth of a newer better world. A world built on the foundation of a boy who never could punish his tormenter, and payed the ultimate price. What do ya think? Is it over the top? If you read this then damn, good on ya. Being told: “You can!“ only to receive a “You can't.“ Attention. A hero has an “identity“. A face. To never receive a face... What other choice does he have, but to take it.

Someone so dangerous and homicidal because of the Symbol of Peace. By sparing all might, he killed him as well. Letting him live with what he has done and let it haunt him as he knows he’ll never be forgiven by Izuku. Even if Izuku is locked up, All Might knows that it’s all his fault. His five words destroyed a gifted young man. “You Can’t be a Hero.” is all it took. So maybe sparing All Might wasn’t a act of mercy but rather a vengeful act of pure cruelty.

It would've been so good If Medoriya was a villan with no power and the story revolves around him taming every villan killing heros.Call out the social weakness and in the end making him the most powerfull man without any powes And all for one power and one for all would be given to someone he controls
I love how the questions match perfectly with Deku’s predicament of All Might shattering his faith of being a hero and him turning out to be a skeleton when he was this mighty hero figure.
The depth of the emotions dark Deku tales bring out speak to the weight of the choice All Might made, he saved Deku that day and because he did Deku can save so many others, and it hurts to think about a version of Midoriya still waiting to be saved, but it's a kind of hurt we all end up seeking, because it resonates.
I can't stop watching this over and over again and i can't stop crying to this because seriously, if Izuku was a villain this is exactly how it would go and its soo heartbreaking.

Okay, so funny story. I saw this animatic years ago, back when I had no idea what My Hero Academia was about. I didn't even know what the show was called. If you think about it, you can't blame All Might for saying that Deku can't become a hero. Without a quirk, it is already hard enough to get into UA, not even counting the time that he needs to become a pro. With all those risks, All Might would have a reason to not want to put Deku in danger. All Might has been quirkless once himself, and it must've pained him to see Deku struggle, but it was the only choice he had.

Dabi burned the chair he was sat on to cinders, a single tear leaking from his eye. The best had touched him in a way no one else ever could, revived his long dead heart and replaced a shred of his hate with friendship. Tenko stood and decayed the television slowly, solemnly. Then he spoke, an almost silent whisper, carried by his hoarse voice.
"Never thought..... God's above, the kid said he was gonna do it, just never expected this. Please, let it be another nightmare, I want to wake up and hug him again. My baby brother. please...." The league sobbed deep into the night. Eventually they'd lead the future and bring the world Izuku would have wanted, but for now they collectively grieved for the soon to be martyr that was their dear friend.
Theresa of the world, since they had no personal connection to the boy, weren't affected nearly as badly. But the final minute of the broadcast was unforgettable. An iconic smile now soaked in innocent blood, the slow widening of the smile had changed it. What was once a comforting image now struck terror and rage into the hearts of Japan. All Might laughing triumphantly, his signature smile stretching disproportionately across a blood soaked face, it all made the legend look like a manic monster. The muttered statement of victory as the blood dripped from his face only cemented a new view of heroes. Their greatest and kindest hero was a homicidal beast, a monster that loved to hurt and kill. He broke a poor child and laughed at the aftermath. 'If All Might was like that, then what are all of the other heroes like!?' They all thought, terrified. Society came crashing down. That video was the start of a major paradigm shift. And the begining of the birth of a newer better world. A world built on the foundation of a boy who never could punish his tormenter, and payed the ultimate price.

To care about others, is to accept, that you will lose and lose. Without any reimbursement. Being Quirkless, is being worthless. Who cares about an ordinary person? If he does not have the power to succed, he shall have an ordinary life, with ordinary dreams. Why don't they care? It is because there are millions out there, who share that fate. Not acting up. Bleeding out.

If someone were to now paint the walls red. If someone were to show them, his hurt. His pain. His loss.
Who could bear it? Who could take it? A slight push away from madness is the one with hands dyed in his own blood.

So how would Deku feel like? Losing his goal? Probably just before he achieved it. Being told: “You can!“ only to receive a “You can't.“

Leon-Benjamin Jülg Or perhaps not killing All Might is the cruelest punishment Izuku can do. With this, All Might learns what he did to someone. Someone he failed to save. Someone so dangerous and homicidal because of the Symbol of Peace. By sparing all might, he killed him as well. Letting him live with what he has done and let it haunt him as he knows he’ll never be forgiven by Izuku. Even if Izuku is locked up, All Might knows that it’s all his fault. His five words destroyed a gifted young man. “You Can’t be a Hero.” is all it took. So maybe sparing All Might wasn’t a act of mercy but rather a vengeful act of pure cruelty.

The depth of the emotions dark Deku tales bring out speak to the weight of the choice All Might made, he saved Deku that day and because he did Deku can save so many others, and it hurts to think about a version of Midoriya still waiting to be saved, but it's a kind of hurt we all end up seeking, because it resonates.
Now your gone, and I am here...that line just fits way to well for Villain Deku.

I can't stop watching this over and over again and i can't stop crying to this because seriously, if Izuku was a villain this is exactly how it would go and its soo heartbreaking.
I just love that even though All Might knows that he is going to die, because his biggest fan is going to shot him he still smiles, to show everyone that's watching that things will get better, just not for him.

I actually wanted to throw up when All Might smiled. It just hurts I guess, I don't feel sorry for him, I don't feel bad, I just hate that he smiled like everything was going to be okay, I get it, it's what heroes do. They try and make others happy and feel safe but at that moment he should've been scared, not happy, not worried, just scared.
As he said at the start of the series, Yagi smiles to deceive the fear within him. I feel like the smile shows how tragic his tale is. Even in the face of what he thinks is his death he doesn't know what to do, so he continues the one thing he knows. Yagi smiles because he's scared and he doesn't know how to handle it, so he has to smile and trick himself like he would with any other situation. The only thing he has left at this point, with his body frail and his mind clouded with terror, is the smile his beloved Nana Shimura taught him.
The smile only gets worse when one sees how pained and broken Midoriya is. Here is All Might, in the public's eyes, the cause of a young boy breaking and going bad. This hero destroyed a boy's life and won't even give the courtesy of remorse or sadness, just his eternal smile. A tragedy only empowered by my personal belief that Izuku turned the gun on himself instead. Getting everything off of his chest only to kill himself afterwards.

If you think about it, you can't blame All Might for saying that Deku can't become a hero. Without a quirk, it is already hard enough to get into UA, not even counting the time that he needs to become a pro. With all those risks, All Might would have a reason to not want to put Deku in danger. All Might has been quirkless once himself, and it must've pained him to see Deku struggle, but it was the only choice he had.
