I am a 20 year old whose been on self improvement for many years. one piece of advice which many people miss: avoid the self improvement arrogance. when you say terms like 'normal people' this can quickly inflate your ego and slowly make you cold and a bully. never look harshly down upon people, unless they are evil or truly degenerate. everyone can self improve with time as you say. just make sure to keep ego in check. being a morally good human is the most important thing.
you didnt fall off, it's just been a while. cringe to say but come back and give it your all. besides, theres no going back now. dont wait outside the gym.
“Be strict with yourself, tolerate with others” stoic philosophy
Self improvement is one of those things where once you learn it, you can never unlearn it yk. For example, I was "off" it meaning I wasn't physically doing the action, but mentally I was thinking about it the whole time.
The thing is "self" improvement in the first place.... bragging about her unhealthy diet isnt mandatory bro
I think one extra point people tend to ignore is you have to be careful with your mindset on self improvement. It’s easy to get too wrapped up in it that your life becomes all about productivity and self improvement. I got to the point where I couldn’t enjoy vacations because “I could do more” and felt like I had to squeeze as much as possible into as little time as I could to make more out of my time. Productivity is fine but toxic productivity is a real thing. You can be healthy, productive and such whilst still making time to just waste some time doing whatever you’d like. Just be wary of tricking yourself into thinking you’re constantly improving when you’re potentially paving the way to a more discrete form of workaholism. It’s all about finding that healthy balance.
The only thing is, how do we get over feelings of hypocrisy?
This is literally for me
This is the only RUclips channel that makes me go "real"
Honestly love this guy bro. Its so amazing to see how personal these videos are, and how they make me feel that Ruff is a close friend - someone i've known for a long time - when in reality hes a stranger i've never met before. Really goes to show how unique every human on this earth is, and how they all live their own lives and tell their own stories. I don't even watch these videos to improve anymore; I just watch them because they're fun to watch and make me feel happy. Keep doing what you're doing bro, appreciate all the hard work 😁
Thanks I really needed this XD
Yo bro I know you’re proud of the journey you’re on, and I’m on a self improvement journey too, so I understand how different you feel yourself to be from other people.
Self improvement is a journey, but it's a lifetime journey. Having it become part of your lifestyle and continuously doing it even subconsciously is something that I really didn't understand before. Thanks for opening my eyes even more!
dude I swear, realizing that there are stages to growing is so important. like I recently told myself that we're similar to trees. we all start off as some itty bitty seed (that can be applied to all areas of our lives/personalities) and with the right amount of light, nutrients, water the tree can grow immensely. but it's about realizing that the tree will only grow as big as the gardener who nurtures it allows it to. this means the gardener needs to be a visionary and see beyond the current state of the seed into a reality where the seed is something greater. it sort of reminds me of how throughout history humans have done the impossible: paper, sail boats, coal engines, electricity, computers, wifi, ai, bluetooth brain.
Love this video! You made me realise self-imrprovement is for life! And you're right, most people are at stage 1. They don't even know the concept of self-improvement. Most of my friends are here, but I want to surround myself with those who are actively in their self-improvement game.
Bro, I love how you talk about this side of Self improvement its really helpful to me. I feel like this happened with my last friend group
I come back, rewatch these vidoes and think "this will motivate me to do this or that" but I just realized that the word motivate is really over used.
Thank you brother. I can see the value you provide to youtube. Keep going no matter what. This helped immensely.
I was starting to lack motivation, this really helped me out, thank you, brother.
