I just bought a Mumbai grip case it’s so comfortable playing in handheld mode now my hands don’t feel tired when playing my games now I absolutely love this case definitely keeping my switch in my mumba grip case from now on.
Your channel is underrated, why do most of the smaller channels have better production quality. Also, you have a more relatable point of view. At least for me. 💙
Mumba looks cool, well built and durable. Unlike satisfye and skull & co they look fugly, cheap and overpriced and wouldnt buy them if they are even priced at $5. Good review bud.
I recently bought the Thunderbolt grip case for my oled & to be honest with you, I absolutely love it. I prefer it over my Satisfye grip. Best part is, it only cost $16 bucks & that’s after tax. The satisfye was way more then that. The one downside would be it can’t be docked which I didn’t know at the time(was my fault). Since I really like the thunderbolt grip case I’ll be buying the blade today. I’m really hoping it has the same size grip & feel as the thunderbolt. 🤞
I have the battle series and must say that the grip isn't wide enough for comfortable long playsession or any, I haven't tried others though I know for sure that others are wider, in general, these are more of a protectors with an added minor grip.
Satisfye and skull & co are the only companies that make grips for truly large hands. I went with the satisfye grips only because they had rubber on the grips and they angle the right hand more than the left to give you a modern controller grip angle.
oooo I have the mumba blade. its ok. I still like skull n co but the mumba blade still does its job. but between the thunderbolt and the blade, I will choose the mumba blade because the grips are a bit bigger and the thunderbolt feels like its going to slip if im holding it with one hand
Ah fair enough! I found the thunderbolt grippier than the blade because it's like a tacky rubber whereas the blade felt more smooth plastic. I'd chose the skull n co over them though, reviewed them on the channel in the past!
Dockable, but Mumba basically renders one of the key features of the Switch OLED unusable! Use the Mumba and you CANNOT utilise the tabletop mode. Yes I can use the basic handled as long my palms don't hurt, yes I can use the dock... but why wouldn't I be able to utilise all the features after paying C$400+ for the newer Switch OLED with a better screen? Great job Mumba!
I just got mine, the black one you showed and I'm returning it. It does feel good holding my Switch OLED but, the volume button just pushes in to max and I can't even get the volume down button to work. And it won't charge in the dock, it just blinks once. I looked at the 3 holes, the charge port is centered but the other 2 holes are off by a few mm. And I noticed in your review your dock was not plugged in so I don't know if you ran into the problems I did.
Sounds like you had a dud unfortunately :( always a chance of manufacturing issues, mine doesn't have the button/volume issue. I docked mine before this video and didn't have an issue, just easier to show on camera with the dock unplugged.
I’ve watched dockable cases for the OLED in the past two weeks, and each reviewer fails to test the dock ability in the most crucial way, with it plugged up. It doesn’t matter if you just said it inside the dock, it may not be dockable. How to test if it actually plugs up and displays on the TV is if the dock is completely plugged up. I just checked out a Spigen switch OLED thin fit case and it was “dockable” but didn’t actually dock.
This isn't a review, it's a first impressions/unboxing. Reviews come after a period of testing time, which will happen in the future and I'll test exactly what you've pointed out.
Skull n co master class. Best case. Price and customer service is the best. 50$ for the grip case with all the grip sizes and spare parts. A travel case that fits switch and grip case. It can't be beat. Plus my trigger tabs got messed up they immediately sent replacements, just had to pat shipping 5$. Every other case is a waste of timw.
horrible cases, i have used both and compared to skull & co, mumba offers garbage products for dumb prices, the best option for any consumer, is to directly order a bundle from skull & co for their switch grip and carry case need, they wont be disappointed at all, the mumba grips dont help with impact protection at all, the grip doest feel secure in hand and the plastic does tarnish and turns yellow with just a few days of usage
Whilst I agree the Skull & Co grips are amazing, I've reviewed them on the channel, I feel you're being a little harsh on the Mumba. At least to the Thunderbolt, yeah if it does tarnish yellow as I discuss in the video then that sucks but it will help with impact as it's a thick rubberised material and it'll certainly protect against scratches. Drop with no case vs drop with the Thunderbolt, I'd take my chances with the Thunderbolt. None of the Skull & Co cases have impact protection as they're either plastic or very thin TPU. As for "dumb prices", what? Full price isn't extortionate but, on sale, Less than £8 for a protective gripcase? That's not dumb, that's aiming their target audience at those with very little money. That's 50% cheaper than the Skull & Co's when they're on sale. As for the Mumba Blade, I agree this offers little to no impact protection. I'd take a Skull & Co over that for the same price point due to more choices of grips etc.
@@128KB try their over sized carrying cases with loose cartridge slots that are just not made well and youll see, at msrp, skull&co offers a better deal for cheaper, i payed 40$ for grip and carry case for skull&co vs 65$ for the mumba case and grip, also if you search all over aliexpress, youll realise mumba doesnt actually manufactures those grips and cases, their just rebranded mass manufactured generic grips you can find for 5$

Blade is perfect, and with the carry case it’s a great fit for travel no complaints from me.. there might be better but this does the job perfectly
Glad you enjoy it
I just need a case that has all these features
-grips
-can remove controllers, preferably 3 parts
-original stand is not obscured
-dockable
Congratulations on the video, it cleared all my doubts. A hug from Brazil

Nop it's still not wide enough and the inward angle makes it awful to aim the right stick

O.m.g, you guys! I've been looking for something like this for awhile! 💝
Awesome! I haven't spent a lot of time with them yet but so far they do seem pretty decent! :D
Satisfye for me when I want to uses the Joycons, when no using those I prefer play handheld with the iine Joycons
Yeah I'd agree with you!
which one is lighter? also would the lighter one be lighter than the skull and co gripcase?

Very cool thanks 💙🌼
You're welcome
Amazing video like always. What grip case apart from the satisfye case would you recommend?
Ty bro it really helped
You're welcome
sharp edges are uncomfortable for long term use
you tried docking it on old switch dock and you didn't plug it on tv? you lost me there! lol
The USB connected fine, won't be an issue
@@128KB yes it has! Bought this case and returned it because of that issue. Please be honest man

No way I'm giving up my split pad compacts with controll freaks snapped on for this
Oh for sure, this is just for those that maybe doesn't have a grip or joycon alternatives at all.

Skull & Co is better.

Skull and Co sales guy?
this mumba grip is absolutely trash. not dockable and poor plastic quality
They are good and stylish in my opinion. Satisfye and skull & Co are overpriced, feels cheap and they look fugly.
dont buy... flimsy, switch may detach and fall
Stop changing your voice cos it isn’t cute but annoying!!!
