You hung there for a long time. I am 61 and I have only had the courage to take my first dose today after watching a lot of your video's. I just hope I don't get the palpitations, I have a history of panic attacks and I don't want to feel like that. Thank you for all your encouragement
Hi there! There is some crucial information about Ozempic that I must share with you. The results of a 2021 study were just released two weeks ago and surprisingly the media did not pick it up. The University of Arizona did a huge study with data from insurance companies that included millions of people. What they found was scary. In men and women under 45, Ozempic protected them from developing Multiple Sclerosis. Good news for them. But in those over 45 and in women, the likelihood of developing MS was found. That included both early and late onsets of the disease. Diabetes and MS both have auto-immune malfunctions, in that the auto-immune system ravages the body. It basically attacks itself. Being well over that age I am not taking any chances and getting off the drug. I have only been on it for a few months and oddly my weight has stabilised! Plus I have been getting nosebleeds the whole time. Nosebleeds are not listed as side- effects and perhaps ought to be. They come on with no trigger and are especially difficult to stem. I was never one to get them prior to taking Ozempic. I also have one lazy kidney that empties slower than the other, so I don't want to aggravate it any longer. Back to Keto and exercise. If you are reading this and are over 45, please discuss the results of this crucial study with your doctor! Be well. healthsciences.arizona.edu/newsroom/news-releases/1122/new-study-identifies-connection-between-diabetes-medications-multiple/sclerosis😅
Hi you are such an inspiration to me, specially since I am experiencing heart palpitations-rapid heart rate and my blood pressure is high. I am glad I came across your informative videos- this all happened right after I injected ozempic. It’s interesting I have had problems with it for about 9 months and slowly they become worse. I am stopping altogether. I would like to ask you how long approximately it took for the heart rate and palpitations to normalize- my blood pressure has slowly increased while I have been on it- not fun at all. Thank you for this video- I am seeing my doctor tomorrow.
30lbs for a woman is huge especially if you have hormonal issues. Be proud of yourself! I found your channel researching agents to help with cutting, you've helped me a ton! I hope your journey continues and you keep progressing, thank you for sharing!
As a guy I lost 20lbs in 2 months over the summer Just counting calories, exercise bike 6 days a week for 1/2 an hour to an hour with Alpha Yohimbine/Rauwolscine and Cardarine which is a PPAR agonist that promotes weight loss and balances out your lipid profile.
@@JazenValencia Good for you. Some women have hormonal issues which make weight loss impossible without the right medication, or at all. also not everyone has a bike or can afford those medications sadly. Especially in USA
I’ve been on Ozempic since Aug 12th(2021) and I’m down 30lbs!! 😊 I’ve changed my diet but I’ve done no exercise whatsoever. I’ve had some nausea and constipation but it just comes and goes. For me it’s been a great tool. **UPDATE** I took Dec and Jan off due to some health issues(not related to Ozempic and started back again sometime in Feb. Total weight lost now 45lbs and I feel great :) ***EDIT*** I’ve lost 63lbs in total in the year I’ve been on it. I’ve successfully been maintaining that weight loss and I am happy where I am at!
That’s incredible! You are awesome! Congrats on becoming a healthier you! I need to lose an additional 50-60 lbs in order to have hip surgery, and I’ve hit a plateau. I’m praying for a way to change my mindset to get over this hump.
@@Rebelrose1111 Started on .25mg for 4 weeks, then .50 for 4 weeks, and have been on 1 mg ever since. I’ve now lost 58 lbs!! 😊 I have hit a plateau so my doctor is upping the dose at my next refill.
I'm 68 years old. I love your candor. There is no magic bullet for weight loss. Even with meds like Ozempic, you have to weigh the cost/reward. Ozempic hurt my stomach so much I returned to Victoza for my T2D. Best wishes on your weight loss journey/diabetes journey it will be life-long Peace
I have been on Ozempic for 6 months and lost 70 lbs. I had undiagnosed insulin resistance. I did change my eating habits immediately to a 1000 calorie intake. Began increasing my walking because that was the only thing I could do at the time. If someone is not willing to change their eating habits and lifestyle nothing will help them. Ozempic has changed my life.
@@DavidBrackett385 Yes, you may experience some episodes of feeling like passing out, also sometime you will have feeling that if someone has punched you from side and you kind of figuring out your orientation while this happens like dizzy and kind of motion sicknessy!! if that make sense.
Thank you for putting yourself out there and sharing your experience. By the comments, it’s clear that you have helped many navigate the muddy waters of diabetes management. Sorry some people feel the need to be negative and lamely focus on a body part instead of your health gains. You look fantastic (now and before) and it is very clear that you are smaller in your after photo. Keep being your amazing, authentic self! 💕
Oh my gosh, your video is soooo helpful, I was getting ready for a heart monitor because I've been pretty scared waking up every night from heart palpitations and pulse of 92!! Turns out it's my ozempic side effects, thank you!
I just started Ozempic from Wegovy...Results will vary for everyone. The diet changes def. help as well. Thank you for sharing your journey with us..30lbs doesn't sound like a lot but there are so many of us that haven't been able to do that!
Thank you for sharing your experiences with us. While everybody is different you sharing the side effects you suffered gives us knowledge. So we can make informed decisions about our own care.
Weight loss is never easy or moderate, it took me almost a year to lose 75lb and that was in my mid 20's. I dieted and started jogging slowly from 0 to 2-3 miles, I weighed in at 320lb and finished at 245lb. So in short keep positive and remember keeping the weight off is never ending you have to be attentive to your health.
I was diagnosed with Type 2 in April 2021. I started taking Ozempic in June after watching your videos about it. I did get the nausea at first but it wore off quickly. I’m taking the full strength dose (1mg?) and I am seeing great benefits. I’ve lost 45lbs. My A1c is down in the ‘normal’ range (5.6% from 7.4%). My blood sugar levels are pretty flat unless I eat something really dumb (boba tea was the most recent one). I figure I will stay on it until I reach my ideal weight and then consider my options. I am eating a low carb diet with a goal of 30g/day. I am also doing intermittent fasting with 16-18 hours of not eating each day. I felt truly terrible back at the beginning of the year and now I have energy again. I can sleep through the night. I want to exercise and move again. I’m sorry it didn’t work for you and I hope you find something better. Thank you for sharing your experience as you helped me make up my mind to try this. I appreciate you and you are beautiful just the way you are 💕🤗
I'm sorry to hear you had problems with Ozempic, I hope you can get an alternative figured out soon. (And, you can definitely tell you've lost weight!) I have been wanting to thank you for so long (I am so awkward about posting!) You've helped me so much!! I was afraid to start Ozempic because I was terribly afraid of the side effects. In fact, I had the pen in my refrigerator from Feb. to May. At the end of May my A1C was 10.4, and I found your videos. You inspired me to get started and made me less nervous about it. So far, no bad side effects and my A1C is down to 6.0. So, thanks for the inspiration I really appreciate you! Also, I'm planning to make your pumpkin muffins (maybe tonight since I finally got all the ingredients) which I'm super excited about! Good luck to you with the meds.
This was so nice to read. I am suffering terribly with many things caused by me being 338 lbs at 38 yrs old and immobility it has caused. I’ve always been overweight but also always been an active overweight. My brother once called me “football fat” - like a large linebacker. Big but agile and easily active with energy. I thought that was funny an apropos. But now, after second baby at 34, and enduring a horrible back injury I need surgery for but need to lose weight to recover properly…. My fat ain’t funny nor football. Point is, I probe to nausea and general GI distress that is just horribly debilitating. I’m already half a good mom and employee and wife because I’m so big right now. I can’t give them all less by also being sick as heck from Ozempic. I need to just try it. Bite the bullet. In an effort to do that I have been doing something I never do nor recommended anyone do. Go to the internet for hep, answers etc. internet is great starting point but no one should only know anyone or thing based on just online or parasocial experiences. However I just don’t have anyone around to talk to and mostly to listen to regarding this matter. Your comment gave me a jolt of excitement. Someone else afraid to start OZ, went online seeking answers or assurances, and at the very least found the push they needed and now having results. Thank you for sharing this. Truly. If you would be willing I would love if you could tell me anything or a lotta things about how it went when you started. Did you get super ill? What remedies worked? Did it go away? Was it like metformin sick? Or anything you think you would have wanted to know or hear. If not then just thanks for commenting to the vid creator at all and know your comment helped give me a lil hope and push me a lil more to just opening the fridge and grabbing the pen 💉 not food. Thanks
This video is so helpful, I've taken just one dose of Ozempic and I feel incoherent, heart palpitations, breathlessness, etc...I won't be continuing. And you are right, these are not listed as a side effect.
I've been taking Ozempic for about 9 months. I've lost 40lbs. I was already 40lbs overweight before the Pandemic and then I gained a nother 30. I have also been dieting and exercising. I still have 40lbs to lose. I haven't noticed any side effects at all.I plan to stay on it until something better c omes along or I reach my weight goals.
30 pounds is GREAT girl. Continue to be proud. You are so positive, so kind to share, and so sweet!!! Thank you! I’m starting today and am very scared. Thanks for being there for myself and others.
You are doing amazing things and are a great inspiration to all of us trying to make better choices and live a healthy life. You are beautiful and glow from the inside out!
Thank you for sharing your story. It’s very brave of you. I have a hard time sharing my health information with my family, I could never imagine posting it to the internet! So thank you so much for making me feel like I’m not alone!! I hate asking this but could you keep us updated on any weight loss/gain since you’ve stopped taking it? I want to take it with intention of getting off of it but I feel like the statistics show it’s hard to keep what you lost off. I think if anyone could do it, it would be you! So could you please keep us updated. Thank you again!!
Yes! I plan to do a video about what happens when you stop Ozempic, but I can say that 4 weeks off of it, and I’m continuing to lose weight (pretty slowly) and my appetite is still pretty minimal. I’m also curious after taking it for almost a year! I’ve wondered if you stop taking it, and you basically go back to where you started. I haven’t seen anyone talk about it, so I’ll be sure to keep track!
@@TheHangryWoman I can't wait to see what you've got to say about your "detox" from Ozempic and how it affected your body. Specifically, the weight loss you experienced while taking it: if you are to continue with your "while-I-was-on-Ozempic" lifestyle, will you start to feel hungry again? Even if you continue to make smart food choices and exercise, will the weight come back? Will you be able to eat larger quantities of food, and, as a result gain any weight? TBH, it's a majorly attractive aspect of this drug, it's almost alluring, and people seek it out because of this (myself included). I want to know if your body will go back to its 'Set Point" (Google it!) because typically after the stimulus for weight loss is removed, the body reverts to its set point. Unless you work your ass off for the rest of your life to keep your set point as low as possible, you'll gain most of the weight back. For the sake of the strategies you implemented, diet changes, and having endured the awful side effects from Ozempic, I pray that the weight stays off. Personally, I don't think I can take this drug FOREVER, right? So when I stop taking it what will happen? It's going to be extremely insightful for the community to have a true, unfiltered narrative of what occurs when you stop this medication. Thank you in advance for all the work you put into making these videos. They are extremely helpful. -E
Sad that your doctor did not do a magnesium blood test. Because extreme low levels people will experience heart problems (irregular heart beat aka arrythmia, palpitations) and anxiety attacks. The warning on all those injectables is paralysis of the digestive track (think intestinal blockage of rock like poop, severe constipation) Which magnesium keeps the peristalsis working. (Muscle movement going downwards along the digestive track).
Wow girl! You are an inspiration! I love how I open and honest you are about what works or doesn't work for you. And 30lbs is a huge accomplishment! And anyone who says they can't see a difference is blind! I totally see it! You're beautiful. I wish u nothing but the best on your weight loss journey!
Thank you for these videos - I watched four of your Ozempic videos. I'm getting ready to start Ozempic, pending approval from my health insurance. I'm a Type 1.5 diabetic - currently using an insulin pump. I had lap band surgery in 2008 and lost 85 lbs., then regained some of it because I listened to my family - they said I was "too thin." My doctor suggested Ozempic and I'm ready to give it a try. Your videos have helped my evaluation process and I feel more prepared to start and succeed with Ozempic. Thanks again!
I'm really sorry that anyone had any comments to say about your body. I hope it goes well for you! It's supposed to work especially well for LADAs since we still can produce a tiny bit of insulin. I feel like my experience was not the norm, but I wanted people to know. I'm so glad it helped, and I wish you luck with starting it!
No idea if you have tried, but palpatations can also respond to electrolytes, in particular magnesium (which is also really important for diabetes). Simple way to improve intake is epsom salt baths as topical means you can avoid the degradation from the digestive process. Magnesium is one of those things that is used up quickly in the body
guys they make magnesium pills that are prefectly fine with the exact DV in them mag salts and such are not regulated you should just be careful. Even Himilayan sea salt has impurities in it that need to be refined out, trust a lab gals! All love xx
I suffered the same heart palpitations and magnesium (calm powder) before bed saved me!! I’ve been taking it for 8 years and I will never skip a day. Hope this helps someone.
Pre Ozempic I was on long and short acting insulin with Metformin. After 2 months on Ozempic, I’m no longer able to take any of the medication as I was experiencing hypos. I’ve noticed that the Ozempic has worked wonders on your insulin resistance as you have started getting lighter. I hope you find the right medication for yourself!!!
Thank you for this. I just took my third 1.0 Ozempic dose. I don’t know the A1c change yet but I’m losing a pound-ish a week. No real gastro problems in comparison to the Rybelsus, which was an absolute gastro nightmare.
Hi. Omg. Rybelsus was horrible , I agree. That little pill is ridiculous. My doctor who gave it was an ass. She thought I was lying about that pill making me sick! And water poop
@@peakiyawashington Metformin eve yoga e me huge problems too. Has been ruining my life. Hoping and praying the Ozempic is better 😐I certainly wish you well!
@@monazimmerman7559 I agree, that Metformin is horrible. The Ozempic has really helped me. My glucose is down so much. Even my hypertension is regular. Best of luck to you
@@peakiyawashington Thank you SO MUCH! 😅So you have not had the gastric nightmare on this? Because if this is like the metformin, I dunno what I’ll do.
As soon as you said "A side effect not listed as one but...." I KNEW YOU WERE GOING TO SAY HEART PALPITATIONS!!!! I have been on "Wegovy" (but using Ozempic bc it's 75% cheaper) and the first side effects I had were nausea and HEART PALPITATIONS. I am glad you posted about this.
30 pounds is great! I am down 12 pounds on my 10th week. The lack of eating worries me a little but my blood sugars have been great. I have issues with the double chin then realized it was there in my first baby picture.
I was taking Ozempic. I just stopped last month because I had to have emergency gallbladder surgery due to gallstones, the dr said it was due to losing so much weight so fast. Everyone be safe and I’m so happy it worked for so many ❤️
I had my gallbladder out when I was 22. They told me at the time it was from having a baby and hormone changes. I have several friends that had to have it removed within 2 years of having a baby. Maybe weight loss causes hormone changes too.
Yes, about 15 years ago, I went from 290 pounds to 135 pounds, in one year…just lowering calories, working out, and drinking only water. However, it was such a strict diet, it was never sustainable. I did have to have my gall bladder out at that time though. I’m now back up to that 290 pounds, 43 years old, and not motivated to do it again, so my doctor is going to be setting me up with a dietician, and ozempic. I’m looking forward to it.
Fast weight loss causes gallstones. I’m on Ozempic (8 weeks - 4 @ .25 and 4@ .5) I hardly eat more than 5 or 6 bites per meal the first 2-3 days after injection, a little bit of nausea, some hiccups). The rest of the week I try to eat as I always dd before switching from Janumet to Metformin and Ozempic, (less the terrible sweets I couldn’t let go of) because I don’t want that fast drop. I lost 100 lbs in 8 months on the Dr Bernstein Clinic (Canada) and now have one really big silent gallstone so I know from experience not to go too fast. It all slowly came back but 20 lbs when I stopped. I floated in the high 6s in A1c. Now after 8 weeks I’m at high 5s. If I can’t handle side effects when I move to 1 mg, I will stay at .5. My sugars are really good now. That’s totally worth it. I lost a little weight, too fast, but I’m trying to slow it down. One large silent gallstone isn’t a problem. More could be.
I already had gallstones when I started ozempic. I did not want my gallstones to become symptomatic so I started taking Ursodial. It is supposed to gradually dissolve gallstones. It is recommended for people who have symptomatic gallstones that who are not good candidates for surgery. I was not yet symptomatic, but since I was starting ozempic, I did not want to tempt those little stones into acting up.
You are doing a great job! Keeping in touch with your body is important. Noticing your heart palpitations is so important. You look good and it shows in your face.
I just started Ozempic on Saturday. My sugars have been on point! However, I have also been doing the work, eating healthier, moving around more, etc. One of the first things I noticed was the brain fog lifting. I didn't realize it had gotten so bad until it was gone. I compare it to when you get glasses for the first time. You don't realize how bad your vision was until you can see clearly.
@@missbeaussie yes. It wasn't a drastic change at first. It improved as time went on. I'm still taking ozempic, and it's still working for me. It affects everyone differently though.
Oooooh! My brain fog has been so bad this last year. COVID last August, and I hadn’t been taking any diabetes meds. I am now on Metformin and just took my first dose of Osempic. I am hoping for the best! -Paula
Thank you for telling your story, I have been on Ozempic for about a year now and I do have palpitations and shortness of breath, but never thought it could be the Ozempic because I am a lot of stress and I love that drug. OMG 😳 Thank you and thank you 🙏
I just found your channel and I'm really glad I did. I have Type 2 and it feels lonely sometimes being relatively young with a condition that normally affects people twice my age. Thank you for showing me that I'm not alone! Also I wish there was less of an emphasis on loosing weight and dieting because it's important, yes, but honestly medication and getting my ADHD treated and my stress under control did a lot more for controlling my blood sugar than the 50 lbs I lost over three years. Oh, and I've been on both Ozempic and Trulicity. I started on Trulicity, it made me constantly sick to my stomach so last year my doctor switched me to Ozempic, but unfortunatly it did the same thing but didn't help with my blood sugar nearly enough. So now I'm back on Trulicity. It's actually not nearly as bad now as it was before so hopefully it will stay that way. Thank you again for sharing your story and I hope Trulicity works for you!
Please share how you feel and all is going if you are comfortable. Looking for a push to get mine out the fridge and just start it already! 😂 Even if you having an awful time I would like to know. Again, IF you want. Sorry to ask if you are not comfy with me even asking tho. Thanks ✌🏽 + ❤️
Oh my gosh I got heart palpitations on mounjaro and quite it when my body completely freaked out once I got to the high dose of 15 mg. I was on it for 7 months and lost 60 pounds. I do suffer from high blood pressure. It runs in my family so it’s hereditary and not all of my other family members are overweight like I am. When my body freaked last February my life was completely turned upside down. I had to go to the hospital twice in one week because of a heart palpitations. I couldn’t eat anything I was vomiting I had diarrhea I had constipation I mean it was like every bad symptom all at one time and I had the worst panic attacks of my life so I chalk it up as a total mental breakdown shortly after that break down, which lasted for about two weeks, my hair started falling out. My hair is still super thin. My doctor just put me on a medicine for blood pressure and it’s also for hair growth. Listening to this video I was just blown away because of very few people to none ever say that these type of medicines cause heart palpitations usually it’s either constipation, nausea or diarrhea, but never any type of heart irritation. I also had my heart checked and my heart is completely fine so after that 15 mg and the breakdown I had went off at completely for like six weeks and I started rapidly gaining weight back, so I started off on the lowest dose again 2.5 and right away. My heart wasn’t as bad as it was before but I start getting a little palpitations again which were annoying and scary so I stopped it so I repeated that like about a month later, and it happened again and I stopped, and then I completely stopped Monjaro. So as of today before watching this video, I started ozempic and I started on the lowest dose. I gave myself my first shot. I do take blood pressure medicine that is supposed to relax my heart and block any type of adrenaline so I’m hoping that it does help enough that I do not start getting crazy heart palpitations again. But now I’m a little bit nervous because I figured since Ozempic is a little bit different than Monjaro that I might be safe, but it sounds like I might not be. Sorry for the run-on Text. I talked it all. Also I am type 2 diabetic.
I was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes because of heart palpitations. They wouldn't stop. Blood work and a cardiac halter for 2 days revealed that it was diabetes. After getting medicated and eating right, the palpitations stopped. Fast forward 3 years, my 2nd Ozempic 0.5mg dose and the day after, the palpitations were back. Just for the day, but it was a difficult day. Thanks for letting me know I'm not alone.
I'm heading to my 4th dose of Ozempic and I'm experiencing those same side effects. I see my doctor next week and I'm going to ask for another medication. I'm experiencing the side effects on .25mg. Thank you for sharing. I thought I was the only one experiencing those side effects. I pray you will find the right medication for you and your blood sugars. Good luck
I found you channel 3 months ago when I started Ozempic for weightloss. I’ve been overweight my whole life (im 26) and I have already lost 20lbs in those 3 months. Thank you for your videos, they have been so validating for me, especially since my friends don’t see this progress as ‘real weightloss’. For me Ozempic has cut my appetite a lot, so I think this is how it made me lose weight so quickly. I hope I can keep it off, since I never could in the past. If anyone is reading this, don’t let your skinny friends discourage you from trying it, they CANNOT understand what it is living as a fat person, especially a fat woman. Do you💘
Oh my gosh I just went to the cardiologist last week for the same Thing and did the same test and the doctor said my heart is fine, but I have the heart palpitations also. This is my answer. I have only been doing it for one months same amount of time I started ozempic. I am quitting this medication. This has scared me So much I will quit. I truly thought it was menopause. Thanks for sharing this.
Currently taking ozempic right now, fast heartbeat is listed as a side effect in the pamphlet given with the medication, also you should have done an EKG or holter monitor to see if you had any palpitation irregularities. I work in a doctors office and see this all the time
Around the 3rd month of taking it last March, I mentioned feeling the palpitations to my doctor, as well as having a note from my Primary Care doc that an EKG showed mild sinus tachycardia. I also had a heart ultrasound (that I talked about in my 6 month video that came back normal, despite the sinus tachycardia). I know now that Ozempic causes this, but I asked 3 times and he said “this hasn’t happened to another patient, and it’s not something I could find in the literature.” My endo is great, but I literally had to beg to be taken off of this medicine. And lots of the commenters here have had a similar experience. That’s why it’s important to keep speaking up. I got told at least 3 times it was my anxiety. Even a good doctor can be wrong.
People are such goofballs on here, you absolutely look like you've lost weight, you look great! I found you because I started taking ozempic/wegovy for weight loss and you've helped me so much! I don't even have diabetes but I watch all of your videos and I find them to be so helpful! Job well done! I hope you do better on the next medication. (Also, I've seen a couple of people on semaglutide forums who have definitely complained about heart palpitations, so you're not alone there.)
Thank you so much. That really makes me feel better. We are of course, our own worst critics. So glad you told me about the semaglutide forums. I want to dig a little deeper on those experiences. Thanks for watching!
I'm going to the doc on Friday and will be requesting Wegovy. If she won't give me the script for it I do have a weightloss clinic that will but would rather go through my dr. How has it been for you? I don't have diabetes either but have gained a tonne of cov weight.
@@stacyr5134 when my doctor prescribed it the pharmacy called because she prescribed for weight loss instead of diabetes. They said it would cost over $1000 a month because insurance won't cover for weight loss. GoodRx shows about $850.00 a month. She fixed it so it's for diabetes which I have. I don't know what others insurance is like though.
@@SparkingLife111 I went to my nurse practitioner and said I have heard great things about ozempic. She had taken saxenda (spelling?) But wasn't familiar with ozempic. But she was excited to read about it for me and herself! I just took my 5th does this week and down 8+ pounds with very little effort so far. Loving it. Some people say Thier insurance won't cover. But mine did and praying it continues. Again, do some reading and ask with confidence, your PCP wants you to be in control of your weight and HEALTH. If doc won't write your Rx, maybe you need a different (better) doc! Untreated obesity is killing America, killing you.. and Killing me too!! Go for it and best wishes!!
Wow. I want to give you a big hug. It sucks to have side effects to something that was helping you. I understand not wanting the heart palpitations. I remember being on these diet pills when I was about 18 and everyone wanted me to skinny and beautiful , but the pills accelerated my heart as well and I wanted OFF. I haven’t had a chance to focus on my health until recently (I’m in my 30s) and I was actually just prescribed Ozempic (that’s how I found you!) and I’m just looking at what people have gone through on it. I’m older now and I want to be careful with what I put in my body. Your videos were so inspiring, I hope you find something that works for you and I send you love and patience kind stranger on RUclips!
Thank you so much for sharing your Ozempic journey. I’ve recently started taking it and it is so nice to be able to watch your videos and hear directly from someone who has taken it.
Congratulations Mila! You are brave. I quit after 2 weeks for most of the same side effects and reasons. I agree that I should not have to feel worse on a medication before I feel better. My throat still feels full and it’s been about 3 weeks since my last dosage and my ENT doctor has ordered an ultrasound of my thyroid to be safe as most know thyroid cancer is also one of the side effects of Ozempic. I struggled with weight loss my A1 C1 was always good. I will just stick with the good ole diet and exercise . I’ve never taking insulin. I’ll stick with my daily pill.
I'm sorry that you were experiencing those same symptoms. I really hope you feel better, and that you're able to manage your blood sugars in the best day for you.
Yes I agree good old diet and exercise and I stop eating sugar and that helped my A1C levels from a 12.7 down to a 6.7 in about 9 months no meds at all I cut out sugar, white bread, white potatoes, white rice, I know every one is different but that’s what helped me.
I am going to stop ozempic too because of side effects. Am coughing, having breathing, shortness of breath a strange anxiety that won't let me sleep. Feeling nervous all day. Disappointed because it lowered my blood sugar and helped me lose weight.
I just took my first dose of this medication 2 days ago. So far no side effects. My mom also started about two months ago and she said that it gave her slight anxiety. I hope that doesn’t happen to me, I already have anxiety as it is. I’m taking it for my type 2 diabetes.
I have just started it but my endocrinologist told me to NOT overeat little and often I was told stay on low GI foods and very low carbs .. he told me if I eat too much I will be sick so far I have been fine so I think it’s altering your diet also it all works together . Good luck for your future x
Thank you so much for sharing. You are transparent, motivational, and thoughtful. I've been using Ozempic for 5 weeks and I as a cautious person I was thankful to find your videos. Thank you
I've been on ozempic 0.25 for about 2 weeks now. I've been having a very easy time with it. The first dose I took I had a major reaction to it. I have IBS but this caused me to have to run for the bathroom with the worst case of explosive diarrhea I've ever had. I was like that for about 2 hours. Then I was also slightly nauseated but never actually got sick. Of course I also started an antibiotic at the same time but I don't usually react to antibiotics like this. Since that day I've had no more side effects. I will be taking my 3rd dose tomorrow night. I'm almost wishing I could up the dosage tomorrow. I'm impatient. While it's early yet it seems I've lost about 3.4 pounds so far which certainly isn't much but it's a healthy weight loss. I have definitely noticed the effect of satiety. You get full fast. That's actually gotten me into trouble because I'm used to reading my sugar level, calculating my insulin dosage and then eating my meal. Problem is after taking my insulin I would find I couldn't finish my meal and then I would end up with a sugar low and would also be too full to eat or drink anything else. That hasn't happened everytime but frequently enough to be problematic. The amazing thing I have noticed, it is clear that it's had a definite improvement upon my sugar level after waking. Ordinarily, if I don't eat right away after waking my sugar level will start to climb. But now it helps me to maintain my sugar levels within a safe range. And I feel better. I have a very long journey ahead of me. I'm in this for the long haul. I have approximately 200 pounds to lose. I am too disabled to exercise. I have numerous comorbid medical disabilities that prevent it including fibromyalgia, arthritis, a muscle spasm disorder, carpal tunnel syndrome and diabetic neuropathy all of which severely limit my mobility. On top of that I have severe asthma and COPD. I also have hypothyroidism which makes it difficult to lose weight. On top of that I take multiple medications which list weight gain as a side effect. I have type 2 diabetes and am severely insulin resistant. I only eat 2 meals a day, breakfast which I have a bowl of cereal and supper which I have a sizeable piece of protein, vegetables and a carb such as potatoes or rarely rice or pasta. I may or may not have a snack such as probiotic yogurt and fruit or a small serving of potato chips or ice cream. I can't say how much better I feel since starting ozempic. It gives me hope to hear of people who have lost 50 or 60 pounds. I need a medical scooter but my case worker through provincial disability has been fighting me tooth and nail. She's even ignoring a court order to provide the disability supports she's been ordered to provide. I am about to make one last appeal to the disability program to honour the scooter and lift for my car to carry it where I need to go. Then I'm going to go to the local media and lodge a complaint with the human rights committee and speak with a lawyer. My hope is to bring my weight down to a sufficient level and have the scooter so I can start swimming which would be the best form of exercise considering all of my disabilities. If I can't get anywhere with fighting for my special needs equipment I will need to try to set up a go fund me. I would love to hear back from some other diabetics regarding the impact that ozempic has had on their diabetes. Oh and one other side effect I had the first week? When people warn you of sulphur burps, believe them. Hahaha🤣😂🤣😂
Thank you for posting this clear, honest recount of your experience. I have been on ozempic for 10 months and it has brought my A1c down better than anything else I’ve tried except keto (keto was as effective but keto was so hard to stick to). Ozempic has only caused me to lose 10 lbs so I think the weight loss is overhyped by the media. But the .5 mg starter dose immediately raised my resting heart rate by 20 beats per minute. Now I’ve been on 2mg for about 6 months and my heart also races randomly throughout the day. It feels terrifying. I wake up from deep calm sleep to find my heart rate is 125. My Fitbit keeps congratulating me for completing my weekly strenuous activity time when it’s just sitting quietly on the subway with my heart beating out of my chest. Your description is accurate. It feels so deeply scary! I also went to a cardiologist, I also did an echocardiogram and halter monitor and was told my heart is okay - it’s not irregular just extra beats - PVC. But the racing heart feeling of imminent death shoots my anxiety through the roof and definitely keeps me from exercising at all. When it feels like you’re running a marathon when you’re sitting on the couch you don’t want to walk across the room let alone hop on a bike! So, I’m thinking of asking the doctor to step down my dose because I want to keep my blood sugar down but I don’t want to feel like I’m dying all the time. Thank you again for posting! Oh, I’ll add that my cardiologist suggested the ozempic may be recalibrating my asympathetic nervous system and I definitely think that’s at the root of this side effect. Best of luck to everyone out there struggling with their blood sugar! ❤
I have observed the same 2 months in, my Apple Watch reading on my heart rate have been as high as 127 bpm. Going to try and hold out to my 3 month check up in October. Your contact is super helpful and very much appreciated. Keep up the great work, you look beautiful.
@@TheHangryWoman I have just finished 2 months now I will give it a month or two and see how it goes 🙃. Trucility was even worse for me tremendous high heart rates, and bad vomit, diarrhoea, headache etc. For me ozempic is more manageable. Good luck with your next treatment 👍
I have heart palpitations on trulicity. I came across a video on YT made by a cardiologist speaking about gastrocardic syndrome, the link between the stomach and the heart. how the heart is in close proximity to the stomach and when the stomach is full (like it is for extended periods of time with these meds) it can press and actually shift position of your heart. Also a full stomach can compress the vagus nerve which is the body’s natural pacemaker, which also triggers heart palpitations. No idea if these could be the cause for my heart palpitations but I believe it’s definitely gastro related as my heart itself is fine. I was told about weightloss benefits of trulicity but I haven’t noticed a massive uptick in my weightloss, I feel like it would have been more profound if I was still overeating because then it would have helped curb that, but at the point of starting I had already gone from 270 lbs to 147 lbs so had been eating in moderation for a long time. Goes to show also weight isn’t the only factor for T2 diabetes like too many people believe it is, i didn’t have high blood sugars when I was bigger, I lost 120lbs and maintained weight loss over 5 years and then got diagnosed this April with a a1c of 12!
I quit Ozempic too... had been on it for 3+ years and never got substantial results. I think my body got used to it. Was on the highest dose 1mg x 1 week. I got worried that my stomach would remain slowed down and i would have issues down the road. Going to a new dr next week for weight loss counseling. I've been off Ozempic for about 5 months.
Thank you for being so honest & authentic, your journey has been eye opening and super helpful! Love your honesty, it comes through...ty for putting you out there to help all of us..xoxoxo
So sorry to hear you had this as a side effect. I am upnto 2.5 and other then a little naseaus I am ok. Down about 55 pounds so far. Been a little stuck lately but hoping to see the scale drop again soon. Hope you feel better!!!
Ozempic is a wonder drug. Two weeks ago, I reached my goal weight of 150 pounds, and my A1C is 5.0. I have no side effects on a .50 mg weekly dose. When I was on Trulicity, I had heart palpitations and hives at the injection site. Nine days ago was the last time I injected myself with Ozempic. I want to see if I will maintain my weight loss. I have so far because I increased my weekly exercise, and I eat a moderately-low carbohydrate diet. In fact, my morning blood sugars are getting lower. I average about 83. On Ozempic, my average was about 87. I think that the increased exercise is helping me. This morning I am getting blood work done, and I will see how the doctor feels about me weaning myself off of Ozempic. He thought I would gain the weight back right away. I can’t wait to see his facial expression when he sees that I haven’t!
I will say I’ve been off for 3 weeks and heart palpitations, chest pain and shortness of breath are gone. I know it’s different for everyone. As soon as I started, I had those symptoms, and as soon as I stopped it, it took a few days, but things balanced back out. If you are concerned, keep pushing. You know your body better than anyone.
I quit Ozempic 5 weeks ago because I found out I was pregnant. I was doing really good though. Started in May, changed diet, and started going to the gym. I lost 40lbs from May to July. I was on 1MG. Mid July I fell off taking it because my granny died and I just kind of fell off everything. In August I had a pregnancy scary but early September when I finally was like ok back on track now I found out I was pregnant for real. It’s been crazy lol. I feel so bad now though I was doing so good I could’ve made it to my goal weight by next year. But, I’m excited to see my baby next year too so there’s that 😂
I took one dose of ozempic and was in the hospital an hours later for chest pains, increased heart rate, and non stop vomiting and nausea. This medication is definitely not for the weak. I’ve only taken one shot 3 days ago and I’m already down 9lbs but this was really hard. I don’t think my family would appreciate it if I took another shot. The emergency room doctor stated that anyone who has these symptoms should stop immediately. But then my primary care doctors stated it’s a normal thing after the first shot 😒🤦🏼♀️ so I don’t know who to believe but I know how I felt and it was terrible! 😂
"for the weak" makes it seem like it's a natural thing like walking or vitamins lol. This is a superdosed medication originally designed to to treat severe diabetes patients when they noticed the side effect of weight loss...again it was a *side effect* that people could not eat or hold down food or want to drink water. They tweaked it up to 11 so they could market it and sell it....reminds me of the cancer drug that gave women LONGER EYELASHES that they just market for that reason despite the myriad of side effects! Lol drugs especially artificial ones will always come with tons of side effects but I personally find constant diahrrea, neasea and projectile vomiting as well as a much higher risk of thyroid cancer...? like for what? I'd rather enjoy food, water and life. Yes, not being able to drink water is a common side effect. This drug is scary to me! I just read the full breakdown on WIRED and I'm glad to be informed but people are just jumping in cause the Kardashians did it, since when were they the pictures of healthy living? I wish we didn't live so image based. Women shouldn't have to go through this to be accepted in society. And people shouldn't be pressured into this drug or to stay on it if they're endangering their health. There are worse things than being fat. Ofc it's helpful for diabetes, which is what it was intended for. Please don't gamble with your health! Everyone wants to be thin in our society but there are much more important things, IMO!
I had the same exact experience on Ozempic. Within the first few weeks of taking it, I developed severe palpitations and tachycardia and my heart rate went up over 100 bpm even at rest. My doctor advised me to stop taking it for a while, and when I did my heart rate returned to normal. After another month I attempted to go back on Ozempic, and sure enough, withing a few weeks the tachycardia and palpitations returned. I was very disappointed as the Ozempic was awesome at helping me lose weight. Now I have to wait and see what else my doctor recommends.
thank you for sharing what should be written about Ozempic's side effect but heart issues cant be found, its strange as it reads its supposed to help in reducing heart attacks, yet it raises the blood pressure. Its sad in these modern times we have to depend on each other for advice...lm going to fix my a1c with safe diet, and thats better for my heart and diabetes...
@@hudaa2468 Once I stopped taking Ozempic my heart rate went back within the normal range in about two weeks. A month later my doctor had me try Ozempic again, just to verify it was the cause of my fast heart rate. Sure enough, within a month my heart rate shot back up, and they could see it on the EKG. The manufacturer knows this possible side effect, and you can find more information by googling Ozempic and tachycardia. I hope this helps.
@@JodyRivers yes, my heart rate has gone up too. Especially when doing a light activity like cleaning. It’s kinda concerning. I stopped a week ago. I hope it goes back to normal soon.
@@hudaa2468 Yes ma'am, your heart rate should return to normal very soon. The best thing to do when you notice it is to sit down and take some deep breaths. My doctor taught me a simple exercise which really helped slow my heart rate down quickly. It is a simple 3-step process. Sit quietly in a comfortable chair. Step one: Breath slowly through your nose for a count of 8 seconds. Step two: Hold the breath for a count of 8 seconds. Step three: Exhale the breath out for a count of 8 seconds. Repeat 5-10 times. You will feel your heart rate quickly slow down, and this also works wonders for heart palpitations as it directly stimulates the Vagus nerve. Please let me know how you make out.
To the horrible comment that was made shame on that person. I am happy for you losing 30 pounds. Diabetics have a hard time losing weight. You have to be just as active and eat healthy. She was doing that, but it was more important for her to control her diabetes! Good job @thehangrywoman!
Thank you Mila!, You were correct. Today was my second dose of Trluicity and I did it myself. Thank you for your vote of confidence and all the information you share here!
@@TheHangryWoman Yes it's very scary! Ya feel like you're dying! And the doctor want you to keep taking the pills! I stopped and I feel better than before!
You are inspiring me so much. You speak with such self respect and from an intelligent balanced place whereas myself and so many women I see would do ANYTHING- self torturing, painful, just to lose weight or follow the crowd Love ❤
Your videos have helped me so much! Thank you. I'm so glad you feel better in your body and the way you feel. It's so encouraging to see blood values improve!
Thank you! I have PVCs, which is a type of arrhythmia. It has been fairly well managed, but my doctor recently added rybelsus to my diabetes treatment. It's the pill for of ozempic. I started low and was fine. 2 days after starting the normal dose, I started having severe arrhythmia and dizziness. I felt like I was dying. Every third beat was a PVC, which feels like a stutter or hiccup in your heartbeat. My doc still wants me to take it. I stopped and immediately my heart beat stabilized. This is a side effect that needs to be recognized!
How do you feel now? Have you restarted it? I rarely ever had pvcs and I took ozembic for about 3 months before I started having them pretty consistently. I'm not sure if it's due to the ozembic or not but I'm trying to hold off on taking any more doses for a while. But it helped me lose weight and now I'm so sad :-(
@@bethfoster5649 My PVCs started so suddenly when I increased my dose. I was sent to a cardiologist who immediately told me to stop because there's a little known adverse effect that it can interfere with the electrical conductivity in the heart. Because I already have problems with PVCs, he said I never should have started the medicine, however not many docs know about the issue. About 6 weeks after stopping the Ozempic/Rebelsus my PVCs have returned to normal. I have them, but only feel maybe 1 or 2 a week! With the Ozempic/Rebelsus I was having severe PACs actually, not PVCs and atrial fibrillation. It was more than half of my beats per minute. Really bad. I was faint, I was gasping for breath, not good. Because they are prescribing this med like crazy, I really think more people need to know about this. I was very close to having a heart attack. I am back to taking Metformin only along with Berberine, a Chinese herb that helps with my blood sugar without side effects.
Laura I have PVC also. Did you take the Ozempic injection? If so was it the smallest dose .25? I'm supposed to start it tonight, but I'm a little nervous about it because of heart palpitations. My PVC has been well managed but I don't like feeling those palpitations.
@@bethfoster5649 It took about 6 weeks to get back to normal for me. My cardiologist won't let me go back on it, and I don't think I'd want to try it again. Super scary for me!
@@ericafernandez5568 I was also on the smallest dose to start. I literally took just one dose before my heart started going crazy. PVCs, PACs and, it turns out, atrial fibrillation, which I had never had before. I felt like I was going to die. 1 dose was all it took for me. It was a very gradual return to normal over about 6 weeks of monitoring by my cardiologist. I will never go back on it and just wish more doctors were aware!
I stopped Ozempic after six weeks. I’m T2D, diagnosed two years ago right before my 30th birthday. I will resume Ozempic the beginning of next month, but at 0.25, the 0.50 was too much for me to handle. I couldn’t even keep water down, ended up at the ER on an IV. However, my A1C went from 7.6 to 5.8 and I lost 16lbs during that duration. Hopefully things go better on the lower dose consistently. I did try Trulicity when I was first diagnosed, but I was overwhelmed and scared, I quit immediately. I wouldn’t do that now, which is why I stuck it out with Ozempic. I hope it works well for you. Your videos are the best, and you look incredible. Stay well sis! 💕
Thank you for sharing your experiences with Ozempic! I was just prescribed it to manage my T2 and stumbled across your series of videos. They have been extremely helpful and calmed my nerves. Now I know to keep a close eye on palpitations. And lastly, I’ve subscribed to your channel to continue learning from your journey. All the best to you with T1.5
The lowest I have ever weighed as an adult was 155lbs and I was 5'9" tall. I was a lean muscular man, and guess what.....I had a chin flap. My Mom and Dad both had double chins. Double chins don't mean your over fat in all cases. Having a full face is often genetics not being fat.
Sis u look absolutely gorgeous!!! And shame on all the bullies that need to keep on scrolling if they don't have something good or uplifting to say!! U worked hard for that 30 lbs you lost and I think u look amazing!! I am about to start Ozempic today and hopefully I will benefit from all the positive results that u have. All of the info u have shared here and on your channel have helped me and u have helped to give me the courage to go ahead and start it. I've had the meds for 10 days and have been so scared to try something new. But like I said u have helped me ALOT!! SO THANK U 4 THAT!! Please keep sharing your journey with all of us. And please know what a big difference I can see in u through out your journey so far!! I pray that this new medication helps even more and no more heart palpitations In Jesus Name!! Good luck and God bless u!!
I’ve been on Ozempic for about 5 months. After, dialing back the dose , several times and then moving forward again, I’ve been able to move past the GI problems and such. But, it’s been hard. I’ve lost about 28 lbs, which I’m very happy about. However, in general, I’ve felt particularly bad since beginning this med. I’m extremely tired, increased episodes of narcolepsy and just feeling , overall pretty bad. I’ve continued to take the 0.5 weekly dose, but it’s coming with a price. . I wish I felt better. It’s very hard and has been life changing. I’ll continue with it because I want to lose 10 more lbs and keep it off. Stop the shot and the weight will come back. No more appetite suppression.
@@lifeiseverything9 , I thought it had been 5 months . But, it’s been about 4. I’m off blood pressure meds. My A1C has gone from 9 down to 5.7. Weight down from 148 to 118. I’m only 4’11 so need about another 10 lbs to lose . All bad side effects are gone now; thankful .
So far so good for me I’m on 1.0 of ozempic, once a week I have been on it for a year and have loss 70 pounds , I have been using portion control, and it does curb my appetite , I have no side effects , so far, I went from using U500 insulin , to to now being on U100, my Blood pressure has gone down, I am please with it and will continue to used it . I’ m sorry it didn’t work for you take care and I wish you luck!
Perfect, job well done, as you mentioned and i could not agree more, it is ozempic+portion control+some exercise, this lady is clearly playing a victim here
I'm so glad! I was really freaked out when it was happening to me and there weren't a lot of answers. The heart palpitations sometimes felt like I was going to die (not even being dramatic!)
I’ve been having heart issues as well and just left the cardiologist. I didn’t think it as the one pic but this is a new condition since starting the medication
Omgosh I am just coming across this video. I thought I was going crazy! I also started getting heart palpitations on ozempic. Thank you for making this video!!
Wow the same thing has happened to me. I've been taking Ozempic for weightloss and when I increased to 1 mg I've been having heart pounding and rapid heart rate. I went to the ER and they said my pulse was fast but all my tests came back normal. My doctor told me to decrease the dose back to 0.5 which im sad about because its been very effective thus far. But the heart side effects just aren't worth it.
Hey Mila, I had to come off ozempic too for one month due to constant sickness and diarrhea, it was ruling my life ! My diabetes nurse thinks it was lowering my blood sugar too much, just back on ozempic again at .05 dose and here we go again, vomiting and diarrhea restarted, after 3rd dose, stopping for one week to try n settle then restarting on the ist dose of .025 ,see I go,I didn't have the side effects so bad and it works at that dose to suppress appetite too.and my aic was where it should be. So just want to say, thank you for your support, love your honesty, and beautiful personality.❤❤
Thank you so much for this kind comments, and sharing your experience. I'm really glad to hear that it's helping you, and getting you to a place where you're happy and healthy. Wishing you the best health - you've got this!
I was waiting on more information about ozempic before trying it. In the meantime, I quit virtually all sugar, takeout, and fast food over the past 4 months. I have lost over 50 lbs in that time. It’s a very involved and mindful approach but the results are there. The weight loss is starting to stabilize, but I’m seeing consistent progress. My doctor has reduced my hypertension meds by > 50%. I hope someone reading this finds this helpful.
"I generally eat what I want" "I don't want to diet" "If you're not willing to do the work" What is wrong with people? Taking medications for things they can manage themselves without the medications and their side effects. Ozempic is going to be trouble, it already is becoming trouble. Many diabetics and hypoglycemics can manage their condition entirely through what they eat and how they eat. Exercise feels good once you get used to it. See a personal trainer who specializes in weight management, tell them about your condition. See a dietician who specializes in blood sugar issues, tell them about your condition. In other words, do the work. Turning to a quick fix is not the answer folks.
Perhaps you have answered a "million" comments similar to mine, but "YOU DO YOU" isn't really much of and answer. Your RUclips video here is featured in a Katie Couric Media article which puts you out there and looks a lot like "worrying about other people", giving advice, and doing more than just you doing you. What makes you or Katie Couric an authority on the subject any more than I may be? My concern is that as time goes on, especially in this country, more and more people are turning to medications to address heath concerns they could manage themselves without the medication while becoming more healthy in the long run. It is also becoming more and more common for said medications to be prescribed off-label, which in a lot of cases, as is with Ozempic, is considered by many doctors to be both dangerous and irresponsible. But as you say, you go ahead and do you. I wish you luck in trying to cheat the system of work and discipline with a quick fix.
I have just started on Ozemic. It is my 2nd month and so far so good. It has been amazing for the blood sugars and my appetite. I had no idea what it felt like not to be hungry all the time. It is amazing. The day before or the day of when I should take my shot I start to feel hunger again but not until. I am really proud of you because you have an amazing attitude. And you are so easy to listen to about everything. I do have a product I use to help with my double chine. It has taken about 90 days, but I can really see the difference. Let me know if you are interested. Hang in there girl, you are doing great!
Yes, I felt that was the first time I took it 2 years ago. I stopped it twice and current back on it for the third time. As of this week the breathing issues came back so I going to stop it again this week. 🙏
This is my second time around w/ ozempic and now I remember why I stopped taking it to begin with! I literally feel like I’m going to die after only one does I’m DONE FOR GOOD.
I did mention to you a few months ago about the side effects that I've had with Ozempic both the first and on the second go round with the drugs. I am on the my third round of the drug within the past 2 years. I did lose like 10 to 15 lbs but im not over weight so I look super slim. I wasn't concerned about my weight but was more about my high blood sugar. Just this past week my shortness of breath just started coming back again so im going to reach out to my doctor about stopping it this week and trying something else. Both times when I stopped it I used Trilocity but wasn't as effective if I remember correctly. Im willing to give it another try because the short of breath is very bad. Orginally when I told my doctors 2 years ago that I couldn't breath they said that wasn't one of the side effects. I said its not listed but it is because every time I stopped taking the drug it would go away. The side effects for Ozempic takes a while to go away, it stays in your system for a few weeks. Its a great drug but can harm you in the process. Well keep us posted on your Trilocity journey. Your doing such a great job educating others. ❣
This is a great validation of how I have been feeling and experiencing the same symptoms. It was very subtle but I did notice my resting heart rate was increasing during the initial weeks of starting Ozempic. As a very active senior I found that I was becoming exhausted more than usual during my workouts. I also noted my heart rate was spiking rather dramatically during certain exercises. Then one day during my usual routine, my heart rate rapidly shot up to 157bpm, and would not decrease for several minutes. Over the next few weeks it remained high even during walking on the treadmill, as high as 129bpm. I usually never get above 100bpm while walking. I monitor my heart rate with a chest strap which is very accurate and linked to my phone for constant monitoring. Looking back over the weeks at the data It had clearly recorded a steady increase in cardiac rates. Further more during research I found little information on this phenomenon caused by Ozempic. It took sometime to actual find medical evidence on this not so well known side effect of this medication. In order of acuity these are some of the side effect I experienced personally (1) Exhaustion Daily (2) Nausea & Stomach Pain (3) Blurred Vision (4) Constipation (5) Loss Of Appetite. (5) Rapid Heart Rate & Irregular Rhythms. (6) Joint inflammation in hands. Weekly dose 0.25 mg for a period of 8 weeks. Ten-days after ceasing medication side effects started to diminish. Thank you so much for this video it had been a great validation for me..
after you stop it did u still have palpitations? i only took for 2 weeks 0.25 and it makes my heart beats more than normal and have palpitantions and panic atacks
@@andreiruxandraandreea4815 That is a great question. From what I understand the longer you stay on the medication it can take anywhere up to 5 weeks to rid the system of all the medication. In your case, being on it for a short time, should be somewhere around 7 to 10 days. It took several days for my side effects to subside and a further 7 days to feel back to normal. I attended the gym today and had a heavy weight-training day. Average heart rate 95 - 100. so things are coming back to normal. My MD mentioned today, many of her patients on Ozempic experience the same symptoms and usually stop taking it. Speak with your MD regards the side effects and see what transpire. Myself I feel much better off it. I took it for diabetes not weight loss as some do.
Thank you so very much for sharing your journey, I stopped taking all diet meds because my heart was doing the very same thing I went to the emergency room and doctors told me to stop all diet meds because my heart couldn't take it .I'm happy you are healthy and safe.
Good luck, l have enjoyed listening to your Oxempic videos. What scandalises me as a European, French living in England is how much you poor Americans have to pay. As diabetes is a long term illness, all medication is free for us, even without extra medical insurance. I would have thought President Biden would have passed an equivalent law for all the Americans suffering from long term illnesses. And pregnancy care, which again is free in Europe. To go back to Ozempic, in my case, beyond good A1C's and weight loss, what has been great for me is to be able to move. I was crippled with athritis (I'm a grandma) and my weight prevented me from cutting my toe nails, tie my shoes, etc. Within a month I could bend and I am now after 2 months able to start walking. Thank you again for your videos. You are gorgeous, and l love your fancy glasses!
This has worked for me. After 15 years on Humalog and Lantus I switched to this 6 months ago. By the 3 does I was completely off Humalog, 1st does I was off Lantus, and after 6 months I went from 280lbs down to 210. I did changed my eating as I wasn't hungry as much. After the 1st 15lbs it motivated me to go to the gym. Wish this was available the a long time ago.. I was lucky an got zero side effects. Dr started me .5 for 1st 2 doses after that went to 1 and that's all I needed. My goal was 205lb in a year. Ill go way pass that but Ive started to bulk now with muscle
I was doing great on Ozempuc, but around the 10th doze I started getting really sick like a bad stomach flu. It would ease up after about 4 days but then start back with a fury. After about 3 more doses, I figured it was the medicine. I've been off of it about 2 weeks and am finally feeling much better. It really helped me keep up my weight loss at a good pace, but being so sick, it just isn't worth it. I do take Metformin also.
Did you consider going down on dosage? Do you think it was the metformin and the Ozempic together? Did you get sick on metformin at first or at all? Sorry to pry but the nausea is scaring the crap outta me and I do t want to start Ozempic but need to…. Idk just looking for info and community to some extent I guess
THANK YOU SO MUCH! I have been hospitalized twice with tachycardia since starting Ozempic. I am currently on a heart monitory. I skipped my last dose of Ozempic and my heartbeat normalized on day 10. I have been wearing the monitor for 3 days and will take my dose tomorrow and see if the tachycardia comes back. I asked my doctors about this side effect and they stated it was not possible . . .
It's rare, but definitely possible! Our experiences were the same. I took a year break from OZ and the tachycardia went away. I re-started, after that year, and have actually had a lot of success.

You hung there for a long time. I am 61 and I have only had the courage to take my first dose today after watching a lot of your video's. I just hope I don't get the palpitations, I have a history of panic attacks and I don't want to feel like that. Thank you for all your encouragement
Hello, you spoke about getting off ozempic and it relating to wanting to get pregnant in future... What is the connection there?
Be well.

Thank you for your kind comment ❤️.

Total weight lost now 45lbs and I feel great :)
***EDIT*** I’ve lost 63lbs in total in the year I’ve been on it. I’ve successfully been maintaining that weight loss and I am happy where I am at!
Same hun I bet you look incredible!
Thank you to be honest
and share your experiences.
That’s incredible! You are awesome! Congrats on becoming a healthier you! I need to lose an additional 50-60 lbs in order to have hip surgery, and I’ve hit a plateau. I’m praying for a way to change my mindset to get over this hump.
Congratulations! What mg did you start on?
@@Rebelrose1111 Started on .25mg for 4 weeks, then .50 for 4 weeks, and have been on 1 mg ever since. I’ve now lost 58 lbs!! 😊 I have hit a plateau so my doctor is upping the dose at my next refill.
I'm 68 years old. I love your candor. There is no magic bullet for weight loss. Even with meds like Ozempic, you have to weigh the cost/reward. Ozempic hurt my stomach so much I returned to Victoza for my T2D. Best wishes on your weight loss journey/diabetes journey it will be life-long
Peace
I have been on Ozempic for 6 months and lost 70 lbs. I had undiagnosed insulin resistance. I did change my eating habits immediately to a 1000 calorie intake. Began increasing my walking because that was the only thing I could do at the time. If someone is not willing to change their eating habits and lifestyle nothing will help them. Ozempic has changed my life.
Agreed, you’ll always hear that from me - there is no magic pill that substitutes the work.
Congratulations on your hard work. Really good job.

I love your straightforwardness and willingness to be vulnerable..good luck on your journey!
Congratulations on the 30lb weight loss. That’s quite an accomplishment!

Thank you for putting yourself out there and sharing your experience. By the comments, it’s clear that you have helped many navigate the muddy waters of diabetes management. Sorry some people feel the need to be negative and lamely focus on a body part instead of your health gains. Oh my gosh, your video is soooo helpful, I was getting ready for a heart monitor because I've been pretty scared waking up every night from heart palpitations and pulse of 92!! Turns out it's my ozempic side effects, thank you!
How long after you stopped ozempic did you heart palpitations stop ?
I just started Ozempic from Wegovy...Results will vary for everyone. The diet changes def. help as well. Thank you for sharing your journey with us..30lbs doesn't sound like a lot but there are so many of us that haven't been able to do that!
I lost 30 from July on ozempic. It’s great. I’m so much less hungry
Right. I'd love to lose 30 lbs!
Hi Chere, my a1c is high, what other tips you have to achieving 6% a1c?

Take my advice, I'm not using it.
Exercise. Even a half hour walk a day will make a big difference.
Thanks
So many side effects. Dizziness, fatigue, headaches.

@@jeanne2b2b22 you are so on point here👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

Magnesium salts from the dead sea in the bath, or at least the feet.
guys they make magnesium pills that are prefectly fine with the exact DV in them mag salts and such are not regulated you should just be careful. Even Himilayan sea salt has impurities in it that need to be refined out, trust a lab gals! All love xx

Yes. I had mine removed bc of my birth control. The hormones can screw up your gallbladder. So can rapid weightless.
You are AMAZING!!!! Thank you for taking us on your journey.

I just started Ozempic on Saturday. My sugars have been on point! However, I have also been doing the work, eating healthier, moving around more, etc. One of the first things I noticed was the brain fog lifting. Are you still on it? If you did get off, did you have palpitations after getting off?

30 lb loss in 10 months is pretty amazing considering the low dose that you were taking. I hope you find relief from the palpitations.
Good luck
How are you feeling now ?
Do you💘
Oh my gosh I just went to the cardiologist last week for the same
Thing and did the same test and the doctor said my heart is fine, but I have the heart palpitations also. This is my answer. I have only been doing it for one months same amount of time I started ozempic. I am quitting this medication. This has scared me
So much I will quit. I truly thought it was menopause. Thanks for sharing this.
Did you get any blood tests done? Thyroid levels or CBC?
I just started last Saturday. Thanks for sharing your story and keeping us updated.
I know now that Ozempic causes this, but I asked 3 times and he said “this hasn’t happened to another patient, and it’s not something I could find in the literature.”
My endo is great, but I literally had to beg to be taken off of this medicine.
How did i get a script for ozempic to help lose weight? What did u say bc i know if i ask for it i wont get it
I'm going to the doc on Friday and will be requesting Wegovy.
@@TheHangryWoman you look great Mila, thank you for this video.
did you ever get some answers? I have the full feeling x
I’m starting soon. I am grateful for your honesty and sincerity thank you. I hope you are well.
Thank you! I hope you get it figured out. I know that higher heart rate can feel uncomfortable. Thank you so much for watching!

I am also suffering with high heart rate heart beats, but my high sugar levels have now almost gone
@@lifeiseverything9same thing happened to me. Great blood sugars, and even some weight loss, but my resting heart rate was through the roof.
@@TheHangryWoman
I have just finished 2 months now I will give it a month or two and see how it goes 🙃.
Thank you so much!
I have always said to my cardiologist that food is trigger for my SVT and now atrial fib. They always blew it off. Thank you for posting this!
Wow!! Congrats!! Huge accomplishment!! That is so awesome!! I'm starting Ozempic today!! Wish me luck!!
did your palpitations continue after discontinuing trulicity?
@@vincev.1104 I’m off trulicity now, I haven’t had heart palps for months

The heart challenges are what I'm afraid of, thanks for sharing this part of your journey.
I started having palpitations too an my DR told me it was stress!! An my ultrasound was clear too!! Thank you!!! So comforting. It's frightening.
But, I’m excited to see my baby next year too so there’s that 😂
I really enjoyed yr video you speak with such honesty and sincere. Keep going don't let any block you. 🙏🏽🙏🏽❤️🙂
Stop and try something else please. I hope you are ok
A friend of mine said the first shot made her feel sick and and etc its a side effect but it gets better...lol
I would trust your primary care doctor tbh.
I don’t like E.R. doctors because they’re just trying to rush you out. 🙄
Believe your body and how you're feeling. The best thing is to stop it if you're feeling sick on this medication.
I have lost 42 pounds on ozempic. I am taking for the same thing as you. I have been lucky with no issues.
How long have you been on Ozempic?
How long until your heart rate went down?

O wow, thank you for sharing. Sending love, light and all things healing your way.

I've answered a million comments like yours. YOU DO YOU. Stop worrying about other people. You are not the authority on anyone else's body.
Thanks for these videos, very informative. I just started on Tuesday and somehow down 5 pounds already. Hoping to avoid the side effects.

I took Ozempuc and it made me beyond sick. My A1C did improve but I felt like I was going to die..
Thank you for sharing your journey with us. It has really helped a lot of people.
Thanks for saying this. I really appreciate it.
