I like my large soft plastic lures to run a little on their side to simulate and injured fish. Worked great for me for Pike in Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark and here in in UK.
Drill a tiny hole in each segment on the bottom and glue in a small tungsten split shot. I brought some segmented hard swim baits from wish and they all ran on their sides. After adding a split shot to the underside of each segment they ran much better and also had a slightly more aggressive action because of the extra weight
My dad got me some and I’ve only got one me bite from a large mouth after that I noticed they was swimming on the side when it got up to shallow water or if I was swimming it on top
The baby bucca bull shads are probably the best budget swimbaits you can get, the action is just so good and everything about them is quality... although because I watch tacticalbassin I change the hooks one everything... thx Matt... and they now have a baby bull Gill on some websites...

Hey Brendan, you should come up to Minnesota for a video, I’m only 13 years old and I’ve caught over 700 Pike up here, almost every lake has a good population of Northern Pike and stocked Tiger Muskie, I’ve caught 12 Muskellunge only this year, and those swim baits will work extremely good, I really like those long swim baits I think those will work really good. Enjoying your videos, ever day after school I watch them so keep it up!

@Fishing and Freedom Fiend sure they do... you also have to oil them, and take care of the leather... they’re also like 14 inches long... maybe not more often but if you get one it’s gonna be big. The new ones are over $1000

I have the 3 pack of the truscends that look like small pike and they worked really good for me pike fishing last year
I just bought those, haven’t received them yet, but I’m hoping to catch Tiger muskie and bass with them. I’m glad they work well.
For the soft plastic swim bait try using a non slip loop knot. I’ve used a few similar ones and the loop knot helps with the side swimming

For soft bait use sinker or can add wire lead winding it to a leader
There's a way to tune lures if they're going sideways,simply bend the line hole sideways and see if it improves

My nephew caught his PB Walleye on the Sucker one.... in Wisconsin.... the Blugill one is also good..... you just need patience!
They are phenomenal baits, just be sure to change out the hooks. The hooks rust and straighten out on bigger fish.

The side roll can be a good thing. The lures can act like a injured bait fish.

Certain lure making websites will sell swim bait blanks for cheap
Next time go to aliexpress and pay half the price you would pay on Amazon. The jointed baits that use nylon for the joints don't last past a couple of nice fish. They deform.

I have some other versions of those multi jointed baits. They wiggle good out of water and look good out of water but then when you real them in you feel the regret of buying them. Waste of money for these gimmicky lures. Any of your usual baits catch more fish!

Those particular Truscend lures are crap. They don't sing and they don't swim well. The ones w the weights in the belly however are fire
