Why would you say that Elvis threw a chair at Priscilla? In her book, she said that he threw a chair but not at her. There were records laying on the chair and one of them flew off and hit her. He did not throw a chair at Priscilla!
Oh please can’t this women get a job stop living off his name I feel sorry she lost her daughter and grandson but please I do not believe anything in this movie he’s not around to defend himself
@@apollonias.s2521: But, oh, she just had to tell "her truth" which so many people nowadays feel the need to, no matter how much it differs from the actual truth. She's 78 and worth $50 million. She's been living off of his name since he died. If she hadn't have been, would we even hear her name at all 46 years after Elvis' death except for the tragic deaths of both her Grandson and daughter? ~ How much of that $50M did she earn from her acting or anything else she has done except for living off of his name? ~ Knowing that Lisa-Marie was against the film being made and that Priscilla herself produced it is enough for me not to have one bit of interest in seeing it. ~ She may have been the first of the ex-wives who turned out to be grifters, something we have seen more and more of in the past decade. ~ You're also right. Elvis is not here to defend himself and tragically, neither is Lisa-Marie to defend him. Oh, how I loathe her.
I liked the movie, as Priscilla's wardrobe in 1963 was just stunning. Coppola didn't make EP seem like a monster, as the movie clearly showed Elvis's frustration in receiving mediocre records to sing in his movies (which all had the same theme). The movie moved along nicely and nothing was sugar coated as their marriage started to fall apart. Priscilla was candid about everything. Surely in this day and age with "The Kardashian sisters", we can appreciate that.
@@m3llowrushI agree. It made it seem like Elvis wasn't around at all. It made it look like she was just his little doll toy when it was convenient for him which I felt like it wasn't right for her not to do things but he could. Telling her to go in a go to bed. Really
Unfortunately, a lot of groomed children keep this mindset well into adulthood. Even after they realize they were victims of predatory behavior, they're unwilling to leave because the conditioning has a strong hold on them
@@Noel-ji8nmHow do you see her as a predator? Back then, people married very young. They didn’t even marry until she was 21 years old. I don’t even think Elvis was a predator. Just my opinion.
"He liked me because I was so much older than my age." Next sentence, "He became my father, husband...I don't know who I am my consideration were his considerations my fears were his fears..." I don't know; it sounds like a child who thought she was a grown-up and an adult that was grooming her to be his perfect wife. I love Elvis, this just sounds a little odd.
@@glendalevers6555 because she was a child who didnt understand things, kids cant consent he preyed on her and she just said okay. You cannot be possibly victim blaming her. Esp as a child. Yikes.
Cher said similar about Sonny, who she was with when she was 16 and I think he was 28. The difference is, Cher trashed Sonny when he was still alive. You can Google all this, I'm not making it up, she told it like it was, how he cheated on her, bossed her around, etc. But seems all was well because they reconnected on David Letterman many years after their divorce and sang "I Got You Babe" together. When Sonny died, Cher was devastated at his funeral (you can see this too on You Tube). Sonny made Cher famous, but she carried the torch for herself for decades to come and is still making music. I wish Priscilla would have went the Cher route and found empowerment in herself after leaving Elvis, not clinging to his name. Wouldn't that be better for her? Imagine if Priscilla wrote her book, said her peace when Elvis was still alive, then moved on ... her acting career, her celebrity boutique, whatever, than she might be know as simply Priscilla, not Priscilla Presley, and Elvis fans might like her more. Right?
I'm not victim-blaming her at all. I put the blame solely on Elvis. I was only stating it still sounds like she is in denial of what was actually going on. @@espeon871
I saw this movie the other day and was underwhelmed, Pricilla's memoir is so much better. I just found out that one of my girlfriends who is Priscilla's age went to school with her in Germany.
I agree that Priscilas acount in her memoirs is quite informative and better than any movie made. cool that you know someone who went to school with her!
Me too. Just got home from seeing it and it left out so much and details were changed. Like the first time she went through the gates of Graceland, he was with her and made her close her eyes. Small details totally changed the story. Her first movie based on her book from 1988 was way better. (Although this Elvis is better) The 1988 movie had way more details and it was longer, it had 2 parts to it.
@@ronies41 This movie is supposedly made off her book! She says it is accurate even though it makes Elvis look much worse than the book, and contains lies.

Later asked if he had RAPED her, she said, "no, I guess they put that in there for drama". She knows millions will see the movie where Elvis is depicted as a RAPIST but very few will see the video where she said it didn't happen. That is Priscilla for you. She is the PRODUCER of this movie, and she depicts Elvis as throwing a chair at her even though it contradicts her own book!
I liked the movie and would buy it once it’s available, but I think it ended too abruptly after Priscilla told Elvis she was leaving him. It didn’t show their divorce or when he passed away. It just ended like that.
Did they show she left him for the married karate instructor Mike Stone with whom already had a relationship?Or the money she asked Elvis with the divorce several times?😂😂 I hardly doubt...do more research and your romanticism will soon disappear.
@@elvis78ale The movie is fiction based on a memoir. A story with a three act structure. I don't think it's too much to ask for act 3 and its conclusion to not end so abruptly, especially since Sofia is not an amateur.
Totally agree.. it seemed to me like a foolish attempt by Sofia Coppola to end the film with a feminist tone showing that Priscilla came out on top in the relationship and as the best person between the two of the couple.. just a very superficial, shallow and lazy portrayal of the end of their relationship.

No matter how much Priscilla & the media try to sweeten it up, at the end of it all Elvis chose a child that he could control & condition into what he liked. What's amazing to me is that even as a grown woman Priscilla either doesn't realize or is unwilling to admit that Elvis had complete abnormal control of her life. From what she wore, to what she ate, to who she socialized with & how she thought. What's even sadder is that Priscilla's parents didn't put up much of fight to protect her against Elvis's predatory ways smh. They probably allowed it because Elvis was rich & famous by proxy received a little bit themselves

Yeah, I don’t super care of that. Priscilla said she was more mature than 14. She was still 14 and that’s still incredibly creepy and honestly illegal.
guys were like 40 and marrying 13 year olds back then and having children with them. Elvis met Priscilla when she was 14, but he wouldn’t sleep with her.
Where's her personality? What was Priscilla like? She appears to be friendless as teen--why? The movie doesn't define what draws Elvis to her. Their scenes alone in Germany are under-written. She's given virtually notihing to say in response to him. Priscilla is a cipher.
I agree 100 percent with your comment. I thought the movie would be more empowering and even give a taste of Priscilla's life after Elvis, how she went on to be an actress, her boutique that had celebrity shoppers, what was it like losing a child?, more about Mike Stone and her other relationships....Right or wrong, at least a voice for Priscilla. This movie makes her to be a victim, but she had choices. What I did love about the movie though was the cinematography. I'd see it again just for that.
I actually liked how awkward and voiceless she was. She was a child. An awkward, lonely fourteen year old snuck away alone in the room with one of the boys in her magazines that she daydreams about. She has no clue what to say or do, she freezes, or quietly comforts the grown man who shares some awkward half-vulnerability, making her feel special and needed. She does the smallest amount, the bare minimum of comfort, and this grown man praises her as a necessary balm for his spirit, wise, mature, someone he adheres to. A clear, virginal replacement for his recently dead mother. But, yeah, I also felt like she needed more personal identity and momentum in general in the latter half, or maybe too much time was spent romanticizing her pool parties with Elvis rather than going into her actual choices and actions and efforts in that part of her life... and the lsd scene was totally unnecessary, tbh.
Lisa Marie said in an email that the script seemed “vengeful”. She didn’t approve of the tone of this film before she passed. Elvis aside, Priscilla left out a lot of things that would have made her look bad. While they both had affairs and Elvis was obviously far from perfect but neither was Priscilla. Mike Stone her affair partner was himself married and had a pregnant wife. This wasn’t in the movie. Last year, Priscilla went after her own granddaughter in court to contest the will of Lisa Marie after her passing. Priscilla has shown herself to be a ruthless person. This movie that she was the executive producer of is an example. She also demanded to be buried next to the love of her life (Elvis) in the settlement but she also decided to further bury Elvis with this film.
@N4divers: Did they both have affairs? I'm not aware of Elvis having an affair while he was with Priscilla. Priscilla herself never said that. On the contrary. Priscilla said in her book that she was always jealous of Elvis' co-star. but she knew that Elvis never cheated on her. Elvis never had an affair. That's what all of Elvis Presley's friends and employees say.
@@warrioroflight3813 Where was that said? I've never heard of it before. That is also absolute nonsense. you can also interpret a lot of nonsense into something. I saw the movie and it was very bland. Also, Elvis mumbled so much it made me think I must be going deaf and I wanted subtitles. a lot of the movie looked like it was filmed in the dark and I kept thinking I needed to adjust the brightness of the screen or maybe I needed glasses. So there was a lot that was annoying about the movie.
Just finished watching it and looked this up because I was shockingly bored. I ALSO turned my tv brightness up and put on subtitles. Very good notes lol
Because she likes to hide the truth. With a false name people will never do research finding that the real story was a bit different from what she says 😂
I read she slept with Grant a few times. We’ll never know if it’s true, but I don’t think she was a virgin until her wedding night. Imo she looks pregnant in her wedding dress.
@@nolagirl2458 I don't think she was pregnant ..Lisa was born in February. If she was pregnant it would have been not necessary to wear that large dress because she would have been 1/2 months pregnant. You don't have a lot of physical changes so early. If you look for Google images, you'll see that in the sixties that kind of wedding dresses were like that for fashion.
@@nolagirl2458 I heard that she did it, so she could just get closer to Elvis. But I wouldn't trust her much since she a known liar, Carrie Grant was such a creep guy though.
I saw the movie this weekend, and I liked that Priscilla was more of the focus, and we see events from her perspective. Elvis clearly wasn't a bad guy, genuinely loving both Priscilla and Lisa Marie, but his fame had a toxic effect on him.
@@nahhhbruhhh Yet it wasn't focused enough. A better Priscilla movie is "Elvis and Me" which was made in the 1980s and goes more in depth. It was based on Priscilla's book (like this one was too, and both movies have the same lines). The "Elvis and Me" movie is longer and more detailed, really showcasing Priscilla's personality and how defiant she was towards her parents. And interesting side note, not that it's that important, but I remember reading in the book that when she got pregnant she tried so hard to remain slim and not gain much weight. In the movie it shows her getting on the scale and being concerned about her weight. That part was true. She seemed so fixated on her looks, but possibly because Elvis made her self conscious, telling her what to wear, how to wear her hair, etc. That would do a number on any teen.
Good video but i would like if you could say things as it was. Like Elvis didnt want to kill Mike Stone because he dated Priscilla. It was because he thought Mike Stone tried to kill him.

Just did a movie analysis on this movie. 💐 This topic is more important then most people think! I hope women will get themselves educated and leave an abuser before it is too late 🌹❤️🌺
There was no abuse. What are you saying was abuse? There was abuse but it was Priscilla, not Elvis. She married him at almost 22, and married him by fraud. She knew he did not want to marry a woman who wanted to go into show business, so she hid her show business ambitions from him. She stayed with him just long enough to get the best settlement, left him, got her money and got herself a movie agent. SHE was the abuser and now she makes up every story in the world to try to make him look like an abuser to justify herself. The movie does not even stick to the book. It has many changes to make Elvis look like an abuser.
No read" Child Bride', she went out for Elvis even seducing his married friend Currie Grant to get an introduction to Elvis, he went back to the US and ignored her for almost a year, She wrote him begging to go to Graceland, her parents let her go when 17. What is she going to do , her heart still loves him she never spoke of him with ill will She was 14 plucked out of school , no degrees , a child to take care
I don't believe she was lonely and isolated. She had a car, and an unlimited amount of money to spend. She had affairs, but she couldn't have friends? Does that even make sense? The Smith family tells a different tale about this story. Elvis came back to the states, and got on with his life. Priscilla kept writing and calling, and her parents agreed to send their young daughter over to the US from Germany. What does that say about them? They saw dollar signs in their eyes. I agree, once Elvis found out she was 14, he should have sent her home, and never looked at her again. He paid the price for it. He didn't want to get married. But, he was forced to get married. Maybe someone should make a movie about her parents who basically threw their daughter into his lap.
So sad that poor ole Elvis could not stand up to Priscilla's Mama and Daddy. Parents all over the world would have enjoyed that money. Women were throwing themselves at him. I feel sorry for him that he couldn't get away from Priscilla. Looks like he could just have told her parents to come get her when she forced herself on him. she is real short.
She did not come over here when she was 14. She didn't even come until she was 16 and that was just for a visit. Then he didn't see her again until she was two months short of 18. What Smiths are you talking about? Billy Smith and family or the singers that I think are related to him?
Totally true and also Priscilla was not the first young lady that Elvis had said he wanted to come to live with him at Graceland. There were a few that he seriously entertained the idea of having come to live with him at Graceland. One was the 14 yo daughter of a restaurant owner out in California and he had actually asked her mother if she could come to live with him in Memphis and that he would take good care of her, so Priscilla was not an exclusive in that regard but I guess her parents went along with it unlike the mom who owned a restaurant in CA who’s young daughter Elvis wanted to come live with him in Memphis. The teenagers mom said that she would not let her little girl come to stay with him, but apparently Priscilla’s parents allowed the whole situation, and she was young, 14 when they met. Yes I think that family was looking at $$$$$$$$ dollar signs. If she did love him, it was not an enduring fully devoted type of love. She has talked a lot since he died about him and all her feelings and has written books and now has this movie out, so I really don’t know and I think many of us don’t have much information as to how he really felt about her. I think he was pretty shook up when she left him and disappointed, even though he knew, he was at fault for cheating on her and for being a White so much but still if she really loved the guy she would’ve stuck it out. That’s my opinion. Disagree with me comment whatever you want it’s negative on me but that’s what I think.
@@nataliekriegler9329 I don't believe that story about the restaraunt owner's daughter saying Elvis wanted her to come and live at his place, because he had already met and was in love with Priscilla. I know they claim he wanted that, but a lot of people make up stories about Elvis. I am sure you have seen that interview with Elvis after he come home from the army, stating that there was no one special that he had met in Germany. Well he gave another one not long after that, fessing up about Priscilla and describing her as "the most beautiful little creature I ever laid my eyes on, and so delicate, she looked as if you touched her she would break." He was already in love with Priscilla, and would not have moved in anyone else. He also had Anita living with him. He didn't need another obstacle to having Priscilla come. Priscilla was left him Germany when she was 14 and he didn't see her again until she was 16, then didn't see her again until she moved into Graceland at two months short of 18. As for him being at fault for going out on her, yes, but that was not why Priscilla left him. She said in her book that if Elvis had affairs she did not know it. She really left him because she wanted to go into show business, her ambition that she hid from him when she married him.
There’s a 1988 film made from Priscilla’s memoir called Elvis and Me. The only place I’ve been able to find it is on RUclips. It goes into more detail than this film as it’s 3hrs long and not an hour and a half. Even though it’s old, it’s still really good and talks about all the same situations.

This is my opinion: Priscilla had been divorced from Elvis since 1972. She's remarried and divorced since then. Since 1972, she has lived like a queen off the Presley name. Lisa was estranged from Priscilla, more often than not. She sues her granddaughter over the Graceland Estate. She demanded and got the right to be buried in the Presley family plot and hasn't been a Presley since 1972. Lisa knew what she was doing when she changed her own will and took Priscilla off and put Riley on. Then, the wonderful Elvis movie came to us. Priscilla was all about that attention. And now she wants HER own movie. I hope folks boycott it. Priscilla Presley has enjoyed the good graces that Elvis' fans have given her far too long. Those good graces rightfully belong to Elvis' blood kin. It's time for Priscilla to STFU and sit down.
PRISCILLA NEVER REMARRIED AFTER HER DIVORCE FROM ELVIS. SHE LIVED WITH MIKE STONE & LIVED WITH EDWARDS & LIVED WITH MARCO GARIBALDI & HAD HIS BABY NAVARONE. BUT NEVER REMARRIED AFTER ELVIS. JUST BECAME A REAL SLUT. MEN IN & OUT OF HER BED & A 1 NITE STAND WITH RICHARD GERE. ETC
--------------Pass on this flick. Not because I'm an Elvis defender, but because of HER hierocracy. More of Prissy's self imposed victimhood. SHE consented, as did her parents, to living at Graceland in hopes of being Mrs Presley one day. She could have walked out at any time, no one held her back. Her parents could have recalled her back home, but didn't. They all were very content with the blessings of her living at Graceland & living the lavish lifestyle. Free Will is a wonderful thing, and she exercised it, as is evidence of staying there all those years. What did she expect from Elvis? To tame the King of Rock & Roll? Isn't that the very premise she complained about elvis, trying to change her to being what he wanted? And She complained of infidelity, lack of attention, etc BUT continued to stay until after she had a daughter.
@Loke...According to Variety, the singer asked the Oscar-winning filmmaker to reconsider her vision for the film four months before her death in January. The daughter of Elvis and Priscilla Presley reportedly sent two emails to Coppola in which she referred to the script as “shockingly vengeful and contemptuous.” Apparently, Variety received 2 emails written by Lisa.
I do not know this woman. So anything I say is just my opinion. I would feel very poor basing my whole identity on my dead ex-husband for all my life (having been divorced after a few years of marriage). It tastes somehow a little sour and maybe she justs profits from him.
Thank you. It's disgusting how people are trying to turn their relationship into a whimsical fairytale smdh. Also, I don't believe Priscilla when she said Elvis waited until they were married to have sex. Elvis was a full-grown man, not a horny little boy. They definitely slept together after he got her into his house. If Elvis was truly a man of patience, he would've waited until Priscilla was of legal age to pursue her. Instead, he snagged her while she was still a child smh
What's even crazier I'd that her dad was on the fence about it from the beginning, but Elvis and his friend Terry used their "southern charm" and military connections to manipulate them into letting Priscilla attend those parties.

The indoor scenes in Priscilla were really dark which I thought was odd. But the movie could have been just a made for TV movie and not a big screen production.
So majorly disappointed by this movie!! 😢😢 Sofia has really lost her touch in my opinion. It was way too simple, no climax and horrible conclusion of the movie. Coppola has misunderstood that less isnt more. The movie became boring because it needed more dialogue and more characters, a voiceover of what Priscilla was thinking, should also have focused more on Priscillas life AFTER Elvis which could have been way more interesting. Also Cailee and Jacob really didn’t have very good chemistry to my surprise, which was so hard to watch, when the movie only focuses on them. I actually think Priscilla should have been cast by someone else, who looks more like her and is a more experienced actor. Shocked how bad this entire thing was, when it actually had potential. Only good things were the aesthetics. Coppola had all the source material and the story has been out of years, which also doesn’t make it very exciting, but Coppola still managed to f it up is beyond me. Should have made someone else write the script or just not make this movie at all.
It would have been better if it stuck to Priscilla's book which it didn't. It had several changes to slander Elvis. Priscilla is to blame because she was the producer and paid to have the movie made.
There was only one motivation behind that film, to give Priscilla the attention that the recent "Elvis" film gave Elvis and to cash in on his coattails, as usual. PB is a gold digger and she continues to prove it year on year. Her actions speak louder than her sugar coated words. She sues everyone who bad mouths her or exposes her lies, yet she won't take action against the countless lies and rumours about "the love of" her life that she has instigated for over 50 years. She is a classic narcissist and it is very easy to target a dead man who has no family or friends left to defend his memory. Honestly, I used to respect and sympathise with her but, now after that damaging & inaccurate film, she disgusts me and especially after taking her own granddaughter to court mere weeks after her daughter died. She is a disgrace

I was an American teen military dependent in West Germany from late '74 to my high school graduation in '77, and it was all a remarkable experience and I am thankful I was aware of the privilege at the time. And sure, there were some things I missed by not living those years in California, such as the car culture, but there was so much to experience by living in Europe and it was incredible. And a handful of girls in our high school dated soldiers and airmen, one lovely classmate got married and pregnant, and it was not weird or low life back then. Plus, some of the girls were Sputhern and that was sort of their thing, it seemed. getting married young. And I'd like to send a shout-out to everyone who attended Frankfurt American High School. 😀
@@cauldronmoon Southern is what I was trying to say and there were students from all over the States in that student body and it was great. And this was nearly half a century ago when even a long-distance call was a bit of a luxury, so we were all thousands of miles from home and all the same in that respect. And I got along well with everyone, including the Southerners and that didn't happen for me when we lived in South Carolina in 1970. Despite my saying I was from California, not the North, they called me a Yankee and I was so glad that we returned to California at the end of the year. And the lack of any of that meanness made my classmates in Frankfurt my all-time favorites. We all had moved around a lot and somehow ended up together for high school.
@@snortingsmarties8363 So with my classmates, it was probably more like a five-year age difference, call it 16/17 for the girls and a few years older for the guys, early 20s but 19 would not have been out of the question, graduate from high school, attend basic training and skills training and suddenly you're a soldier in West Germany.
@@nahhhbruhhhprovide actual hard evidence that Elvis was bad? Elvis dated a 14 year old girl called Priscilla it was not against the law you idiot. He didn’t date her at that time. And they basically skipped the whole dating part and went straight to marriage which took place when she was already an adult.
Yes and if Elvis fans don't do something history will go down the way she writes it. I wish some of us had the money to make our own movie, but probably there is no Elvis fan anywhere who does. What we could do is start writing our own books and getting them into the libraries.
@@saphireblue3563you’re disgusting. how in the world do you justify a 24 yr old man being attracted and kissing a 14 yr old little girl? unless you can personally relate to how he felt🤔
Priscilla wants to be seen as the only woman who is in Elvis‘s life when he had multiple women in his life before he met her during their marriage after their marriage before they got married I don’t like what she’s doing and she’s going to try to paint her daughter and her grandson in a bad light just like she did with Elvis
@@saphireblue3563 I see this very differently. I believe the events that happened to Priscilla happened as she remembered them. This was a different time. Elvis was a southern man, what today's people would automatically consider old-fashioned. Even now, southern men are a different breed, but that doesn't make them bad. I have always loved Elvis -- his music, who he was, etc. I loved this movie and appreciate Sofia was just making another adaption (yes, it's been done before) of Priscilla's memoir. But I did not see Elvis painted in a bad light at all. We can empathize with what Priscilla went through as a very young woman when she met Elvis but also love the amazing, generous human Elvis was who recorded some of the best music we will ever hear. Fame is not easy, and he did the best he could with what he had.
@@alyssiakirkhart Well the point is, as with everything Priscilla "remembers" she remembers them differently every time, usually to make herself more of a victim at Elvis' expense. If you really are an Elvis fan, you must notice that details in the book have been changed in the movie to make Elvis look worse. In the book he did not keep her in isolation. In the book he was not doing heavy petting with her when she was a minor, in fact she said he did NOT. In the book he threw a chair but not at her. In the movie they lie about Elvis, having him throw the chair AT HER. I have only seen the trailer and I have seen all that. I am sure there is more in the movie. It is Priscilla's continual justification for leaving Elvis, most of which is not even true. Making an "adaptation" to slander another human being who is dead and cannot defend himself is morally bankrupt. I don't see how any Elvis fan could defend either Priscilla or Sofia in doing that.
She had an intimate affair with Elvis friend Currie Grant just to meet Elvis, she was popular and her own parents groomed her to marry rich. they even set her up with a guy in Germany, older and from a royal family. she had two flaming affairs in high school documented by the book "Child Bride", Elvis met her but was soon shipped back to the states, she begged to come to Graceland but Elvis ignored her for a year,, finally her groomer parents sent her at 17 years old, she married Elvis at 21. they both had affairs, Elvis was never abusive any woman even although she wants to be a martyr. She ran off with her married karate instructor. Elvis was good to her in the divorce and gave her everything she wanted. It was never enough. She demanded money just before he died in 1977. She even put a lien on Graceland he sold off his catalogue to meet her demands. Stop believing her lies. She is all about fame and money
She didn't hear from him when he came back to the states but 9 or 10 times for 2 years. He was with his old girlfriend, the pretty blonde. When they broke up he spoke to Prissy.more. She had a serious boyfriend in Germany at that time. Read Child Bride. It answers a lot of questions that don't make sense about Prissy's story.
Shes still groomed babes it doesnt make it okay, and also she was a child when she left her srs bf because again 17, and she was groomed by elvis and she loved elvis. Also she was still cheated on, like she cheated on him with but for her its valid because she genuinely was losing her grip and elvis didnt care about her and she was abused. Disgusting just because you want to defend a star.
Does the movie show her affair with her dance instructor just weeks after Lisa was born? And her affair with her karate instructor who she got to leave his marriage and pregnant wife?
9:30 her affair with Stone , who was married, lasted a year before she left Elvis. Elvis wanted to kill Stone when Priscilla said that Stone did not let Lisa visit her Daddy (Stone denied it was him)
Sophia is a genius and her film is great. The acting was top notch. Jacob more than holds his own as Elvis and perhaps just as good as Austin in the Elvis movie.
She’s been writing off the cocktails of Elvis since he died in 1977 and she weasel her way through to get to him when he came to Germany in 1959 now she’s been telling the same story as to when she first met him but she can’t keep her stories straight. She’s always changing something, if this doesn’t make Priscilla look suspicious, I don’t know what will.
@@mitsukai7192 yeah but she seek him out before she met him and she’s been telling the same story since 1959 at 64 years she’s been writing off the cocktails of those Presley since 1977. That’s when she took back his last name after he died before he passed, and their divorce was finalized. He asked Priscilla not to use his last name after the divorce is finalized she kept her promise until he died without that last name Presley she’d be a nobody.
And now that Lisa is no longer here she sees her grandchildren as cash cows Riley is basically her lapdog. If Riley goes against Priscilla, Priscilla can take Riley out. If the twins go against Priscilla she can take them out just as she did Elvis Benjamin and Lisa, Lisa didn’t just die from a bowel obstruction, Lisa was unalived because her mother didn’t want her around, so Priscilla took her out.
When Elvis died, was Lisa Marie at Graceland? That's the way I heard it in the 1970s, when he died. And that Lisa Maria called Linda Thompson, screaming, "My Daddy is dead!" And Linda Thompson had to comfort her. But I saw Priscilla being interviewed by Pierce Morgan and she said that she took Lisa Marie to Graceland when Elvis died and told her, "Your Daddy is resting." Which story is correct? I'm confused...
What? a teenager falling in love with a gorgeous man in his early 20s ??? Living close to him at 18 (as she asked him to), and he dared to keep his word to marry her at 21 ? Call the police...
I just hope Priscilla gets a boatload of money from this mess so she doesn't talk somebody else into a 3rd Elvis and me that will have all new horrible things that Elvis did to her...
The one thing that did bother me about the movie was that Priscilla was depicted as being locked up at Graceland for their entire marriage, which is miss leading. It's documented that Elvis & Priscilla shared 2 homes together in Southern CA during their marriage as well. "In 1967 for $400,000 Elvis purchased the stunning French Regency home (1174 Hill crest Drive) with spectacular panoramic city to ocean views. The home had four bedrooms and five bathrooms. Elvis, Priscilla, and Lisa Marie enjoyed happy times at Hillcrest from 1967 to 1973. This was the first CA home known to Elvis and Priscilla's Daughter, Lisa Marie Presley in her childhood. " "In 1970, the singer bought a home in Beverly Hills at 144 Monovale Drive, which he shared with his wife and their daughter, Lisa Marie. The 1930s New England-style home was updated by the couple, who renovated the kitchen and second-floor bath, and added French doors to the living room."
There were plenty of other lies in the movie too. What about the fact that she had a car and a bottomless credit card? Did this woman appreciate anything that Elvis did for her? How could she, and produce this movie?
@@matthewgriffith7314 She sued Currie Grant, not the author of the book. And she had to pay him so he would keep quiet. You don’t pay for someone’s silence if you won the argument.
3:19 A bunch of Priscilla propaganda. She did not need to leave Elvis to "find out who she was". Elvis was gone for weeks at a time on tour. She had plenty of time to find out who she was then. For all of her excuses, I think she really left him because her financial plans had come to fruition. She could at that time leave him and get the best settlement. That time was five years of marriage in Californian. She left him, got her money and got herself a movie agent, the ambition that she hid from Elvis when she married him.
@@sandrajohnson9998 That's a big load of Priscilla horsesh-t. Elvis gave her a car and a bottomless credit card. She was never locked in Graceland or forced to live in Graceland. She said in her book that she was gone so much that the baby preferred the sitter to her. She has even said she flew a lot. She was never kept isolated. The things she said in the movie contradicted her own book. If you knew Priscilla's history you would know that she is a very prolific liar who has contradicted herself on every subject. Since Elvis fans began to catch on to her a few years ago, she has begun trying to paint herself as a victim of the "awful Elvis". She was the one who used and abused him, not the other way around. When she married Elvis, she KNEW he did not want a wife in show business. She painted herself as a woman who just wanted to be a wife and mother. She stayed with him just long enough to get the best settlement, left him, got her money and got herself a movie agent. Mike Stone, her lover that she left Elvis for, said that she had felt like a prisoner with Elvis because she wanted to go into show business and Elvis would not tolerate that. Well she knew that when she married him. She was a user and a liar from the first day of the marriage. She was vicious with Elvis, determined to make her ambition at his expense. Elvis loved her and when she left he began a long, slow slide to death.
@@sandrajohnson9998 Because I, like many others, have loved and followed Elvis since the 1950s and saw everything she did to him. It is a tragedy that she has been able, since his death to paint herself as his "victim" when in fact, it was just the other way around.
So he groomed her and then he told her how to groom herself? He was training her to be his doll and vision of perfection. He picked up a high schooler and turned her into an adult and showed her what he wanted in a woman. Then when she tried to show her strength,he wanted to drop her? Someone help me understand and see if I am hearing this correctly.
@@James-d1k4j Exactly. She had choices, which is why I didn't like the movie. Where is the empowerment here? After she left Elvis she had a life. She became an actress, she had a celebrity boutique and so much more. I would have loved to see that in the movie. Like, life goes on after Elvis. ... A side note, one of the women he dated became a nun and made a documentary "God is Bigger Than Elvis." It was really good! From a woman's perspective, I want to see empowerment, not victim ... "Priscilla" had so much potential to be powerful, but it was dry and disappointing.
There’s a 60 Minute Australia video on RUclips where they interview women who Elvis also “dated” when they were just 14 year olds…Priscilla acknowledging that this was an inappropriate pattern of behavior would “tarnish” the memory of Elvis and his legacy which in turn would hurt the $ that comes from it. Especially when so many people consider their relationship as some kind of epic, timeless romance.

3:55 n.7 it's a picture of Elvis' father, not Priscilla's. At almost 18 she left Germany to live in Elvis' father's home. She had only 3 months left before graduation. Priscilla "cheating" to get what she wants ? Get out of here 😇
I was 14 when I met my husband. He is almost 13 years older than I am. We dated when I was 19 and married when I was 22. We will be celebrating our 40th anniversary in June. I see nothing wrong with the 10 year age difference between Elvis and Priscilla. My husband was a perfect gentlemen and did not take advantage of me or showed any disrespect to me whatsoever. RIP Elvis.
Happy anniversary to you both. We have a 17 year age gap between my partner and I. 22 years together and 2 children. I always liked older men, I don't know why (boys were never interesting). Nothing wrong with 10 year gap. They didn't marry tol she was 21, he had affairs all over the place. She clearly said they didn't have sex til they were married. I don't see the problem.
I don't thing the age gap is a bad thing. My hubby is 12 years older than me and it is only now - 30 years on that I feel he is slowing down and I am not. As a mother I would not allow my 14 year old daughter to be involved with a 24 year old man. Never in a million year. But I guess they did it because he was famous and wealthy.
I married a 24 year old man when I was 18 and it ruined my life. I wasn’t mature enough and he most certainly abused it. At the time I was angry with my mother for being against our relationship so we married in secret and now that I’m out of it and older I see my moms concerns and I see why age is such a big problem. It can be abused heavily
Age gaps can be an issue depending on the stage in life the two parties find themselves in. Your marriage has worked; as the mother of a 14-year-old girl, however, you would be right to object to her involvement with a 24-year-old man.
I think she enjoys the media attention too much for the fact that heronly claim to fame was being his wife for 6 years. Didn't his other relationships last longer?!
So what? After everything he subjected her to, why shouldn’t she benefit from that? Tina Turner kept her stage name and Ike’s last name to keep her afloat after the divorce. Why not use that to her advantage. He was an asshole to her.
I loved the movie!!! I love Cailee Spaeny she is the best Priscilla out of any Elvis movie or series! Priscilla is pure grace and beauty. I think all the haters are just jealous!
No the haters have been watching her for decades and woke up to the lies she has told about Elvis. And this movie is the worst. People like you are ignorant about this predatory woman. She married him by fraud.
If it was the way the movie showed it, maybe. But the movie was nothing like the book. So many things were changed to make Elvis look like an abuser. With Priscilla's consent, of course.
@@julesrules7297 But she was already jumping from bed to bed with older guys, obsessing over young men, and harassing people. Seems a little too mature for me. Besides, you’ll be surprised how normal it is for teenagers to behave like creeps and get away with it because of their age.

In the movie Elvis and ME, she depicted Elvis of a vicious RAPE. She later took that back, saying, "oh, I guess they put that in for drama". Just as in this movie she let herself be depicted as isolated, lonely, etc, when in real llfe she had a car and a bottomless credit card, and said in her book that she was gone so much that the baby preferred the sitter to her. She also depicts Elvis as throwing a chair at her, when in her book, he threw a chair but not at her. Priscilla likes to lie in her movies to make Elvis look like an abuser. She knows that millions will see the movies and think that Elvis did these things, and very few will see the videos where she said it didn't happen.
She tries to sweeten it up because the flip side of that is realizing “huh. I was prey to this creep”. Like living your world looking through rose colored glasses because the truth is just scary.
She could have left. Didn't you see where he told her to go visit her parents? And she didn't want to go. She liked living as an adult until she didn't want him anymore.

“I think”, it’s another banking effort off the Presley name. Period. How many times does one have to return to the same story? Edit and play repeat. OMG!! She proclaims, “Elvis was the love of my life.” If that were indeed the case, where’s the respect, decency and privacy of Elvis and certain aspects of their life they shared together versus the public display Priscilla keeps repeating and/or, in this case, editing for profit. Second film of “Elvis and Me” with a new title and now, ticket sales to hear her talk over and over about “Elvis and Me!” Honestly, it’s tacky, disrespectful and a disgusting way to make a buck!
She has totally lived her life on Elvis's back. If she really wanted a life of her own she would have let Elvis's fame and his love from all his fans go and lived her own life. She never ever let him go to live his own life but she always had to stay close to him so she could ride on his coat tails and try to be just as famous as him. If she really loved him she would not be saying all these hurtful things every few years just to keep her name out there.Never really liked her anyway but believe me she will come up with something else to keep herself in the spotlight before long.
I read many comments where people say that Priscilla could of walked out anytime. True, but Elvis also could have ended the relationship before "having" to marry her. Neither one of them looked unhappy when they were together in any of the pics I've seen. He, like many rock stars today, wanted the best of both worlds, the security of a wife at home and the freedom to act like he was single when he was away from home. I did not like the Priscilla movie at all. Boring, terrible acting all around. I much preferred Elvis and Me featuring Susan Walters and Dale Midkiff.
I myself will not see this movie! I find quite a bit hypocritical that a woman who cheated on Elvis, divorced him, had another child by another man she had lived w for many many yrs, has written a book, & talk show after talk show portraying elvis in a bad light! Now this movie! But claims he was the love of her life! Im srry none of it sits right w me! Since Elvis has been gone it all been about keeping herself relevant! Her own daughter lisa Marie did not want this movie to b made, didnt feel parts were actual re her dad. But she went along w it anyway! U could see bfor lisas unfortunate passing during the Elvis movie ceremonies that her & Priscilla did not look very loving together @ all! Said tensions btween both! Personally i feel Priscilla is using elvis as her lifeline! If he loved her so much as she claims he did after the divorce, then why did he not leave her ANYTHING in his Will?! Linda Thompson has said stories arent as claimed..their was quite a bit of animosity frm Elvis as Priscilla had cheated on him! Priscilla wants everyone to believe all she has put out there! To forget he lived w linda for 4 & 1/2 yrs, loved her! Now she has never said one bad comment against Elvis! I believe linda truly loved & tried to help him!! Priscilla & Elvis were divorced! Of course he needed to make it look good, im sure he was told better for his reputation! But Elvis had a life after Priscilla that didnt include her! She dosent want anyone to remember that though! & this whole being buried next to Elvis! No thats just not right! Noone but Priscilla wanted that! Elvis is not here to defend himself or have any say in what she proclaims! Everyone is suppose to just take her word bcuz she says to since Elvis's death! Now lisa isnt here either to protect her father! No i will not see this made up movie! As far as im concerned theres a lot of untruths! & why is this being done to Elvis Presley an icon, beautiful man that brought the world so much joy! Bcuz someone decides they want to make him look bad now!! Its BS!! Its not right @ all!! Shame on all who made this movie!! It wasnt Priscilla who was the star!!! The king! Loved by all! The greatest performer that ever lived!! It was & is Elvis Presley not Priscilla!! Ridiculous!!
I don’t understand why Elvis hasn’t been cancelled. He was a 24 year old grown man grooming a 14 year old child. He AND her parents would be in jail today, as they should.
Because he didn’t do anything wrong and the stories are either all twisted or taken out of context. He never wanted anything with Priscilla, but her obsession towards him went a little bit too far. By the way, are you sure you’re not mistaking him for Jerry Lee Lewis?
They just met after she begged her friend 3 weeks to see him. He always kept in mind her age and actually never wanted to marry her. He was forced to marry her by her father or he'd be sent to jail
Priscilla is a greedy psycho who has abused way too many people to count, but mainly her daughter. She has gotten away with several crimes, she associates herself with other criminals, and she’s in a cult accused of numerous atrocities like human trafficking. Cult that coincidentally Elvis hated and refused to enter. You don’t wanna cancel her too?
@matrix5000100 I appreciate your thoughts, but every single person close to Elvis said he was in a "very serious" relationship with Ann-Margret. Joe Esposito was interviewed for the Biography Channel on Priscilla and he said, "that relationship with Ann-Margret was a very serious affair. " Just yesterday Elvis' cousin Danny Smith on his RUclips Channel Memphis Mafia Kid, spoke about Elvis and Ann-Margret. He said Elvis was in love with her, and it is obvious in their on-screen performance and photos. Linda Thompson also wrote in her book Elvis had fallen deeply in love with Ann-Margret. As for Priscilla, she has changed her story so many times, I don't believe anything she says. I do believe Elvis' cousin, Danny Smith when he said "Priscilla was jealous at the time and she is still jealous today of Ann-Margret

I love Sophia Coppola and was really looking forward to this. It is a beautiful movie with great acting, but I was underwhelmed. I actually prefer the tv movie "Elvis and Me" from 1988. I thought that showed more of their relationship. This tone/style felt more like the movie "Jackie" that came out about 4-5 years ago. Very stylish and understated. I just wanted more (i.e. a "Marie Antoinette" vibe).
Whether this film is a heap of lies from Priscilla or not, I will not be watching it. It is important to consider the fact that Elvis' manager, Colonel Tom Parker, was a con man of the highest order - he spun everything that Elvis did in every way that worked to their (his) benefit. So, he relied heavily on the fact that plenty of girls got married right out of high school = Elvis and Priscilla are suddenly relatable, and yet, because of celebrity status they are also unique and their situation is set apart/"necessary for their love." Basically, Parker spun horse manure into gold. And it saved Elvis' mythos, butt, and future. If he'd been outed for the grooming pe*oph*lic behavior that he engaged in (e.g. having pillow fight parties with 12 and 13 year olds brought up to the mansion, getting a 14 year old pregnant while on tour and dumping her at a paid off doctor's with money for an abortion in the middle of the night before he went into the Army, and of course, everything he allegedly said and did publically and privately to manipulate and control Priscilla previous to their marriage), his career would have ended as it begun. To this very day, the Presley estate is still weaving tall tales to continue the mythos of this beloved abusive monster. Just one of those tales is the myth (accompanied by his Bible on display at his Tupelo homeplace, Elvis singing old gospel songs on stage, the HBO documentary "The Searcher," etc.) that Elvis followed the teachings of the Christian faith. He absolutely did NOT. He was a M*son*c, Ros*cr*cian Theosophical Satanist who followed the teachings of Alice Bailey, Madame Blavatsky, Aleister Crowley, and many other Lucif*rian teachers. His entire life was an esoteric exercise of "Do what thou wilt" = Aleister Crowley's ultimate summation of the Satanic Law, given to him by Satan himself (also known to Aleister as his "Holy Guardian Angel," and "AIWAZ/AIWASS"). Elvis was obsessed with "The Voice" (the Luciferian magazine he kept a subscription to), and he named his vocal back-up group in homage after it. He had his stage outfits modeled after drawings and paintings of the New Age Lucif*rian Ascended Masters, and adorned with ancient esoteric/L*ciferian/Satanic symbols. He and the Mafia members had a celebratory picture taken together after their initiation into the Ros*cr*cian secret order. They are all wearing their roses and pins, plain as day (they must have assumed the general public wouldn't know or recognize what was right in front of their eyes). He claimed he was God to his Memphis Mafia, and even manipulated the weather in front of them. He was always trying to read their minds, and more than once tried to influence them to k*ll others for him. As a parting gift to Priscilla, she claims that he forced himself on her (he r*ped her) when she told him she was leaving him for another - most people don't bring that up when they reference her book, "Elvis and Me," the book this film is based on. And lastly, according to Ginger Alden, his girlfriend who found his body, Elvis died reading an esoteric/Satanic book on sex magic. While the author was a modern one, sex magic was the bedrock of Aleister Crowley's spiritual practices and worship of Satan. At this point, I just have to stand back and say, "What a way to go." He DEFINITELY did things "his way" while singing "My Way." He did not honor Jesus Christ at all. But that's this world's normal. What Satanic artist out there nowadays doesn't have their own gospel and Christmas album? "Ya gotta make the people happy." "Give 'em what they want," so we'll shut up and accept anything and everything from the artists we're captivated and hypnotized by. Apparently, a random Southern gospel album will do. "Awwww, he's in touch with his roots, isn't that sweet?!" Meanwhile, Priscilla the Scientologist (Scientology's creator, L. Ron Hubbard, was a Satanist who claimed he was Lucifer incarnate after Crowley died, btw), Riley, her niece, and the rest of them are counting on the deception (and your hard-earned money) - that that worn out mythos will still work its charm, and his mask/legend won't slip and fall away. My question to the world is: How many people does it still work on? P.S. The above was written by an ex-Elvis fan of 36 years. Danced as a toddler to his voice, listened to every song, watched every film, visited Graceland, sat on his bed in the Lisa Marie, owned rooms full of memorabilia, every album he recorded, endless books and photography stills, wore his scarves around my neck, was written about in the local newspaper, and was even given a piece of his bathroom carpet as a gift (he renovated his bathroom shortly before he died in it, and the carpet was cleaned and divided into sections for each Official Elvis Fan Club Chapter). Put it all into trash bags and took it to the dump. No regrets. I feel a beautiful freedom and peace. 👍👍

You're also right. Elvis is not here to defend himself and tragically, neither is Lisa-Marie to defend him. Oh, how I loathe her.
Boring. One boring movie
The problem is, Priscilla said things in the movie that contradict the things in her book.
he was absolutely a monster in the movie
@@m3llowrushI agree. It made it seem like Elvis wasn't around at all. It made it look like she was just his little doll toy when it was convenient for him which I felt like it wasn't right for her not to do things but he could. Telling her to go in a go to bed. Really

Priscilla's been justifying Elvis' predatory behavior her entire life. If she hasn't realized the truth yet, she never will. Bless her heart.
Unfortunately, a lot of groomed children keep this mindset well into adulthood. Even after they realize they were victims of predatory behavior, they're unwilling to leave because the conditioning has a strong hold on them

@@espeon871

I saw the movie today, it was a huge disappointment
Agree, almost no dialogue
I agree 100 percent with your comment. I thought the movie would be more empowering and even give a taste of Priscilla's life after Elvis, how she went on to be an actress, her boutique that had celebrity shoppers, what was it like losing a child?, more about Mike Stone and her other relationships....Right or wrong, at least a voice for Priscilla. This movie makes her to be a victim, but she had choices. What I did love about the movie though was the cinematography. I'd see it again just for that.
The movie directly dehumanized her. It didn’t even gave her a fictional personality like it did to Elvis.
And interesting side note, not that it's that important, but I remember reading in the book that when she got pregnant she tried so hard to remain slim and not gain much weight. In the movie it shows her getting on the scale and being concerned about her weight. That part was true.

I agree!!!!!

Again, thank-you ever so much for the update. 😊
This is ALL from Priscilla’s book. Her ‘truth’ only. Read “Child Bride’’ for a more comprehensive view!
It's such a great book.
Priscilla’s story seems insincere to me
It's time she was forgotten and Elvis's memory remain.
I agree with your assessment completely!!!
Who did Proscilla marry the second time?
Lisa was very upset about this movie and was going to fight it if it came out....just sayen. Lol
What article or source stated Lisa was upset about this movie? Just asking, not trying to be rude.
Liza Minnelli hated the Judy movie but it was still a hit.

Oh but remember only Elvis is to blame. I'm being sarcastic if it wasn't already noticeable

It was during the late 80s. It has the same name as the book in which Priscilla was based off of, Elvis and Me. You can find it here on RUclips.
@@nmsuirishmexgemini82 I did read the book Elvis and Me when it first came out so I knew practically everything that happened in the movie.

Her life after Elvis? Like the time she had a one night stand with Richard Gere and he left a 20 bill on the table next to the bed?

And I got along well with everyone, including the Southerners and that didn't happen for me when we lived in South Carolina in 1970.
I dont think she realizes she was groomed and in an abusive relationship and how abnormal her life really was but hey
Have you seen the movie? She def knows

"In 1970, the singer bought a home in Beverly Hills at 144 Monovale Drive, which he shared with his wife and their daughter, Lisa Marie. The 1930s New England-style home was updated by the couple, who renovated the kitchen and second-floor bath, and added French doors to the living room."

For all of her excuses, I think she really left him because her financial plans had come to fruition. She could at that time leave him and get the best settlement. And she didn't want to go.
She liked living as an adult until she didn't want him anymore.

Presley Bealiue first went toGraceland at her 16~18yearsold(not 14years)she always want to get Elvis's and many people' attention.she divorced easily for money and man.Lisa always lived together with Priscilla'slovers from childhood. she made Lisa and Elvis unhappy.

Not that it's an excuse but like everyone she forgot how much pressure and extreme amounts of stress the media and the industry put on Presley.
I saw Priscilla last Friday and it was a great movie. Better than Elvis.
Good thing I read the book before the movie.
The way I see it, Elvis was this upbeat, fun summer flick and Priscilla was more like a reality check.
You should also read Childbride, I’m sure you’ll love it.
Well said!
I don’t understand why Elvis hasn’t been cancelled. He was a 24 year old grown man grooming a 14 year old child. He AND her parents would be in jail today, as they should.
Right like seriously she had no childhood and he still controlling her in his grave like if she marries a man the money will stop .
Unfortunately, back then, it was an open secret that ephebophilia was condoned by a lot of men, especially men of power & money smh
Just yesterday Elvis' cousin Danny Smith on his RUclips Channel Memphis Mafia Kid, spoke about Elvis and Ann-Margret.
A esa mujer solo le importa el dinero , siempre quiso ser famosa , pero si no fuera por Elvis nadie supiera de su existencia

Priscilla didnt love Elvis she loved who Elvis made her
she was a kid
It seems a bit more complicated than a reductive treatise on image manipulation.

Facts about the marriage to which both Elvis and Priscilla agree??? Nah, so called 'facts' of an EX-wife who has since admitted that some of her 'facts' were exaggerated. Good of you to be a mouth piece for Priscilla; after all, they were divorced several years before his death and obviously, Elvis had died before Priscilla's book was written, the book made into a mini-series and now into a movie so it's not as if anyone will ever hear his version, opinion or facts will they.
Don't know if you mention it here but Elvis NEVER threw a chair, even anywhere near Priscella. In fact, in the book, she says that the chair-throwing incident happened while she wasn't even in the room. She had just walked into the room, as Elvis was throwing the chair at the wall.
. . 🫦 if her lips are moving she’s lying . . Marty Lacker, EP’s best man at the marriage ceremony in Vegas, despised the ground she walked on and he wasted no time in letting her know what he thought of her, and Lacker didn’t care how EP felt about his distrust of and for Cilla either, but Marty was still the best man at the ceremony . ..

Anything and everything is possible but no matter what I really care about Priscilla presley ❤❤❤
Priscilla has always promoted this story that she couldn't have friends of her own, that all her friends were chosen for her. Since she had a car and a bottomless credit card, and said that she was gone so much that the baby preferred the sitter to her, how was she isolated, and why could she not make friends of her own? She found at least two men to have sex with her, so why could she not make women friends of her own?
Thats right, you defend the controlling paedo Elvis
