Monon Caboose and passenger car, two rarities. Nice spanking fresh Atlantic Coast Line Heritage Unit and Seaboard Heritage Unit. Multiple NS Heritage Units. Appropriately winter December scenes at Mt. Revelstoke. along CPKC in Canadian Rockies. Thanks VR!
Wow, I thought I'd seen a lot of fallen flags, but most of these were new to me. Loved the parade, and the raindrops on the camera lens at OKC gave a gorgeous effect. I always enjoy the Happy Honkers of Chehalis, but "Jingle Bells" was extra-cool! And you are quite right: the ending is beautiful. Another great one!
A fantastic Grab Bag , Doubles at Elkhart/Fairport. Snow at Skykomoish and Revelstoke seeing the trains in the snowfall just made it more wonderful to watch. Christmas decorations in Elkhart and Sweetwater Tenn was a sight to behold. Plant City Florida really knows how to put on a parade. Ending if the Grab Bag was very beautiful. Keep up the excellent work VRF.

I am glad CSX has finally decided to do heritage paint jobs but I wish they didn't retain the CSX head end. That's where a lot of the unique designs are located. Leaving the rather dull CSX head end detracts from the effort of their folks in the paint shop!

@@kennethhanks6712 - I’m no expert but I doubt that SPs could generate enough voltage and more importantly, current flow, to power motors capable of operating the hopper hatches.
A cab car,is a non-powered controller for push-pull trains! There will a locomotive[working],several cars, then the cab car! On the Long Island,Metro-North,and NJ Transit the cab cars are built into the coaches, and can be distinguished by the horns carried! Cab cars have a long and illustrious history, started in England, and now, world wide! Hope this answers your questions! Thank you 😇 😊!!
Also makes the front end a lot safer in a crash - lot more bulk and structure to handle the crash. Many cab cars are built from old locomotives - the engine is removed the leftover room is used for baggage with a roll up door on the side.

Hello Everyone🎅🏼
What is a Cab Car (07:27)? Thanks
I wondered too and googled it. It seems they provide auxiliary power and other functions but do not function as the locomotive.
My favorite website
Anyone know what those mini pitched-roof-like gizmos are on one end of Herzog cars? Appearance suggests solar panels but that makes no sense.
They are indeed solar panels powering the hopper doors for remote control operation for precision ballast dispersion (often by GPS guidance!).
@@kennethhanks6712 - I’m no expert but I doubt that SPs could generate enough voltage and more importantly, current flow, to power motors capable of operating the hopper hatches.
They are solar panels. And yes, they make enough power to operate the solenoids for the air dump system.
It looks like winter in Skycomish

Fallen flags what exactly does this channel mean?
My brain sometimes doesn’t understand things…
What is a fallen flag
A railroad that is no longer in service, but you sometimes see the cars.
@@troy.peters thank you
What does fallen flags mean?
A railroad that no longer exists because of bankruptcy or merger.
Thanks bigdaddy.@@bigdaddy5179
