Interesting… I was trying to find an official name for the car, but didn’t have any luck besides it just being a “ramp”, so that’s what I stuck with! Thanks for watching!
thanks and yes I always wondered. i watch railman videos and always have questions. didn't know there were so many MOW machines!!! I worked over a summer for ConRail in the 70s and remember as a maintenance worker, getting rides on the MOW machines to work on the rail down the line. Looks like workers get shuttled to the site now. Someone probably fell off and things changed.
Great video! Yup, those rails need some work! Thanks for sharing! 😃
Thanks for watching!

In the midwest, roads call that (flat with the ramp) a scorpion car.

Yes, the workers stay in a hotel nearby and are taken by bus to the unloading/work site, in this case, Brunswick, MD!!
I agree, great video...good thinking.
Thanks for watching!
I wondered how that was done to. Thanks for the video.
Me as well! Just happened to get lucky enough back in 2023 to see it happen!
Great video well done!
Thank you for watching!!
I guess the order they are hauled is the order their working operation is
Thats what I a thinking… although in this video some had to change order to get into the right position
Former CP Rail man here, I found that very interesting. I did NOT work for the MOW.
I did as well! Thanks for joining me! If you don’t mind me asking, what position did you work as?
