Imagine being in full control of your vehicle, with 100% clear visibility, hitting the brakes right before you turn onto the tracks, and then... driving onto the train tracks.
Agreed. I think there's a special kind of 'Stoopid' for ppl that drive willingly onto RR tracks. It just bogles the mind of anyone with rational intelligence. Oh well!!
Who else was aware that 7695’s swoosh design was the first prototype of the swoosh itself? Apparently BNSF didn’t like the lighter color so well. Kept the design but made the rest of the fleet with black swooshes so as to be seen better. Hence, the Golden Swoosh 😊😊
A sea of air (or in this case fog) and a sea of ocean have a lot in common in terms of wave action. That was absolutely stunning footage!!! And earlier in the video we got to see what it looked like underneath that fog-bank on the ground in Arvada--terrific!
Two things: thanks for notifying us about the subpar video so we know it's not our RUclips feed or ISP. The second is for the music at the end - that was beautiful.
And I thought it was pretty interesting driving through that fog on the way to work Thursday morning. I had no idea how awesome it was from above! Thanks, V/R!
Wow! Excellent catching all the trains, especially a Darwin Candidate in Waycross, Georgia, and the CSXT1836, RF&P, in Folkston, Georgia, I like them all, @Virtual Railfan, thank you very much and happy late-Valentine's day.
OK, if I worked for Amtrak, I would so figure out a way to put some of those color changing party lights inside of the engine compartment on the Challengers...
Thanks VRF. Some catches tonight of Railroads to check-out. VC and LEF&C Railroads. I have heard of GTRA, but will check it as well. I really liked at Galesburg, the Crane's self-widening Tracks for Stabilisers, worked on Site plenty of times but I've not seen that before. Cool.
My favorite show to watch the trains going down the tracks and at the crossings as well as an occasional Darwin from time to time yeah this is a really great train show with VR Grab Bag Thanks.🤠🇺🇲🇨🇦🤠 🚂🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🇺🇲🇨🇦💨💨
People need to learn to drive and pay attention I have a suggestion put a small Jersey barrier in between the two tracks maybe it will stop them trying to go on the track Maybe it's just a suggestion
Running man at 21:12 We can see him again whit God 2nd chance at 21:36 whitout whistlle adverstise !!!!! Tribute & Respect to all loco engineering whit their obligatory patience May God bless and protect you guy'z a lot !!!!!!!!

I'm not sure if these are the same ones we saw before. 7:30 flagging a train through the crossing 8:23 FEC 431 in a new blue livery, not in a Ferromex-Style one the GEVOs are getting 8:37 empty switch-carrying flatcars 9:29 BNSF 7695 trailing 10:00 CN 3008 leading 10:33 ex-CEFX unit that did not get painted in the newer livery 10:48 is this driver an NPC? The train that has to be flagged through is pulled by two ALC42s 14:12 11-unit power move with a graffitied locomotive and SD75Ms 15:16 CSX 1836 in an RF&P heritage livery. The tracks in Ashland are originally RF&P tracks 16:08 The Tropicana Juice Train passes a coal train. Hopefully you guys get a camera on the route where these VIA Rail trains run 18:04 Amtrak 130 trailing on the Lake Shore Limited 18:28 police chase in La Grange 18:46 It's been a long time since I've seen footage of a rocket-carrying train. The car has no side ladder like freight cars do, so the guys had to use their own to hook and unhook the chains 28:45 a sea of clouds viewed from the edge of the Rocky Mountains. Reminds me of the time I went up Pikes Peak
Gorgeous cloud sequence at the end there. It's only a matter of time before one of those crAshlanders gets hit by a train, as busy as that line is, and with Amtrak in the mix.
I'm at a loss for words because of the stupidity of that driver on the tracks in Ashland. What possessed her to drive onto the tracks when she could easily have backed up?
Finally watched it another great the sequence with the car on the track was so funny speeded up and that sunrise at the 10 curve well those clouds looking just like the sea...Again keep these coming! 😊
With the continuing decline in the Earth's magnetic field, migrating birds, whales, and numerous other creatures are getting lost, and that seemingly applies to the humans too! Much to much,is happening right under our noses, but people can't put 2+2,together! Anyway, beautiful coda, from the Big Ten curve! Thank you 😇 😊
The UP heritage train was great. I noticed that car 209, Howard Fogg, was not in the consist. Can anyone verify that car 2055, which is in the consist, is the renumbered and refurbished Howard Fogg car. I couldn't find any real clear data other than what I stated and not real sure of that. Pretty sure that the Amtrak coach getting the wheelset swapped out at 24:45 came off of a westbound California Zephyr. Saw another railfan video (Mike Jensen 80701 channel) of the hours late Zephyr arriving at Fort Morgan, Colorado where it was noted that the 8 car consist had to have a coach set out at Galesburg, IL because of a wheel problem. Passengers on this car were moved to another coach and the train proceeded west with 7 cars. Great video here.
Simple solution to the crossing issue: add a yellow hazard sign on a post (like at a T intersection) between the two sets of tracks or the orange traffic lane delineator sticks (like what is used to prevent turns from a lane) on the crossing. Costs less than $100.00. Drivers can’t see the drop off from the crossing onto the ballast due to the height of the crossing. Do railroad regulations prohibit such traffic control devices on the RoW?
I watch your videos and live streams everyday on my 65 inch LG, but for some reason I can’t see the name place and time up in the left hand corner anymore. Only half of it shows, how do I fix this ?
And there were two kore dimwits after the one cleared Ashland - one al,ost repeated the same manuever and another car tried to run around a conductor who was trying to manage the traffic
That lady screaming help me in Ashland 🤔 first of all, she shouldn't have chosen to drive on to the tracks, second, she should've got out of the car immediately.
Ashland PD must have the emergency number for CSX on speed dial.
One would think that a tow truck should be parked just around the corner.
24h towing service presence at this place
Imagine being in full control of your vehicle, with 100% clear visibility, hitting the brakes right before you turn onto the tracks, and then... driving onto the train tracks.
Stopped to think about it.... "Yeah, I can make it. I have 4-wheel-drive."
I got the feeling that he would have backed up if the idiotic cross-traffic had let him, but all they did was honk at him. Bummer!
Intentionally, willfully & knowingly= $ticket$ ole Magoo or better yet, suspend driving privileges for life!
The Union Pacific. What a beautiful train. 👍 And a beautiful ocean of clouds.
Sure is. Nice to see nothing mixed with it.😃
Was lovely!
Looking forward to seeing these clouds! (See my comment above it's 22.30 in the UK and I'm off to bed)
The fact they drove onto the tracks after pausing, while the sun was still out, is what makes it art. Wow. Great catches overall. Love the sunset!!
I loved the ladies waving in Tucson--the one in particular looked so surprised and so happy!!
11:00 Some people should be banned from driving. And from the looks of it, she may have been charged.
Agreed. I think there's a special kind of 'Stoopid' for ppl that drive willingly onto RR tracks. It just bogles the mind of anyone with rational intelligence. Oh well!!
Let them drive. Ban them from voting.
At night when it rain I can understand somebody from out of town could make a mistake not seeing well , but on a clear day in daylight 😮
I would love to be in the tow truck office when the calls come in.
Beautiful ending. It's like watching the ocean waves out in the sea. Except it's in cloud form. Very nice & sweet music choice.❤🚂
A sea of air (or in this case fog) and a sea of ocean have a lot in common in terms of wave action. That was absolutely stunning footage!!! And earlier in the video we got to see what it looked like underneath that fog-bank on the ground in Arvada--terrific!
24:43 It's like watching a NASCAR pit crew. 🏎😂
And looked about as unsafe as one could make it. I didn't see any ground supports if the lift failed. Sheeez.
It was really cool to watch and I learned a lot!
Poor coach looked like it was getting a proctol exam!
1:55 beautiful Union Pacific passenger!❤
I saw a crossing in northern England where the gates swung horizontally 90°, blocking the railroad tracks when auto traffic was allowed to go.
That’s pretty typical for English crossings. It’s actually pretty old-school too
Two things: thanks for notifying us about the subpar video so we know it's not our RUclips feed or ISP. The second is for the music at the end - that was beautiful.
Thanks VRF for another entertaining grab bag. The closing scene was absolutely beautiful 😊
love the end with the air current playin with the clouds
So that carriage in Galesburg finally received its winter tires... 😉
LOL
Love the clouds, like waves on the ocean.
That bogie change was fascinating to watch.
And I thought it was pretty interesting driving through that fog on the way to work Thursday morning. I had no idea how awesome it was from above! Thanks, V/R!
Aww, that was so pretty, reminded me of my beagle, she was so cute and had the most perfect voice for chasing rabbits.
Wow! Excellent catching all the trains, especially a Darwin Candidate in Waycross, Georgia, and the CSXT1836, RF&P, in Folkston, Georgia, I like them all, @Virtual Railfan, thank you very much and happy late-Valentine's day.
The sun rises from a soft pillowy bed and says "good morning Colorado!".
The hydraulic crawler crane with its adjustable tracks was great. These specialized cranes are something you do not see everyday.
OK, if I worked for Amtrak, I would so figure out a way to put some of those color changing party lights inside of the engine compartment on the Challengers...
Loved the UP domeliners back in the day!
The one the only BNSF Golden Swoosh
Cool.

We think we'll Conquer the Stars yet at the same time can't negotiate a Rail crossing successfully 😂
The distance between the smartest and the dumbest among us is greater than from here to A. Centauri.
That guy really ran back across the track. I just cannot. 21:31
"Help me" btw ..ah yes darwinism at its very finest 😅
A beautiful and relaxing moment at the end of the video! Thank you! Greetings from Brazil 👋
People need to learn to drive and pay attention I have a suggestion put a small Jersey barrier in between the two tracks maybe it will stop them trying to go on the track Maybe it's just a suggestion
Amazingly Beautiful Ending. You guys are great, thank you. I ❤ VRF.

26 passenger cars!!! Wow!!!
That was a gorgeous train!
Nice catch of the Rookie heritage unit RF&P
What a maroon! But man, that time lapse at the end made me forget all about it.
yeah a maroon for sure
This is a truly great Grab Bag!
24:51. Appx 37 min to swap that wheel assy out. Wow ❤❤❤
28:44 - This aught to be a channel on it's own; so beautiful and soothing.
hello Virtual Railfan & it's is Randy and i like yours cool & Thanks Virtual Railfan Friends Randy
18:31, If a CSX train was already going through La Grange, that chase would end on a bad level. Cool Grab Bag though.
I never seen a crane expand its track base. that was more then cool.
A lot of good clips for today’s grab bag.
Only the U.P. can still make a real passenger train. Nice.
Well, the BNSF and CSX OCS consists are also pretty impressive!
Unfortunately, us average folks will never get the opportunity to experience it.
Two classic (and classy) EMDs on the point as well.
0:08 Brightline passes a slow intermodal
0:19 CSX 1869 leading
0:44 BN green SD60M and H3 SD60M pass an SKOL train

5:10 Amtrak 203 and two Phase V P42s on the coast Starlight

18:28 police chase in La Grange

29:00...Great Sunrise!
11:04 getting a driver's license is easy.
Nice to see CP 8876 in Flagstaff at 6:15 .I saw it up near Saratoga, NY about 4 weeks ago.
Gorgeous cloud sequence at the end there.
It's only a matter of time before one of those crAshlanders gets hit by a train, as busy as that line is, and with Amtrak in the mix.
Great footage on all the Class 1s,and scenic in CO!🛤🚂
18:27 Bad Boys, Bad Boys, Whatcha gonna do...Whatcha gonna do when they come for you?
The ending was mezmerising.
A great Grab Bag
Wish you could make (and I would buy it), a DVD with the beautiful scenes and songs you always show at the end of The Grab Bags :)
I would too!
Awesome grab bag with my tanker train
AMTRAK Superliner wheel change-out at Galesburg, IL…..very unique catch!! 👍
Thank you for letting me know what it was!
Must be something in the air or water in Ashland. Crazious group of drivers I've ever seen.
Ah, but don't forget LaGrange...🙃
Kinda doubt it’s locals. They know what’s at that intersection.
❤ YAY ,
The Golden Swoosh ❤
I'm still waiting to see the Amtrak/Atlas loco
Isn't it always fun to see the Golden Swoosh!
Great grab bag!
0:39 Ooo, a GP30!
Definitely revoke that person's driving privileges and charge them for time lost by the CSX.
I enjoyed this
21:33 I knew it! I was waiting for him to pop out!
I'm at a loss for words because of the stupidity of that driver on the tracks in Ashland. What possessed her to drive onto the tracks when she could easily have backed up?
She figured she could do an ole Mr Magoo.
That random bobtail truck at 11:30 made me laugh.
Another Grab Bag ALREADY?! Nearly 10 pm here in UK will have 2 wait until 2moro but I've already given it a Like!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hi David. Grab Bags are usually one every two days and come on RUclips generally between 21:00 and 22:00, GMT
@@gp3829 thanks for info more greetings from UK c.22.30 😴
Finally watched it another great the sequence with the car on the track was so funny speeded up and that sunrise at the 10 curve well those clouds looking just like the sea...Again keep these coming! 😊
Boings at Ashland sat there and looked! And did
Nice long video, gteat variety. Thanks again.
*Nice Catches*
Awesome Video!
🌴🌹🇮🇳🌹🌴
What went thru Waycross, oh my
Score card for ASHLAND continues to grow.
I believe this makes 3🤔for the year so far.😮
I was wondering when the Golden Swoosh would show up again.
Whats special about the golden swoosh?
There is only the one locomotive with that paint scheme on the entire BNSF roster, that's what.
Thank you 😇 😊
6:42 here in Nova Scotia Canada 🇨🇦

Thanks for the info!
Beats me why the RR cant just put sloping sides on the crossings so any car on the rails can just reverse off or be towed back onto the road
Agree 105%
Most dangerous activity I saw was the workers on the AMTK coach. Never should work under a suspended load! I bet they weren’t railroad carmen.
Maybe give the skid steer driver and mechanics a Darwin candidate also.
Darwin Candidate... oh he's good, not too bad... DOH!
26 Union Pacific passenger coaches. Was that the entire fleet?
That's almost all of the Executive Office cars. Train was supposed to be split in the Tucson yard.
26 car UP passenger!
18:27 bad boys, bad boys! 🚓
Imagine if a CSX train was going through La Grange during the chase, it would have ended with a bad crash.
10:13 👋
Appears some of these drivers are vying for Darwin Candidate recognition. Looks like they've earned it.
Awe no big boy so it’s just another yellow train 😢
I watch your videos and live streams everyday on my 65 inch LG, but for some reason I can’t see the name place and time up in the left hand corner anymore. Only half of it shows, how do I fix this ?
And there were two kore dimwits after the one cleared Ashland - one al,ost repeated the same manuever and another car tried to run around a conductor who was trying to manage the traffic
11:27. She would've stayed in the car and gotten n hit too. Based off how she just sat in there yelling "help me"
Not everyone enjoys driving, but they have to. The solution? More passenger trains.
Impressive considering it was broad daylight and she had already stopped.
I was just wondering how much damage would driving on the tracks do to a car's chassis. Just kind of curious.
That road is a regular highway thru town,
Ummmm how hard is it to distinguish the difference between Railroad tracks and the asphalt??? Just saying 😉
16:14 CSX 4589 Repainted
0:08 I'm not sure why that freight train is moving so slowly, they usually fly through that section of track.
That lady screaming help me in Ashland 🤔 first of all, she shouldn't have chosen to drive on to the tracks, second, she should've got out of the car immediately.
