Have you came across brake issues with the 2012-2014 Nissan versa. The problem being the brake Master Cylinder. Where the owner would have to pump the brake pedal or apply a lot of force to bring the car to a stop.
What’s the hose right above the sensor? The one you went under to remove the sensor after removing the screws. I am dealing with this right now and I unhooked the hose and it had some blue fluid. Great video by the way.
I am dealing with this issue as well and the dealership doesn't have a clue on what to do and although p0705 can be reset it started not passing inspections. im more frusterated that it can just turn on and off with seemingly no difference .
I replaced a range sensor today and now the car won’t leave reverse….it’s just saying it’s in the reverse gear and car won’t start. Also if you hit the brake and manually change from park to other gears, it still says it in reverse. Any ideas?
So what if this doesn't fix it? My PRND light is going off still and the car is jerking once or twice at a time when I stop still. We replaced this part (bought straight from Nissan) and changed the brake bulbs like they suggested and it's still not fixed. I have a 2019 Nissan Versa SV. It obviously has the POS CVT transmission in it.
Cost for garage to do this? I was quoted 400 up to totally replacing tranny 4000+ backup light was out. Replaced it and engine light went off. Not coke back on ever since.
we're dealing with this issue. Our mechanic said to replace the rear tail light (which we did). something about corrosion. that seemed to fix it for a while but it's back again. I don't mind doing this as well... but I'm skeptical.
I have a Nissan Versa SL 2012 1.6, the engine light not on, and doesn’t show any code ! But my car start hard and sometimes no power and a few times on the red light car was on but no move , so I change spark plugs and air filter and Air mass sensor, but still car doesn’t start easy on morning ! If you think I should change engine speed sensor!?
We haven't reset the codes yet but I am not sure that it would still do all of this with a new part in it if it were fixed regardless of the code. I don't see a code issue making the car jerk with a new sensor put in it but I could be wrong. I'm more of a pessimist and I'm terrified that my car is having a different issue. It read the same code you had but I dunno.
I have a 2012 Nissan Versa and I can’t get the neutral safety sensor out I took out bolts and still hard to remove it stuck on the shaft. I can’t get to break free . Do you have any advice
Hi Keeny, Nice video. My Nissan Sentra 2012, 2.0 CVT blowing the use when shifting to reverse. The Mechanic replaced the neutral safety switch. Still same problem. He said somewhere wiring is short circuit. How I can Check or replace the wiring harness. Any electrical diagram, so I can track the wiring. Please advise. Thanks
Hello. Did you solve your problem? Hope you were able to check stop lights from both sides, light bulbs and bad contacts moisture and rust can cause hell in your versa. That can also trigger a reverse neutral switch problem also.
Hello, I need your help. Where can I find the gearbox for Nissan Versa 2013? If it is available in your country, I need the address and price if possible, thank you.
I know it’s been a year or more, but I’ll relay my experience. For me, sometimes the car will make like a pop sounds and feel like it shifts positions shortly after coming to a stop. Also, sometimes it feels like it’s having trouble going into drive and like it takes a little more effort on the pedal to get her going.
Usually you get code p0705 but first you have to check the electrical wires, circuits, etc. because any problem with that can give you that code but not necessarily has to be the sensor...
You could try checking the sensor output, but it's quite involved. If you're getting a P0705 code, do a google search. There is a common problem with this sensor that can be caused by high resistance in the reverse lamp circuit. Nissan has a service bulletin out about it.
Check your taillights for large or small amounts of moisture and your taillight sockets for corrosion and or pitting corrosion. This sensor is in the same circuit as the taillights. Oh yeah one more thing apply black caulking between the black taillight flange and the rear body to stop water from flowing between the flange and body.
I'm dealing with this issue right now. I greatly appreciate this video!
What is your issue? Did you fix it?
I want to say...Thank you!!! Very informative....you clearly show the procedures and very honest about your recommendation
Thank you for this video. Having this issue at this moment with my car. And it has 152,000 on the odometer.

Thank you so much! I am going to try by myself. I appreciate you so much!

Don't forget the taillights can get moisture in them and cause havock with this sensor and throw this same code.
I have a 2019 versa is it the same

What was the car doing?
Thank you! The driving school I work for has three Versas.
Thank you so much buddy foe show me how to change it properly.

Make sure when you put it back together the vehicle on park and flush the transmission fluid for new fluid
We have exact same problem did you get it fixed?
Cost for part?

Not come back on rather. Should I still replace that sensor?

Just go for it man.. I need to replace it as well😂
I replaced the light assembly with code p 101. This p705 is different. I am going to do these steps. It seems simple enough. Thank you.
I got mine changed about 2 months ago. Now the Auto Zone finder thingy is saying it’s the same thing.

It’s probably it is I had the same situation
Do you have a video showing the neutral safety switch replacement for the 2012 Rogue?
We haven't reset the codes yet but I am not sure that it would still do all of this with a new part in it if it were fixed regardless of the code. Did you ever figure out what was causing the jerking? Mine is doing that after replacing the neutral safety switch
Did anyone figure this out? Mine is also doing the jerking

Were you able to figure this out? I'm having the same problem.
Did you figure this out?
Is this same location as on 2016 Sentra kus it’s the exact same sensor so I’m thinking it would be in exact same spot as your car

Hello I replaced the part and cleared the code. After 3 weeks the code came back any suggestions?
did you check the tail lights as someone told above?
Exact same thing happened to me. Were you able to figure out what was going on?
Kenny. What does it cost to buy that sensor or neutral safety switch? Hours worth of work or much less?
Amazon has it for $22 to $30.
I tried to purchase it from the dealer but they wanted me to buy the whole assembly
eBay
Does it make your car light is the RPMs go up and down
How much is that part is you buy it directly from Nissan ?

What were the symptoms that you had to replace it?

Also, sometimes it feels like it’s having trouble going into drive and like it takes a little more effort on the pedal to get her going.
@TheJoemerk thanks. I pretty much have the same thing you're talking about. Did it fix the solution after the replacement?
@@jessietheaztecI haven’t gotten it fixed yet :/
Thank you
How can you tell if it bad ?

When you get this code how do you know that it’s just the senor circuit and not something else wrong with the car

Would be more easy if remove battery and plate.
I changed and still the code.

My car popped up with 8 codes
You need a better camera.
