It's so awesome to see new arcade places that I've haven't heard of still carry the arcade tradition of Japan, even after seeing so many of my favorites in the years close down. It's just so incredible that the culture hasn't gone extinct in good old Japan like it has everywhere else in the modern world. I hope the spirit still carries on for several more years.
I'm going to film as many of these places as I can, while they're still up and running. The arcade in Omori taught me a valuable lesson, these place will close if they don't some patronage.
i visited a retro arcade at the Ikaho onsen hotel in Shibukawa. they had 2 areas, a "newer one" time crisis 4, tokyo wars and mairio kart 2 then some crane games. the other had some retro games, a smaller area than other one pocket racer, another crocodile slam game to close thier mouths, a ball ramp drop with levers you control manually, a old namco target shooter, dirt dash cabin, old table space invaders and pacman, sega hang on motorcycle racer, taito 3 train simulator. pretty damn cool when there arent many arcades in shibukawa area.
Ikaho grand hotel if you are interested. Not biggest but some old games. Likely not many arcades there. Not completely sure myself. A bunch of initial D related landmarks and sights. Onsen areas, shrines. Not exactly civilisation but not middle of nowhere either. Its more of a hotel guest place to access, not so much a public arcade.
Odaiba, huh? I'll be honest with you, Jim. I actually never heard of odaiba. I never heard of it. You know it's the place of the neighborhood of tokyo, and you know what's the coolest place about? Playing video games. I watched your video yesterday and it was totally awesome! Even retro games and modern games kicks ass!!! Oh my god those arcade machines are incredible and super awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@MadPanicGaming I mean, it's true, Jim. I prefer going to the gigo arcades and where everybody goes there and play their favorite games. They have retro and modern games at gigo arcades in Akihabara. Even that place is so awesome to go there and have fun!!!!!!!!!!
Oh, man! When I visited Tokyo in 2019 I went to Odaiba! I saw the Gundam and I went to Joypolis, but I had no idea this place existed! I'm cursing myself right now too because I was really jonesing for a arcade that day too!
So many cool things.. but Virtua Cop 2 in the arcade is something I haven't seen since the mid 90s anywhere.. including today's retro arcades. Very cool.. and Sam reminds me of an otaku Tim Dillon.. That is a compliment.
what a cool arcade! I definitely noticed a lot of namco stuff, everything from galaga and xevious to point blank (whichever one gunbullet is) and taiko drum master! love the very retro atmosphere as well.
There was a Dippin Dots in the Joypolis in Odaiba, but that was 18 years ago since I went there. Dunno if it's still there. This Odaiba Game Hall looks fantastic.
The only super famous Jared I know is not one I would want to go to an arcade with
Lol never before or since has one man done so much damage to an otherwise milktoast name
You’re like half cool RUclipsr/ half Japanese arcade historian. So, you’re 100% awesome!
And 10% sex machine
Also, nice to see the trio reunited!

Man that place looks lit. We seriously need more places like that.
A great place to spend an afternoon, Odaiba is the perfect day trip in Tokyo.

Sounds like a place I'd like to visit

Jim - what day did you film this? I was there on April 28 - probably passed by right you since it was so packed if you were there that day
Yep, was there on the 28th

It's definitely worth a visit

This place is a good capper to a day in Odaiba, followed by some killer TGI Friday's.
These videos just keep getting better and better dude hahaha, really enjoyed this. Gotta admit I really like pinball now too lol
Ultraman 💪🏻 2:13
Holy crap. This place looks amazing.
It is indeed

For pure atmosphere and a proper retro feel, this place is right at the top of arcades I've covered on the channel.
Oh damn! I was just there the other day! Yeah pretty cool little retro joint.
Nice meetin 'ya during my trip to Japan, Jim. Back to Aus for me now 🦘
Epic arcade! This place feels like Shin Sekai in Osaka, cramped into a large hall.
That Nile cap though!
It's definitely heavy on the retro aesthetics.

That's the same one I was referring to, it's still these.
I've been there so many times.
But all I ever play is Taiko Tetsujin.
Nile hat and TLC shirt combo is wild. Hell yeah haha.
Jared with the impeccable fashion sense
dooope, saving for later
love your arcade contents!
Much appreciated 👍
I really enjoy these arcade videos. 😀
Hello Jim! How's your day going?
I miss Japan ☺️☺️☺️
I'm sure it misses you too
My man with the TLC shirt, I see you! lol
I loved the arm wrestling game, I shall return in a few months to obliviate the highscore
Idk, our man Jared has some serious pythons, that score will be hard to beat
Oh nice I’ve been to Decks. I liked the retro stores in there!
Odaiba in general is an awesome place for a day trip.
point blank alternate name is gunbullet
Is this new?? I don't remember hearing about in my previous visits.
Looks freaking awesome. Almost like a museum.
It's been around for a long time actually, my first visit was back in 2015
@@MadPanicGaming Oh damn. Don't know how I missed this. I went to Odaiba in 2012 and 2019. I'll make sure to check it next year.
Hey, how's the video, dude?
Amazing
Love that this Japanese retro arcade is so bloody epic here & hope to check out next year 2025 mate! 😎👍🎮
Highly recommend, Odaiba in general is a great day trip
@@MadPanicGaming Can't wait!
Also, I dig your t-shirt!! Sick!!
Thanks!
