So yeah I was trying to transfer through wifi only and it was showing me 99+ hours for 400gb. Then I found out you can simply connect both ps4 and ps5 together with a lan cable and now it's not gonna take 2 hours lol, about 80 MB/s awesome.
@@ziaddiab3803don’t listen to the guy who responded to u. He doesn’t know what he’s talking about. No u cannot just use a lan cable by itself without wifi to transfer. They both need to be on the same Wifi connection and u plug the LAN cable to make it go faster.

You may have mentioned it already and not sure if it helps anybody but the PS5 also supports the USB hard drive with the PS4 games installed on it so then you don't have to reinstall all of the PS4 game data (from the discs) to the PS5. @@guffyguff7422 Im not an expert on it but im pretty sure consoles has to be near each other. WIFI based transfer works ok but its best to connect with an ethernet cable.

For some reason when I install my stuff from the PS4 games I unlocked a bunch of stuff on my PS4 game but apparently when I put it on my PS5 it doesn't have my extra stuff that I have I have to rebuy everything
That is impossible the only way you lose your Data if you don't ever get a ps plus membership ever. Ps plus members all of your game saves are automatically uploaded to the cloud man it has been that way since ps3. There are two ways to get your ps4 saved data to ps5 one is transfer from ps4 to ps5 and the other download all of your saved data from the cloud including games. That simple.

@@jacobmint you have to manually download them even with cloud. Go to settings and you should be able to get all the data there.
