I did everything you said but I didn't get the part where you can pick what exactly you wanted to transfer. At the 2:30 part of the video. The part that says Select Saved Data to Transfer. You've probably found the answer but if you have the digital ps5 and buy a physical disc game you are not able to play it and will have to buy that game digitally

Hey everyone, I have a quick question. I just got my PS5 in the mail today. I started setting up my data transfer and I saw it was going to take 99+hours because I don’t have a LAN cable at the moment. I did a custom set up to skip transferring the games I had installed, I just wanted to download my profile. Well I accidentally started the transfer that is 99+ hours long. I’ve been sitting here over an hour and it hasn’t even gone to 1% yet. What happens if it stops mid process? If I get a LAN cord like I plan on doing, can I plug it in mid transfer for it to go quicker or has that ship sailed? I’m not home a lot so I don’t want to leave these consoles on unattended and I also don’t want to leave both consoles on for days with no rest. Does anyone have any knowledge on the subject? I made a stupid mistake and now I can’t go back. Any information would be very much appreciated.
@@Lee-os1if I did. Actually, I was moving the consoles around and the wire to the PS5 disconnected. I got very worried that I had bricked my consoles but it turned out to be just fine (not saying it would be fine any other time) . I don’t remember how I transferred my data after that but the way I did it after disconnecting was very fast and not a million years long

You have to connect the trophies online in some way I remember it saying they won’t appear unless you do something like that when I was doing my setup! Hope that helps a bit
@@del7ce Sorry to hear that bud. Have you checked the PS5 has room for 100% of your PS4 data? I was selective in what I transferred due to limited space on the PS5. Remember also that some games have a PS5 version, so there is no need to transfer the PS4 version. Good luck.

Absolutely reccomend connecting a lan cable between the consoles, dropped my download time from 40hrs to 20mins

Nah, it took almost two days to finish but it got stuck on 99% and wouldnt process anymore.
