What about the saved data on those games though? Like I fully understand that if I have God of war and sims 4, that I can easily transfer the games over to the ps5. However, what I haven’t found out yet is, will my saves from those games transfer over as well? I’ll get the games but will I still have all my sims and all my saves?

Interesting side note on the ps4 you could install over 10 games at a time. PS5 you can only install 1 game at a time but unlike the ps4 the PS5 has 2 separate loading bars 1 for the game and 1 for any updates. So if you want to play the base game without any updates PS5 makes that very easy but to do that on PS4 there are more steps. I prefer to play the base game to see if it can stand on it's own or just incase the the latest update wrecks the game.

I have a question when I did this all the save data from my ps4 games are there on my ps5. But when I switch to the ps5 version of those games my save data is gone. Does the system transfer only bring over the ps4 saves and not switch those saves to the ps5 versions of those games?

However: Some game must be from a same region as the account we use. If the game region is different than our account’s region, it won’t be transferable.
One question I have is if you transfer all your ps4 games saved data to ps5 and on ps5 you decide to delete some ps4 games, are you allowed to play that deleted ps4 game on ps5 again by redownloading it and picking up where you left off or does it destroy your progress?

I'm pretty sure if you put Games on a external Drive and plug it into the PS5 you can't play them unless you move them to main storage
You can but you only be able to play the PS4 version of the game, to play the PS5 version you have to transfer to main storage.
