I don't make enough money to be a video game hoarder.
Yes you do. When I was a kid I was a huge video game collector and I still am and I'm almost 30 now. I obviously couldn't buy every console I wanted as a teenager. I bought what I wanted broken or a broken lot from Ebay. I would then fix as many of them as I can, keep 1 or 2 then sell off the others for 50%-75% of their actual resale value. Teach yourself how to fix stuff and how to solder and you'll save a ton of money. You NEW expense becomes time, not money you'll make m9ney. Ok, to give you an example. I would buy the lot of 20 broken PS2s, fix as many as I'm able usually 15-19 most commonly I'd have to buy disc lasers. But yeah, then sell off the rest, try it with the Nintendo GameCube they're not difficult to repair, you just gotta buy the security bit, and they're worth a good chunk of cash and their dirt cheap when they're broken

Ehhhh eBay has some pretty good deals and facebook marketplace be having a lot of good ones. It makes me want to try and start a small game shop tbh 😂 I got a ps2 from eBay or Amazon (can’t remember correctly) and it was around $80 but $90 with shipping. I recently got a GameCube for a good $60 and it only had one photo (thank god the item was real and legit)😭😭 and my best prize possession is a fat ps3 I got for a good $80 and it still looks brand new, clean and no scartches on it so either the seller took really good care of it over the years or they refurbished it recently. Like I was so amazed seeing how good it looks and plays.
Like I seen ps3s in worse conditions go for a good $100-130 so I’m happy I found a good one😭❤️. I also believe Slim editions are cheaper and was thinking about getting a slim ps2 just in case my fat one decides to kick the bucket one day.

My friend sold his 360 because he got the 4 rings of death, only for someone to tell him it was because the AV cable wasn't plugged in properly. Safe to say, he regretted it 😂

Oh my god as a beginner to console repair I even know better than to use magic eraser!!!! It's abrasive and WILL destroy anything it touches. Isopropyl alcohol and a soft cloth will take care of sticker or gross residue with no problem, it hurts me to see them tear up consoles like that.

You, I open all my consoles and do actually clean them like that every decade. I keep my collection super clean, so I don't have much dust. But I still do this for every console, every 10 years

If you use windex and a plastic blade you can get the goo off easily
Did you remove the x clamp on the blades 360 dashboard console? those boards are very flexable in the wrong way. if you did i would replace the clamps with some from an elite.

40:43 If you weren't already aware, any xbox 360 slim that is the matte color (not the shiny black with chrome) has the 4GB internal drive and doesn't come with a hard drive. So yes that is a knockoff, probably 500GB, but they work just as well. Only downside is the OG 360 hard drive has original xbox emulator software so with the fake HD you wont be able to play original xbox games. I still have this exact setup and fun fact, I won it while working for Microsoft in their Xbox tech support department

First thing i would do is take a photo of everything excapt the controller. Than i sand the console without the controller back to DK oldies and say "hey here are the photos after unboxing and hm.... wrong console, no game and no controller. I mean they try to scam you you scam them

Opening the console voids the garantee that's why at Dk Oldies we don't open them anyway so no garantee is ever voided.

You would jus' luv the Xbox One in pieces in my kitchen... Whoever used it didn't clean it ever and must have been a passing cloud chain smoker, coated inside and out with tarry dusty dirty nastiness... Being an ex smoker the pong of it is like a miasma of disgust just wafting round my flat, my cats keep going up to it inside a box and sniffing hesitantly and I am going to have to cover it up lest one decides to give it a golden shower perhaps to hide the nasty niffs emanating in pulsewaves from it :( On the plus side I paid £4 for it, then the seller I bought it from sent me unasked for a complete working motherboard and dvd daughterboard saying they felt guilty selling me something that don't work (it did work, how escapes me with that tobacco oil slick inside and just running a sink full of soapy suds to clean the plastics and metals) Working 1540 mother/daughter boards can be bought off ebay for as little as £15 at mo... I did ask seller if they enjoyed the occasional hand rolled or ten, they didn't respond :D

Had a rrod in 4 different 360s. Lucky for me buest buy had a warranty program and i was able to turn in the brick anf get a new 360 and buy another 2 year warranty for 69.99. And i never buy warranty. Glad i did

The XBSS & XB1X Pro (aka XBSX) are the most garbage consoles ever made. But buying any kind of electronics from Wish or Temu you will be ripped off, they only sell very sh!tty electronics, even down to a simple Micro SD cards dont even work.
I like these types of videos, but at least make the title obvious that it's content we've already seen.
