Claude knows as much about football training and coaching as I do about quantum mechanics....If you play modern top level, high intensity football Saturday Thursday Sunday, you HAVE to utilise a squad ( only Emery knows who has knocks, injuries etc which influence line ups as well) so as not to burn them out. You can't play the same 11 players in modern top level football 3 times a week for any length of time without causing injuries or fatigue and physical burn out, never mind psychological burn out through the constant mental pressure on high performance athletes . You can't play the same 11 players in modern top level football 3 times a week for any length of time without causing injuries or fatigue and physical burn out, never mind psychological burn out through the constant mental pressure on high performance athletes . I’ve noticed Robbie mentioning on most videos on yesterday’s game that all other clubs have rested players which is a valid point but the difference with arsenal is we haven’t got the squad to rest players we have 11-13 players who are good enough to play and the rest are rubbish.

I was actually surprised at how many bodies he was able to put out for that game given our horrendous injury situation. Apart from Lloris, I don't think he rested anybody. If the whole squad was available I suspect Pochettino would have selected a strong side.

I agree with Robbie that all the clubs that took part in European competitions did rotate their squads but the difference between Man City, Liverpool, Spurs, Chelsea, Man Utd and Arsenal is that all our rivals have more strength in depth than we do whereas our "squad" players who rarely feature in our starting 11 are simply not good enough and that was evident in today's game!! I can't see us making it in the top 4 now and I wouldn't be surprised that Chelsea leave Old Trafford with a point if not the whole 3 points at stake....it appears that Man Utd are a "wounded lion" after the Champions League humiliating exit at the hands of Barcelona!! But the irony is that Man Utd are still a much better side player for player than our current squad!!
U can rotate players but some players CANT be rotated... Ffs even Liverpool never rotate van dijk and Salah and mane becuz they are the guys that CANNOT be replaced...
