- Just me driving around telling a story about how I secured a brand new G87 individual BMW M2 in Grigio Telesto around 5-6 weeks after putting a deposit down. Also discussing the benefits of buying new vs used.
Please be aware that this is from the perspective of someone in the UK, the US may be different in areas that I'm unaware of.

@@NeilCrossy Sky scrapper grey, carbon roof, comfort pack. from what i can see Vertu Sunderland seem to look after customers you got a tip for a salesman that will do a good deal. I got a 340i now been an amazing car but now 4.5 years old. Always wanted a full M car and i think the M2 the best and within my budget.
Fetched my Sapphire Black 2025 M2 LCI last week for less than what some of the 2024 2nd hand low milage ones go for here in Australia.
It was a dealer car that i took while it was on order status back in late july. same spec i wouldve done.

Another great video 👍🏻 although you’ve not missed out on a different leather option. All the seats are Vernasca Leather, just they have different options in terms of stitching / highlights.
yea cheers, I corrected myself on that in my latest video! I thought Vernasca was the name of the highlight option but yea it's the leather type, apparently it's an artificial leather with an embossed pattern in which is a bit shit. It does feel a bit like PU leather you'd get on a cheap gaming chair
@ it’s real leather still, basically the old “Dakota Leather” BMW used to use. It’s artificially dyed with an embossed pattern.
@@raesy2261 Eh I read on an article that I now can't find that said it was artificial leather... never mind, either way, it definitely feels cheap!
@ that’s Sensatec, which is totally artificial and in a lot of the models. Vernasca is 100% real but yes a cheaper leather compared to the likes of Nappa

Was the exhaust in loud or quite mode when you were driving around? Really nice burble to it!
Been looking at buying one. I have a 911.1 C2S so it’s going to be another toy but slightly more practical than the Porsche. Is it worth getting the LCI? Not many differences and could change the steering wheel and a slight remap. It does look like low APR rates on the new ones though. Seen a few 2025 models ready to go on autotrader.
Noticed we do get bit more extras but starting price is higher now carbon is option and opted for white with sun roof. Feel free check it at Nicholas driving academy
Ahh I didn't look at the M2s before the LCI so didn't know what the original price was, but tbh I don't really pay too much attention to the actual list price because the residual and the APR tend to control the actual cost of the car as much as the actual sticker price. But congrats though, new car day is the best day ever!
Are you local ? Vertu Durham is my nearest branch but I get my G87 serviced at Sunderland- I’ve had my Toronto Red over a year now I’ll give you a 👋 if I see you . Were you driving around in M1 ? exhaust sounded louder than comfort. Yes to your query dealers do exchange cars between themselves although when M2 first came out dealers weren’t so much as stock was limited v’s demand
I'm based up near Tynemouth so not really local to Durham, I just went to Sunderland as they were the most helpful dealer!
Ermmm off memory I think I set off with the exhaust turned off then turned it on a few minutes in! I quite like being able to do that, sometimes you just want to have a nice quiet drive so it's class being able to just knock on the noise!

Ahh nice! I just did a video ranking all the colours available and Sapphire black is my 2nd in the list out of the 14, love it! Is yours black on black wheels or bi-colour?

Over £800 per month for a 2 series regardless of the engine is just ridiculous.
If you don't me asking what was actual on the road price this car with all discounts?
It's hard to tell from the invoice but I think it's £66,895.77 and that's with around a total £9,680.24 discount. Which is pretty good!
That colour must have been lot extra?
@@nicholasdrivingacademy9435 £4385 and then the carbon roof is mandatory at £2300 with the individual paints... it is in the US anyway so I imagine it is here too. So nearly 7 grand just to get grey paint... life choices, my older self might look back on this with some regret haha
Ordered my 2025 with carbon roof and interior + HK Hifi upgrade. Full black. Ordered in early August. Delivery in 3 weeks. Can’t wait 😊. I am in the EU. Congrats on your M2, Grigio Telesto looks great. I prefer mine in black.
