Ahhh Neil. I feel for you. I drove a z4m around London for 5 years before getting the hell out of there. Cut forward and I just (today!) agreed to buy a TG M2 in Luxembourg. You need to take the car on a little holiday over here, our roads are perfect (genuinely race track quality, it’s insane) and empty with some cracking roads plus we are about 90 mins from the ring and Spa…this is M2 land
I got my M2 in March last year. You nailed exactly how I feel about the car too. It uses a lot of fuel warming itself up in the first miles. The tyres are terrible when it’s cold too. I was taking mine to work everyday, 800 to 900miles per month. It was costing me £300 a month in petrol and I was just sitting in traffic. So I leased an EV for £300 a month and it’s costing me £30 a month in electric The M2 is now sat in the garage and I’m longing for warmer days I did have a few genuinely epic drives in it last year though. It’s the memory of those and looking forward to getting to do the same again that’s keeping it here I find it quite comfortable tbh.
Yea I was gonna say that and I forgot to, that it was probably more suited as a second car for the summer than a daily... it's perfectly usable as a daily but there are far better cars for that. And re the comfortableness, maybe it's just the roads up here, the ride is very very firm and stiff but again it's to be expected. I've just come out of a luxury Audi Q7 so my yard stick for comfort is quite extreme haha
@ I have been thinking I do need to go back to my original plan of using this as my daily thought. I just need to get some Cross Climate tyres for autumn/winter I did have a similar back end moment passing through Bishop Auckland last weekend. I wasn’t travelling particularly quickly, but was grateful I was the only car on the roundabout
@@FreemanOfYork I'll be honest it's pretty dangerous car especially in wet conditions no grip at all. Although I love it say it's fun to have RWD agree. It would be nice to have the option.. Owning this beast is frustrating in the UK but hopefully in the spring things will pick up I can try it out bit more watch this space check out my posts on living with the M2 💨
@@nicholasdrivingacademy9435 yea in the summer I might be more inclined to venture out a bit further onto the rural B roads, at the moment I wouldn't dare cos they'll be caked in mud and slippy as all hell
I've had mine a month but with the P Zeros the car has zero grip in the wet it's dreadful, Even pulling away slowly it loses grip. I'm tempted to fit M Performance HAS which lowers the car but meant to improve ride quality whilst not invalidating the warranty. Also looking at Motech MW-X wheels with some Michelin PS4S's. Agree with you mpg not good and tank so small but like you mines just a toy so not using it everyday. Did you know holding the set button on steering wheel turns off speed limit warning. I'm having a few carbon bits by AutoID next week just to improve the look a little I find the car looks a little soft from factory.
This car needs AWD then it would be better than M3/4 I feel if it was out sell them. Plus I'd say it's 500 plus bhp I struggle to getting under 4sec to 62 due to grip. Great car I love it I'm off to Germany 🇩🇪 in summer car deserves proper boot ! 💨

@@nicholasdrivingacademy9435 Yes I still love it maybe AWD would take away that edge that makes you fear for your life whenever you floor it :) I have a 2012 911 Carrera S too but does have PS4S's and even in the wet it grips really well.
Yea I know about the set button, its just after 27 years of driving it's kinda hard if not impossible to suddenly remember some new mandatory thing to do every time you start driving, so I'm always gonna forget until it bongs and that's when I get pissed haha but yea in the wet it's seriously twitchy, even quarter throttle can have the back end spinning, I drove that M4 for 4 years and never once had a moment like that but these newer ones seem super slippy... maybe it's just the M2 I dunno. Which carbon parts are you getting? I've toyed with that idea but I don't want a full kit, but at the same time I can't decide which individual parts to get without making it look patchwork or like it's missing something

Knowing my luck I'd get to Germany and all the major Autobahns would have roadworks on them or it'd be torrential rain haha I still also can't figure out how to do launch control, I've turned DSC off, put it in all sports modes, hit the brake and accelerator but it doesnt activate launch control. No idea what I'm doing wrong.
Normally like these videos. After watching this, I feel depressed. Not a good thing to say. Sounds like a you problem, not a car problem lol and move somewhere else...
